Watching this while wearing my freshly serviced 1971 King Seiko 4502-7001 Hi-Beat(36000 BPH). 50 years old and still runs well within COSC. Heck, it even has an instantaneous date which GS only just recently reintroduced with its latest Hi-Beat movement. Vintage KS and GS have been underappreciated but things are changing. Really enjoyed watching this!

And now Seiko made a king seiko reissue putting a lame 6r movement in it, shitting on its own legacy.

Just discovered these talks. On my second one. The first one was a few hours ago. I'm addicted. Was always a fan of GS for years and read up so much on it but this is so thoroughly explained. Thank you. One day I hope to afford one. 🇿🇦🇿🇦

I have been a big fan of Seiko watches for nearly 3 decades. Seiko delivers impressive innovations across many time keeping technologies. Keep up the great work and thank you for this wonderful presentation Seiko and HSNY!

The gentleman who designed this beautiful feat of precision engineering, is most definitely a musician at down to his beating heart. Which is echoed quite literally through this symphony of moving parts. Like a Maestro, who’s able to bring harmony to an orchestra made up of many different types of musicians. A symphony is born.
It’s all possible because of his genius ability to keep time. I would’ve guessed he’d be more of a drummer than a guitarist. Either way.......... He’s created a Masterpiece.
And THAT takes talent, and tenacity. Both of which he clearly has.
    Too cool.

I’m watching this wearing my SLGH003 and am totally amazed on the new movement, specifically the dual impulse escapement on a free sprung balance wheel. Thanks to GS for the lecture...great new calibers.

Once again, some amazing insights. New information on GS-technology is always appreciated, especially from the creators themselves. Additionally, Joe does a great job conveying GS to an american audience and bridges the significant culture gap quite well.

Thanks to Grand Seiko ! My Snowflake is magnificent. Spring drive is running around +10 seconds, per MONTH.
My expectations were for the details to "be right", even under magnification. And have the highest standard of accuracy, built by "craftsman" with the intent of excellence.
Grand Seiko surpassed my expectations with this watch.

And now you tell me, that ROLX is innovative by giving us new color dails and bezels........its a shame that ROLEX is overhyped. Not even close to watchmaking artistry.
Grand Seiko and all other Independents should be honored.
