Time the Press (MSM) and Constitutional Law got onto the right side of history and informed democracy - Thank heavens for human rights lawyers like Jennifer Robinson and journalists like Julian Assange.
100% support for Assange . The persecution of Assange and other whistle blowers reveals starkly the breakdown of our democracy and corruption of our institutions .
the US extradition request relies on the contested principle of extra-territoriality, which claims that a person can be sent to any country which alleges a crime, even if the crime itself wasn’t committed on that country’s soil. This principle in particular “sets a spine-chilling precedent”, says former foreign minister Bob Carr. “It would mean that any Australian who offended a foreign security service could be subject to that service grabbing them by the throat and hauling them off to a country they may never have visited to put them on trial.”
Harry Dunn was crusshed by Anne Saccolas and her extradition was rejected by USA administration. She is the wife of Intelligence Officer and she is charged for the dead of this teenager.
Trouble is the brainwashing and misframing is so effective that many people can believe he is not a journalist. Journalists basically do three things. They receive information from sources, they check for reliability of fact and whether it’s newsworthy, and they protect the sources. Provided these 3 are met they then publish. The *trouble* is that most people claiming to be journalists fail with one of the above 3 consistently, so they are not journalists, whilst Assange was one of the few journalists will around. That is the only reason he was targeted by Washington and put out of business.
No you are wrong, anyone who does what journalists do could be called a journalist. And the principle of the US constitution first amendment which says the press must be FREE. This mens there can be no conditions on reporting or journalists work. Which means anyone is allowed to be a journalist even those who have no formal training .
I tried to count the number of grammatical errors in your short sentence but gave up when I realized that it's not a sentence at all, it's a word salad.
@@KlausBahnhof thanks Klaus, yes i even hate stupid comments like the ones you responded to! Jennifer is a dedicated lawyer, more than anyone else who has fallen the steps upward or got successful and rich by some kind of relationship to the establishment.

Australia has no Bill of Rights
Great to see this at the NPC, so important the media get behind Assange no matter what their political bent.
The Australian National Press Club is a known Left-Wing Organization. Of course it’s no surprise they support Assange.
She is a legend.
glad i met her a few weeks ago, i had to shake her hand. an absolute legend she is
...and the lack of effective support from Australians and the Australian Government for someone who published what the Yanks did wrong.
Australians seem to struggle with anything intellectual

The criminals are making it a crime to report on their crimes. Stand up and get involved. A mass people's movement will set him free.
Still being held hostage by the USA
She uses people to get ahead. Even bad apples

People, ask yourself why. Why? Cause she seeks attention. Any cause that’ll get her attention, for herself.

What an absurd and incoherent statement.
