Chick-fil-A has excellent customer service. One Saturday evening, I placed my order at the drive-thru. There were five (5) cars in front of me. I waited in line patiently, because the place was very busy. Then, a friendly young woman walked out the back door of the restaurant. She addressed me by name and said, "You're order was ready, and we didn't want you to have to wait." She handed me my order, which was completed perfectly. I drove pass the other 5 cars and headed home. I have never been treated with so much respect by a restaurant. They really do treat their customers with the same respect as they would the president. Chick-fil-A won my loyalty that evening!

He was truly a great man, and supported our organization’s yearly fundraising golf tournament by catering our event for free. We have a new one recently (and yes, it too is very busy - but the location is easier) - we both have commented in the superior food and service - so many other fast food type places are getting so truly stupid with lazy workers, wrong orders, etc. % it’s very nice to go eat where people are truly happy to work there. I love the original nuggets and my husband gets the grilled ones - got a chicken sandwich this last week and really enjoyed it. Mr. Cathy was a good friend to my Dad and my Grandparents. When he was ready to open the first Chick-fil-A (Greenbrier), he called my dad and said, "Earle, I know you have three boys. Do any of them need a job?" I was too young and my older brother was already employed. My brother between us took the offer and worked for Chick-fil-A for a number of years. Years later, I managed the one in Dalton at the mall. Other members of my family have worked for them. I went to high school with Dan, Bubba, and Trudie. I still have Dan's campaign button that says. I remember back in 1971, there was a Chick-Fil-A at the Dutch Square Mall in Columbia, SC; my mom and I were shopping seemingly all night, but we rested our feet and got an order of french fries there; it seemed SO COOL that we were eating in a restaurant...inside a shopping mall! (Remember, this is 1971 we're talking about)

When you know how all the other fast food joints operate, it's a real disgrace that they got so much flak just because the owner supported his church. Funny, but the only other really good place--In n Out--is also Christian and family owned. I'm not a Christian, but I have to respect that. Glad the public saw the light and set itself free to enjoy the sandwiches. We don't have to all go along with anyone's religion, whether traditional or secular. A bully is a bully, and the end doesn't justify the means.

First time I had CFA was in Columbus Square Mall (now gone) in Columbus, Georgia around 1980-81. It wasn’t in a food court - just in between regular stores. As soon as I exited the main anchor store (Sears) into the hallway, the aroma hit me and drew me right in. I’d never smelled or tasted anything like that. It was my favorite for decades. I still like it, but after the 90s, it changed somewhat. Maybe it’s just me getting old, lol.

I agree with Trublu, your videos takes me back to simpler times, chick f l, is the best!!, I love KFC, but... chick F L. Is my favorite. , several years ago CFL had a calendar for 10.00, each month there was a free food item, around 2007 CFL employees would give free coupons for a food item at the door, now, theres no coupons, no calendars, humm, I wonder what Mr.Cathy would have to say about that now days?, I understand that it's up to the owners to decide what's free, but still, as much money as the franchise makes, a free sandwich couldn't hurt their budget. But their still my favorite. Thanks for sharing another great video. 😊🌹🌻

The franchise was new at the time and this store was busy. I remember the bench seats and the front counter. My family would go there because we loved the chicken. Far better than say KFC, no disrespect. But I remember the sign. I remember wondering as a child, and not on just one occasion, why the company spelled chicken without the K? Even my brother remembers thinking is was somehow Chic meaning classy like the fashion brand.
