1:30 I don't think that was scripted and most likely was a mistake or improv on Cage's part, but Michael Bowen stayed in character and Deborah Foreman's face goes from shock to laughter so naturally that Martha Coolidge used it.
Agreed. While it's cute and romantic in a movie, in reality when a girl tells you that she's done with you then accept it and move-on even if you know her decision was hasty and irrational. Pursuing her afterwards almost always comes across as either desperate/pathetic at best or super-creepy stalkerish at worst.
nope, he simply took over the real persons tasks, didn't you see him grabbing the tray from the real worker at the drive in before coming out the door?
This guys is crazy! The new movie totally makes him the bad guy instead of two people struggling to figure themselves out and fit together and with the world. Also, this shows how less and less people wore over time...
@Light in the Piazza I wish it would truly come back. I was age 3-13 and toys was my game lol. I'd love to look like the adults did back then. Except the shoulder pads.
@Light in the Piazza nothing beats the 80s that's for sure. I was a teen and young adult throughout the 90s and it was probably a different experience for me than you. It was awesome and the clothes for me in the 90s was the same for you in the 80s. But, if I had to choose, I'd definitely choose 80s adult over 90s anyday.
Let the girl come to you I always was told that the girl always should come to the man but it maybe not work like that if you are single for so long may not even get a chance to date just saying but anyway
As someone who has been stalked in real life and there was still nothing the police could do, no he wouldn't. The police would show up and would escort him off of her lawn. She would take out a restraining order, but even if he violated the order, nothing would be done. This guy is harmless, but plenty of women have been murdered behind stuff like this.
Oh, the days of sitting around listening to the radio; miss those days
" To Julie his favorite Valley Girl Randy sends his undying love and says " LIKE COME BACK SOON YA KNOW".
One of my top five movies. The soundtrack is off the chain!

Are we going to talk about the creepy AF doll that she sleeps with?
Seriously!
Too old to be sleeping with dolls and a creepy clown at that!
“No but your face is” 😂😂
40 freaking years ago seems like it was only a couple of years ago. Where has time gone?

@@jocelynmurillo1145 Unless it's in 1983. But yea just let it go.
Not unless you want to spend money on legal fees.
"Have a nice flight" 🤣
Well Peter Piper Picked A Pepper I Guess I Did. 🤣
Yep Cage nailed this gig an Oscar winner in the making right here!!!
Have a nice flight!
Now a days if you camp out on some girls lawn you're labeled a psycho stalker, I miss the 80's.
PARI$ HILTON$ brother CONRAD seen in Bizarre video @ Ex-GF'$ home///I wonder did Con see this movie before he committed the stalk (oops;) stake out
It was totally different in the 80's!
Esoteric Mystery no, it wasn’t. It would’ve been creepy then, too. But this is just a movie.
😄 I'm used to it
Because 80s movies where ALL written, directed and controlled by men and they think being obnoxious is how to get girls.
Luv Nick cage timeless actor still have this on VHS
How fortunate that Randy just so happens to have gotten jobs in the places where Julie was going to be visiting with her friends.
nope, he simply took over the real persons tasks, didn't you see him grabbing the tray from the real worker at the drive in before coming out the door?
How fortunate that he knew exactly where to be at at the exact right time.
“I know what this is... it’s your friends!!! It’s your f- - king friends!!!” 😎
Like totally! No way!
The Best!
He can stalk me anyday
Why not ? He may be almost 60, he's still handsome.
This was the best part omfg 🤣🤣🤣🤖
So Valley Girl was actually a stalker film? Lol
In the 80s we didnt see this as "stalking".
This guys is crazy! The new movie totally makes him the bad guy instead of two people struggling to figure themselves out and fit together and with the world. Also, this shows how less and less people wore over time...
How was he in all of those places they went to?
She is so freaking cute in this movie. 🤩
Wish a guy was like that for me
Many years later, Tommy would meet the immortal Heisenberg…
My sister used to dress like Julie. Lol
@Light in the Piazza I remember. I'm a child of the 80s. My big sister was very stylish like Julie

I seen the new one it was alright
What's with the heart shaped shaved chest hair? lol
Julie, dressed as she was at :20, so my type. I would have pursued her nonstop if we were in the same high school! Wahi' Valleys
Ok so I just watched this movie for the first time and want to know why “bitchin” was so popular back then
like for sure
Yer a fox!
Let the girl come to you I always was told that the girl always should come to the man but it maybe not work like that if you are single for so long may not even get a chance to date just saying but anyway
Is Julie the girl from _Love Boat_ who developed a drug problem?
Yes, Lauren Tewes
The "Julie" in this movie is Deborah Foreman. Lauren Tewes was the "Julie" on "The Love Boat" who had the drug problem.
In today's socio political atmosphere, thanks to constructivists and so on, he would be in jail.
