DISCLAIMER - THIS IS AN APRIL FOOLS JOKE !! - Хобби
It took me a second to realize it's April Fool's Day today!
😂same here😂
Absolute classic! I don't know how you kept a straight face throughout!!
he forgot the sugar...
😂😂
That is exactly what I needed, since akadama is so expensive. Changed every tree, but the azaleas, I used honey pops. I water them with applejuice to get the acidity.
❤❤❤😂
The best April fools ever! Thank you Corin for making me laugh out loud whilst you were explaining everything so seriously. Amazing sense of humour and character
I repotted my Norwegian blue spruce in this suggested substrate not more than 15 minutes ago and it is now pining for the fjords.
Hilarious!!! I'm still cracking up. I can't believe you kept a straight face, especially when explaining watering with milk. Thanks for the laughs!
You managed to keep a straight face for MOST of the video ... Brilliant!
BRILLIANT!!!! Corin . . . how you kept a straight face throughout is beyond me. I was laughing my socks off! 🤣😂🤣
Absolute classic. Thanks mate.
😅great for 1st of April.....love it
Lol well done guys! I clocked it from the beginning, had me in stitches all the way
Absolutely love this video, thanks Corin and happy April 1st.
Absolutely brilliant!!! Thank you, Corin!
You are an absolute legend Corin! This totally made my day! Thank you so much for not only being an inspiration for the bonsai community but also just being a top quality person! I love your videos. Keep them coming 👍👍❤❤🙏🙏
❤
😂😂👏👏 Brilliant! How you kept a straight face I do not know!! Brightened up my day👍
I new what was coming. Love your sense of humor.
Amazing to think Corin managed to hold it in for the whole time, I never would have been able to do that in one take 😂😂
🙂 nice one, definitely put a smile on my face after a difficult day!
Looks like it drains well, plus you get the snap, crackle, and pop! Brilliant!
Ended me with the transition to semi skimmed! Excellent 😂
Brilliant, great job on this. The milk selection part was the best bit
Brilliant! Love it.
Outstanding!
Blooming hilarious 😂 I didn't click for a good few seconds!! Great job guys
Love it! Delivered with such a straight face it required the extra disclaimer at the end.... just to be sure! 🤣👍
That was brilliant 😂 loved it
Brilliant, well done.
I'd heard about this video but just found it! What a classic! You just started to break a smile at the milk bit! Well done, Corin!
Absolute quality and probably the best April fools joke I've ever seen.
Love it.
I just repotted my 32 year old wisteria in this soil. Great tip.
Brilliant mate!
Classic!!! One for the ages! And you kept a straight face and your usual cadence!😂
Absolutely brilliant! That face, throughout the whole video... Marvellous video, between all that - often deadly serious - bonsaï videos on RUclips... My compliments!
Corin you are a real actor. With compliments
Very nice!, Happy Spring and Apil 1st
Why was I watching this thinking, “I could have used cheap cereal?” He looked and sounded so serious.
Had me going for a few, very funny, thanks
Pure gold loved it
Genius! Nice one.
Brilliant, i'll be out today repotting all my trees Don't know how you kept you face straight throughout that!
You got me, I even forward the video to my brother before it ended..
I just repotted my 150 year old Japanese Maple in Rice Krispies! Thanks for the tip!
Oscar-winning performance, I couldn't have kept a straight face through that. I would add a bit of grit though, to help drainage. 🤣🤣🤣
all the best.
Oh man!!! You had me going for a while there. :-)
I’ve been using fruit loops for my fruit tree bonsai for about 2yrs now and I must say they are fruiting this spring for sure😊
😂😂❤
😂
I like to use Coco Pops because the darker colour is less distracting from the tree and they are so chocolatey they even turn the milk brown.
Save the Rice Krispies for Azalea.
🤣😂🤣😂Absolutely made my day. Brilliant
Thanks, I have never heard of this before. You better start planning for next year's experiment.
i eat akadama for breakfast now , my teeth love it! Ad a little bit of pumice too to bleech ... great stuff Corin! You re an actor man !
I was laughing out loud what a classic....well done ....
I didn't click until the coco pops came in!! Well done Corin. I was about to raid the cereal cupboard to re-pot a larch.
Nice one. Nearly had me there.
Now that's thinking inside the box!
You did well keeping a straight face 😂
Best ever! Snap crackle pop!
Good one!
Hahahaha you made my day I knew from the beginning this was a sarcastic demonstration. Love it your the best
Sarcastic ? me ?
That was great!
Excellent wind up
Haha 😂 love it!
Had me going! Very Funny!!
You are a genius 🥳🤣😂 Respekt!
I would have loved to have seen your face and the person recording this after the video was done. I’m sure you guys were snap, crackling and popping with laughter. This was really good.😂
Corin you're a GENIUS! thanks! 😂😂😂😂😂
Bonsai going 'Snap, Crackle, Pop'. Good one Corin.
You nearly broke into a smile!! 😂
😂 You got me . Happy April Fools Day
Okay, I admit, I initially thought you had totally lost it. Maybe even having a meltdown. Then about 15 seconds after you mentioned using a cereal as a soil medium my, just waking up, brain synapses clicked into awareness that this was an APRIL FOOLS joke. I too want to commend you for keeping a straight face and your seriousness of expressions. GOOD ONE MY FRIEND !
Love it
Brilliantly played 😂
Well played
😂😂😂absolutely hilarious 😂 I’m never gonna look a serial in the same way 😂😂
Putting number two in your compost is always a good idea, esp. cow or horse number two
😂So good. "Snap crackle and pop"! 🤣
Thanks for the April fools joke I loved it.
I was like no way that can't be good for any tree. But it did pop a possible soil mix in my head using crushed granite and grape nuts.
you absolute legend
OMG, that's a fantastic idea with the Rice Krispies. I can't wait to tell the organisations I subscribe to about this exciting idea. SPOON, the Society for the Preservation and Observation of Nature, will definitely want regular updates, as will NUTS, National Union of Tree Specialists, however, WEEDS, Worldwide Enthusiasts for Exotic Developments in Soil may want to contact you directly as they're devoted to exploring unique plant growth! Good luck with the tests and keep an eye on your inbox!
Brilliant, together we can conker this ground breaking research and branch out to others.
Cracking! Very funny..just for a second it had me….😂😂
very good hope you have a nice day
BRILLIANT!!! Corin😴
Haha 😂 at first I was thinking you must be joking, I like the coco pops bit
Superb! How did you keep a straight face?!
Haha, fantastic!
Great snap, crackle and pop 😂
🤣😂🤣 Oh Snap.... Crackle!.... Pop!... Corin, its great to see your sense of humour in these videos 👍
Brilliant! That's all I'm saying.
... I have been using shredded wheat for air learning.. very good results..
You could also use Sugar Puffs or crunchy nut cornflakes
Man, you TOTALLY had me going until the Coco Pops. I was like, "Huh?" And then when you got out the milk, I thought, "Oh damn, got me." 🤣
😂 love it !
My wife likes Grape Nuts Cereal. Pretty sure you really could use that stuff for bonsai. On the flip side, I’m sure there are a variety of bonsai mediums that taste better than Grape Nuts. I hope you have this in the UK, I’d hate to think we have this all to ourselves here in the US. Excellent video!
I use rice crispys for AirLayering branded or not good results 😊
The tip about slowly transitioning to whole milk is crucial. Thanks for that instructional video.
Unfortunately what you save in substrate cost you will make up with the cost of milk.
;)
It's okay, I've bought a couple of cows to keep in the field, so we have enough to do all our trees !!
Do the cows prune your field grown bonsai stock? Are the cows hard to train for Japanese esthetic appreciation?
😂 good one mate!
Thank you Corin, now me and my Bonsais can finallly share the same food 😂
All this with a deadpan straight face !! Where’s that Oscar?
You legend ! This made me laugh so hard ! !
Best April fools I've seen, fantastic!
Love it 😂
And you actually poured the milk on it 😂😂😂, bravo!!! Bravo!!! 🎉 I've been using Lucky Charms for propagation over here in the US, it has magical rooting hormone properties!
Man, I dont know how you kept a straight face through that.
