Hello everyone! Super excited to bring this series to you! This series will not replace Verde Beach or Clearwater County, but rather will be the new Thursday series. This will likely run significantly shorter than previous series, but we're going to let the story go where it goes, like I usually do.
I have put together a one-click collection for the series that you can find here - steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2859197846 . I have verified that this list is 100% working as of posting and all mods are compatible with the P&P DLC. For my assets, I am still working on beefing up descriptions and images, so things may change over the next little while. Enjoy!

I like the idea of minimal mods but more extensive use of custom assets. The vanilla game is just pretty unrealistic with the way it handles some buildings (like schools) and I think it would really help the feel of the city without making it over-modded.

I'd assume a very similar trajectory to the RL Michilimackinac area, so I think the forests were probably clear cut in the late 1800s. Nothing here is old growth unless it's super inaccessible. In some of the other cities in the UP you do find some truly ridiculous grades, so I'd totally expect that around Superior.
I'd love to see you really maximize the scenic potential of the lakeshore state highway -- little waysides and rest areas where people can take in the bridge, the straits, and the island.

This series looks super promising, I can’t wait to see where it goes. I have a suggestion that would be great for a later episode, a fort of some type. By this I mean a colonial type of fort. The French (whom you mentioned in the intro) established a system of forts that also served as trading posts that stretched from the Atlantic Ocean in Quebec all the way to the Mississippi River, cities like Detroit got their start like this in the early 1700s. The French set up a large number of these in the Great Lakes. An example in a very similar place would be the real Fort Michilimackinac that is located in Mackinac, Michigan. Something like this would be so cool to see if you can find the assets for it. I think it would be cool to see a nod to the often overlooked colonial history of the Great Lakes.

Hey! i know this is supposed t be lightly modded, but please consider using theme manager to limit the more ugly assets from vanilla, and maybe group some in some custom themes for some neighborhoods, just so the looks stays more consistent and realistic. maybe do a little plopping too

Started in on this series for our daughter (who loves falling asleep to your videos) literally the night after a dentist trip to the tribal clinic in St. Ignace. Cannot say I ever expected to find something like this in a Skylines video journal, much less from our favorite creator! Miigwech for not forgetting about us in your lore, too. Very excited to see where this one goes.

I do not understand the arguments about mods. People will say it takes away from the game which I can understand if you turn on unlimited money but the way you’ve build CWC was amazing! I think mods open up creativity and make these cities look far more realistic! I love seeing mods being used!

Just came across this series after getting back into C:S after a few years and picking up a vast majority of the DLC! I'm loving it so far, hearing your thought process as you build an organic looking city is refreshing, and I feel like I'm learning more from you than I did with the in-game tutorial system! Keep up the great work!

I love how you've taken a game in a genre not really known for storytelling and made it a vehicle for such rich stories and histories. I started watching your videos because I was fascinated by what you teach us about what goes into real city planning but I've stayed because I really love the stories you tell with your cities.

Super excited for this miniseries!! Two comments:
    A) The fishing industry isn't making money because you're filling the warehouse instead of exporting the fish.
    B) I would rotate the fish market so the open stalls are facing the lake, then trim down the treeline for a great view of where the fish came from!

You inspired me to buy this game and I played it for the first time today. Your beginners guide was the first series of your that I watched and I’ve been so thankful for your tutelage! I had to restart 3 times because I ran out of money and couldn’t build essential city services but now I’m on a roll and the city of Robert Town is looking good! Thanks again for the many hours of entertainment and education.

Definitely am excited about this city build. It feels different from Verde Beach and Clearwater. Also like how you are being more strict on yourself and what houses can be destroyed and not, where roads can go and not. This feels like its going to be more natural. I can't wait to see where you take this.

Thank you for such an interesting introduction. I lived in Kingston, Ontario, for 3 years growing up when my dad worked at Fort Frontenac (Canadian Military Academy). My brother worked as a re-enactment soldier at Fort Henry/Frontenac, the history of the area is amazing and learning about the Native American tribes that preceded colonisation is much needed.
Keen to dig into this series and get familiar with Cities Skylines again awaiting the new game! Thank you.

Been a member now for maybe 5 months and have watched your videos for probably a year. I really enjoy what you put together. Huge fan of all of your series’, especially the explanation of how the game mechanics work and how things work in real life aspects of planning. I’ve been playing this game for a couple of years on PS4, but after watching this particular episode, I think my PC could handle the mods you’re using here (because I’d love to try mods after being stuck in vanilla for so long but I don’t have the money for a super fancy gaming computer lol). So I think I might finally make the switch to PC haha. Thanks again for sharing your hobby with us. Looking forward to the next episode.
