    That is exactly what I needed, since akadama is so expensive. Changed every tree, but the azaleas, I used honey pops. I water them with applejuice to get the acidity.

    I’ve been using fruit loops for my fruit tree bonsai for about 2yrs now and I must say they are fruiting this spring for sure😊

    I like to use Coco Pops because the darker colour is less distracting from the tree and they are so chocolatey they even turn the milk brown.
    Save the Rice Krispies for Azalea.

    Okay, I admit, I initially thought you had totally lost it. Maybe even having a meltdown.     Thanks for the April fools joke I loved it.
    I was like no way that can't be good for any tree. But it did pop a possible soil mix in my head using crushed granite and grape nuts.

    My wife likes Grape Nuts Cereal. Pretty sure you really could use that stuff for bonsai. On the flip side, I’m sure there are a variety of bonsai mediums that taste better than Grape Nuts. I hope you have this in the UK, I’d hate to think we have this all to ourselves here in the US. Excellent video!

    The tip about slowly transitioning to whole milk is crucial. Thanks for that instructional video.
    Unfortunately what you save in substrate cost you will make up with the cost of milk.
