oh gosh i think i discovered something really bad 😭😭😭 in episode one of the series you can see that somebody was attacked by a fork and says the person that attacked them was a she, if you look at 3:00 a clock has a fork stabbed into it. as we know eden is the ultimate clockmaker and also goes by she/her pronouns, the person stabbed by the fork (which im assuming is xander if you look at the pattern of the scratches on his eye) says "i made a massive mistake to trust them." and eden is probably the most "trustable" person in the cast. so i'm thinking eden was actually the one who attacked xanders eye, and maybe asked for him to kill teruko

Originally, this was supposed to include images so this comment may not make sense. I just copy and pasted this from my notes. I will release a google doc maybe tho I am going to share some theories. Something that has always caught my eye is how danganronpa despair time has a unique spin on the protagonist and antagonist roles. Ever since i heard the interpretations that Teruko is the antagonist but we are in her point of view, making her the protagonist of drdt, makes me interested already. However, after watching, I have noticed something about our fan favourite antagonist David. What if David Chiem was supposed to be the protagonist to the game’s system? The thought of this came to my mind when I noticed David Chiem’s ahoge. It is silly but he has the protagonist ahoge. I think the only character (besides Teruko) who has it. I’ve thought deeper into his role of the antagonist in Teruko’s eyes: what if he IS the protagonist to the game’s system, however turned to be the real antagonist all along. More points to support this, (credits to finally_in_reverse in the yt comments) in Literature Girl Insane fan-mv where David Chiem stars in, the description mentions this certain line: “In this situation, it is better to use full names over nicknames. Exclude our protagonist-he is not “that person.”” The protagonist is referred with he/him pronouns, so it can’t be Teruko since in canon, yknow. You know who else is referred in he/him pronouns? David Chiem. I do not know what the line means though, but I know David is very suspicious. It is obvious that Teruko has an antagonistic personality: pessimism and blunt. On the other hand, David’s personality at first was like a protagonist: hopeful, optimistic and awkward. (I cannot find keywords to describe personalities better, pls let me know if i seemed to mischaracterise them) However, he later descends to madness in chapter 2’s trial and reveals his true antagonistic personality. David was actually manipulative and selfish. I had this small thought: “was there/will there be a phase where Teruko acts like an actual protagonist?” But that is not important. I think there is a reason why he acts like a bitch though… let’s look at the lore I had a theory, the game is stuck in a time loop and David is trying to stop it. Veronika foreshadows this by telling us a story about “a boy stuck in a time loop and forced to watch his friends die for eternity” and so on. Some of the descriptions matches David, don’t you think? “While he is horrified at first” it could be David’s starry-eyed persona being genuine in the earlier time loops. “Becomes more concerned over his growing boredom” “starts to fall into a more sinister tone” David is foul-mouthed. Since the story Veronika talks about might be in the boy’s perspective… “protagonist descends into insanity over time” David is an insane person. manipulated people. It maybe not be accurate, but what Veronika said is definitely foreshadow. this reminded me of another part in Drdt, especially the way beginning of this serious, I had a thought: you know the mysterious, unnamed person in the prologue? What if the person in the beginning of the prologue, episode 1, is the boy stuck in the time loop The boy wants to end the killing game as he is sick of seeing his friends die. Using his memory of the previous loops, he tries to fix mistakes and even end up tricking the game system by switching David and Teruko’s roles in the game. Let’s go back to the literary girl nonsense mv. A screen cap shows a cast list. The main roles are listed: David Chiem and Xander Matthews. Which is unusual, Teruko is supposed to be the main cast right? Instead, she is listed under “supporting cast”. There was also a name: Mai Akasaki crossed out. If you don’t know Mai, she is the red hair girl that appeared in Teruko’s flashback. This proved my point further that David was the protagonist. Teruko was the antagonist. Xander could be the secondary protagonist that was supposed to live until the end of game then. Remember in chapter 1, there was a note saying “kill Teruko” that was sent to Xander? It was never confirmed who sent the note. But I do have an idea that David was the one that sent the note. Xander is a big fan of David, so David uses that as an advantage to control him to attempt to kill Teruko. But why would he do that? The answer is, so he messes up the Danganronpa’s system so the protagonist and antagonist roles switch, to stop the time loop I guess as he doesn’t want to watch his friends die all over again. And he has also been lead to insanity. David is not the only one I am suspicious about though… Veronika is suspicious. If the foreshadowing is true, how does she know all this? Could she be the mastermind? Maybe the game’s system got messed up so she broke in? Could she be involved with the mastermind, perhaps the traitor? David and Veronika definitely have memories about the past time loops then… Tdlr: David was the protagonist stuck in the time loop of the killing game. He was horrified at his friends dying so in the next loops, he tries to end the game, only resulting his friends die all over again and again. This time, he sends a note to his friend that stayed by him the last loops, Xander. This makes things different by switching his and Teruko’s roles of the “protagonist”, tricking the system. This is so he hopes things will turn out different and the game ends.
I feel like afew more people know they're in a loop and my main suspect is J : because when nico said that they did try to kill ace J was angry and talked about murder like she expirinced it alot before since she comes from a rich and famous family if one of her family members got murdered it will be in the news and people will talk about it since she and arturo who is a big fan of her family never bring it up its a sign that murder didn't come from her family her hatred for her family could be a sign she didn't have friends and that's because of her mother so murder had to come from somewhere else pheraps a killing game? Maybe I'm looking into it too far but that's my theory
@@beatrootsheep3746 so, a few people have considered Eden's personality to be very suspicious, as she is a very optimistic person in the middle of a killing game (she's also one of the people who didn't have breakdowns yet). By the way, she's trying really hard to befriend Teruko which is kind of weird. And they have also noted that Eden's talent is "Ultimate Clockmaker", which looks very suspicious due to the title. And I think Eden being the mastermind could correlate to the theory of a time loop since of the previous points.
I think 11 might be referring to David’s mentioned sister (episode 10 chapter 2), Diana. the spaces check out with the amount of letters in her first and last name
Why would he lie about having a sister and even give her a name? He only brought that up cause the cast was discussing Arturo's secret having a younger sister. He could just say he was always an only child and it would've had the same effect of not drawing suspicion onto him

Tbh... I think Hu is gonna end up being a culprit, because her hidden quote is 'I want to pay for what I've done. Even then, I want to live.' And sadly I think Hu is gonna kill David, hence the blood splatter on him with the words 'chapter 3' and 'I'll leave' shown at the end of this MV. Unless there's about to be some major plot twist in the Chapter 2 Trial involving Hu, such as her being Arei's killer, I don't see why else she'd be listed there. Hu is already very close to David, too- she said David knew how she felt, so like, it's implied she confided in him about her secret (speculated to be the suicide one) and there's definitely more to their relationship then we're seeing currently. I also have a theory based on Arturo's hidden quote 'You "hated them", but even that doesn't justify what you did' that Arturo is going to direct this quote at one of the killers in the trial, possibly one who did a double-kill judging by the word 'them' in the quote. If that's the case, Hu will probably kill David, and one other person. Ace, maybe, idk. In chapter 3: Because that's when the double-kills in Danganronpa always happen. This would explain why Xander listened to the note rather than flatly refused, because he looked up to David and had a celebrity crush (sort of) on him, meaning he would be more likely to follow orders if he knew it was from David. I presume that both David and Teruko knew Mai, but Mai suffered the consequences of Teruko’s bad luck and either died or wound up severely injured (most likely dead). Guys the last name on the supporting cast list at 3:06 says: "M[] Naegi" if you compare the three middle letters of the surname (if you can't see them zoom on the image they're barely visible) with the a, g, and e in Nageishi you'll see that; the first and second letters have a single pixel from the background in the middle and on the left side respectively, just like how the highest point of the parabola in the letter a is in the middle and, in the e it's more on the left side since the right side of thw letter is fat, the third one is definitely a g as you can see by the barely visible line at the right side of the round part, and from that the other two make much more sense.

I guess despair time would be considered a reboot from the other killing games if we assume Danganronpas main timeline takes places in despair times timeline this would actually make sense since the biggest most despairing events in history gets referenced a lot in this franchise and monoKuma, The originals mascot of Danganronpa, Gets referenced a lot in this game I mean it could just be an oblivious reference to the main game but what struck me was when Veronika in chapter 2 ep 2 when they discovered the playground and we see kind of one of those swing devices that look literally identical to monokuma and Veronika literally acknowledges that it’s monoKuma, So that means monoKuma is a known person in that universe. And then she goes on a bit of a zone on how that said bear, was seen a lot in history class and how he was kind of worshiped at one point which literally seeps back to “the biggest most tragic events in history “ which is the big plot point in the main games! And also in mins VTD video she’s seeing helping someone study for this big history exam which is literally about “the biggest most tragic events in history” and also about how hope was able to evolve society from those events. I am going to share some theories.
Something that has always caught my eye is how danganronpa despair time has a unique spin on the protagonist and antagonist roles. Ever since i heard the interpretations that Teruko is the antagonist but we are in her point of view, making her the protagonist of drdt, makes me interested already. However, after watching, I have noticed something about our fan favourite antagonist David.
What if David Chiem was supposed to be the protagonist to the game’s system? The thought of this came to my mind when I noticed David Chiem’s ahoge. It is silly but he has the protagonist ahoge. I think the only character (besides Teruko) who has it. I’ve thought deeper into his role of the antagonist in Teruko’s eyes: what if he IS the protagonist to the game’s system, however turned to be the real antagonist all along.
More points to support this, (credits to finally_in_reverse in the yt comments) in Literature Girl Insane fan-mv where David Chiem stars in, the description mentions this certain line: “In this situation, it is better to use full names over nicknames. Exclude our protagonist-he is not “that person.”” The protagonist is referred with he/him pronouns, so it can’t be Teruko since in canon, yknow. You know who else is referred in he/him pronouns? David Chiem. I do not know what the line means though, but I know David is very suspicious.
It is obvious that Teruko has an antagonistic personality: pessimism and blunt. On the other hand, David’s personality at first was like a protagonist: hopeful, optimistic and awkward. (I cannot find keywords to describe personalities better, pls let me know if i seemed to mischaracterise them) However, he later descends to madness in chapter 2’s trial and reveals his true antagonistic personality. David was actually manipulative and selfish. I had this small thought: “was there/will there be a phase where Teruko acts like an actual protagonist?” But that is not important. I think there is a reason why he acts like a bitch though… let’s look at the lore
I had a theory, the game is stuck in a time loop and David is trying to stop it. Veronika foreshadows this by telling us a story about “a boy stuck in a time loop and forced to watch his friends die for eternity” and so on. Some of the descriptions matches David, don’t you think?
“While he is horrified at first” it could be David’s starry-eyed persona being genuine in the earlier time loops.
“Becomes more concerned over his growing boredom”
“starts to fall into a more sinister tone” David is foul-mouthed. Since the story Veronika talks about might be in the boy’s perspective…
“protagonist descends into insanity over time” David is an insane person. manipulated people.
It maybe not be accurate, but what Veronika said is definitely foreshadow. this reminded me of another part in Drdt, especially the way beginning of this serious,
I had a thought: you know the mysterious, unnamed person in the prologue?
What if the person in the beginning of the prologue, episode 1, is the boy stuck in the time loop
The boy wants to end the killing game as he is sick of seeing his friends die. Using his memory of the previous loops, he tries to fix mistakes and even end up tricking the game system by switching David and Teruko’s roles in the game. Let’s go back to the literary girl nonsense mv.
A screen cap shows a cast list.
The main roles are listed: David Chiem and Xander Matthews. Which is unusual, Teruko is supposed to be the main cast right? Instead, she is listed under “supporting cast”. There was also a name: Mai Akasaki crossed out. If you don’t know Mai, she is the red hair girl that appeared in Teruko’s flashback.
This proved my point further that David was the protagonist. Teruko was the antagonist. Xander could be the secondary protagonist that was supposed to live until the end of game then.
Remember in chapter 1, there was a note saying “kill Teruko” that was sent to Xander? It was never confirmed who sent the note. But I do have an idea that David was the one that sent the note. Xander is a big fan of David, so David uses that as an advantage to control him to attempt to kill Teruko. But why would he do that? The answer is, so he messes up the Danganronpa’s system so the protagonist and antagonist roles switch, to stop the time loop I guess as he doesn’t want to watch his friends die all over again. And he has also been lead to insanity.
David is not the only one I am suspicious about though… Veronika is suspicious. If the foreshadowing is true, how does she know all this? Could she be the mastermind? Maybe the game’s system got messed up so she broke in? Could she be involved with the mastermind, perhaps the traitor?
David and Veronika definitely have memories about the past time loops then…
Tdlr: David was the protagonist stuck in the time loop of the killing game. He was horrified at his friends dying so in the next loops, he tries to end the game, only resulting his friends die all over again and again. This time, he sends a note to his friend that stayed by him the last loops, Xander. This makes things different by switching his and Teruko’s roles of the “protagonist”, tricking the system. This is so he hopes things will turn out different and the game ends.

By the way, she's trying really hard to befriend Teruko which is kind of weird. And they have also noted that Eden's talent is "Ultimate Clockmaker", which looks very suspicious due to the title. And I think Eden being the mastermind could correlate to the theory of a time loop since of the previous points.
I think 11 might be referring to David’s mentioned sister (episode 10 chapter 2), Diana. the spaces check out with the amount of letters in her first and last name

Tbh... I think Hu is gonna end up being a culprit, because her hidden quote is 'I want to pay for what I've done. Even then, I want to live.' And sadly I think Hu is gonna kill David, hence the blood splatter on him with the words 'chapter 3' and 'I'll leave' shown at the end of this MV. Unless there's about to be some major plot twist in the Chapter 2 Trial involving Hu, such as her being Arei's killer, I don't see why else she'd be listed there. Hu is already very close to David, too- she said David knew how she felt, so like, it's implied she confided in him about her secret (speculated to be the suicide one) and there's definitely more to their relationship then we're seeing currently.
I also have a theory based on Arturo's hidden quote 'You "hated them", but even that doesn't justify what you did' that Arturo is going to direct this quote at one of the killers in the trial, possibly one who did a double-kill judging by the word 'them' in the quote. If that's the case, Hu will probably kill David, and one other person. Ace, maybe, idk. In chapter 3: Because that's when the double-kills in Danganronpa always happen. And Hu has reason to "hate" David now, and she already hates Ace.

Theory: David may have manipulated Xander into killing Teruko, to avenge Mai in some sort of way. This would explain why Xander listened to the note rather than flatly refused, because he looked up to David and had a celebrity crush (sort of) on him, meaning he would be more likely to follow orders if he knew it was from David.
I presume that both David and Teruko knew Mai, but Mai suffered the consequences of Teruko’s bad luck and either died or wound up severely injured (most likely dead). This could have lead David to grow hateful towards Teruko and believing it was her fault, which isn’t much of a stretch considering the few memories that remain intact prior to the Killing Game are ones that the Headmaster believes would be more likely to drive you to kill.
This isn’t to say David didn’t love/care for Xander, he very clearly did, this is just some food for thought.

I think it's also confirmed that Whit has an Asian parent but I can't confirm nor deny this.
If we go back to the footnote, we can see it talks about a superstition found mainly in Eastern Asia and families that come from that area. This may lead us to believe that this specific note is on about the listed characters.

Guys the last name on the supporting cast list at 3:06 says: "M[] Naegi" if you compare the three middle letters of the surname (if you can't see them zoom on the image they're barely visible) with the a, g, and e in Nageishi you'll see that; the first and second letters have a single pixel from the background in the middle and on the left side respectively, just like how the highest point of the parabola in the letter a is in the middle and, in the e it's more on the left side since the right side of thw letter is fat, the third one is definitely a g as you can see by the barely visible line at the right side of the round part, and from that the other two make much more sense.

Okay. WOOOOOOOOOOOO here we go. Solving all of them as best as I can in the morning.
[1] A person named @Finally_in_reverse actually brought up a great idea. They said that David Chiem is the true protagonist, sitting across the mascot (stereotypical DR Protag position) and that "that person" is perhaps referring to him lying about being a shitty person.
[2] I don't know what this could exactly be referring to, if anything, but that's the scientific name of the common fruit fly. Min has said this before, do you remember? E. Coli is a bacteria--perhaps this is referring to how something, or someone has been acting like a "pest" towards the cast or other people. It could also refer to someone who is "sick", in the cast. This could be sick physically, or sick in the head--mentally. Who knows?
[3] Copyright law, as defined in Title 17 of the United States Code, protects "original works of authorship fixed in a tangible medium of expression" for a limited period. So this has something to do with copyright, no matter the exact details. I'm going to let you guys theorize on that, because I currently have absolutely no idea, besides it having to do with the TV show.
[4] Another person named @Youwillfindmeeverywhere theorized this has something to do with East Asian background, which is derived from their names. They believe the people this is referring to are:
David Chiem
Hu Jing
Min Jeung
Teruko Tawaki
Arei Nageishi
Nageishi is also a British surname, so I think this is a way to cross her off.
Now to add to this, who's dead from this list? Excluding Arei, it leaves Min Jeung. This has something to do with Min, or possibly Arei.
[5] I have abso no idea, but after doing some research I stumbled upon the word "mokusatsu." Meaning, ignore. Perhaps this could mean something?

X is written on all of their portraits, the sign of their death. Now why J, you may ask? Well, J specifically noted that she's surrounded by dead people, so perhaps this is important. Another thing to note is the number 10 in their info. Ace was born in October, the tenth month of the year. Hu Jing is 5'10. Min Jeung's birthday is *July 10th.* Bit ironic this video is being posted in July too, hm?

I believe this fully because nobody, ever, has talked about Diana Chiem before. David Chiem is famous--so people would at least see, AND/OR SAY SOMETHING about his sister. However, in trial, nothing was mentioned. I wonder why? :]

I think [3] is a reference that the original danganronpa timeline takes place in despair time universe!
I guess despair time would be considered a reboot from the other killing games if we assume Danganronpas main timeline takes places in despair times timeline this would actually make sense since the biggest most despairing events in history gets referenced a lot in this franchise and monoKuma, The originals mascot of Danganronpa, Gets referenced a lot in this game I mean it could just be an oblivious reference to the main game but what struck me was when Veronika in chapter 2 ep 2 when they discovered the playground and we see kind of one of those swing devices that look literally identical to monokuma and Veronika literally acknowledges that it’s monoKuma, So that means monoKuma is a known person in that universe. And then she goes on a bit of a zone on how that said bear, was seen a lot in history class and how he was kind of worshiped at one point which literally seeps back to “the biggest most tragic events in history “ which is the big plot point in the main games! And also in mins VTD video she’s seeing helping someone study for this big history exam which is literally about “the biggest most tragic events in history” and also about how hope was able to evolve society from those events. I think that should prove everything. Or if we actually go out of the game that might be their way of telling The team of Danganronpa about the copyright use I don’t know🤷♂️
