The only problem is that Donald Trump owns a 757.

It is absolutely one the most beautiful and versatile aircraft ever, but underrated? The 757 is quite famous and has always been highly praised, so not underrated in the slightest.

I used to fly on the BA 757s regularly in the late 80s between Heathrow and Amsterdam, stunning performance. I remember one morning there had been an ATC computer problem and there was a backlog of flights which they were trying to clear. We took off from 27L whilst another 757 took off simultaneously from 27R (thankfully they both turned away in opposite directions!) and I had a superb view of the other aircraft climbing parallel on our starboard side. It was the only time I have experienced a simultaneous take off such as this. One of the most impressive airliners ever built, in my opinion

One of my fave aircraft. Exception take off performance and range. That shot of the Ambassador at dusk was amazing. If I recall correctly, Sunways were a Turkish charter carrier with MD-8x’s too.

The Ambassador at dusk was shot in freezing temperatures, which the camera did not like - it makes the tape slip - and unfortunately, the tape ended just where you see it fade out on the video. Annoying at the time, but I'm glad I have some record of those days.

Mate I worked for Ambassador and you made my night! So many memories of a great but short lived airline. I was NCL based and DZ and DX where almost always my aircraft we had. Brand new shiney birds then! Thank you!

Boeing were dumb to scrap the tooling of the 757 and push on with the 737 IMO.

Can't believe I missed a Monarch 757 at Southend! Good footage though. The acceleration on them apparently was second only to Concorde for commercial airliners of all time.Did you manage to get any of the more recent 757-300's that were in Thompson I think they were?!

Sadly , I missed videoing the last (for now, we hope) 757''s. The short take-off of 'JB must be about the minimum for this type..!

Yep, when light the 757's are up very very quick. I hope we have not seen the last of them just yet.

Ha I remember flying on a monarch 757 about 28 years ago to Orlando stopping at Bangor Maine on the way, dropping out of the murk and seeing nothing but pine trees a few feet down then thankfully a runway, pilots were cool and allowed us up front to look at cockpit, I asked how many mpg we was getting and he said it was about the same as a mini! on the way home I recall sitting by a door with a freezing cold draft by my feet and seeing ice around the edges, I asked for an extra blanket for my feet and a really miserable trolly dolly by the name of Judy begrudgingly handing me one, strange what you remember, oh yeah I seen Mickey Mouse too at Disney... I think 😂
