Goosebumps..........The single best thing that ever happened in the Premier League Era. No-one had more impact than Cantona, the most underrated player in PL history and the most loved French person ever in the UK and all around the world!!! God Bless you Eric...
How can you say he was under rated ? Won the old 1st Div won 1st prem title got United the Double Double! And most loved French person in uk was Henry. But Cantona got me to love this sport he is a god to me
@@davidmarchant9386 Ok I'll take your points in order. 1. His achievements are unsurpassed in the PL. No-one has had the effect Cantona had with style and trophies, so he should be rated by everyone as supreme but some fans still to this day don't appreciate just how good he was........So that is why he was underrated BY SOME!!! 2. Henry is not as loved as Cantona so immediately your statement is flawed. Manchester United are a far bigger club than Arsenal and have a million times more fans so OBVIOUSLY Cantona is loved more than Henry. So there you go.....NO oxymoron. A player can be the most loved and most underrated at the same time. It's not rocket science.
Greatest player to grace our football league in generations. That they still sing for him at Old Trafford every Christmas, is testament to the affection all us mancs have for him and the contribution he made to United's history. He is also a truly humble person and that speaks volumes about the man.
Merci vous m’avez donné les frissons supporters anglais C’est vraiment un bonheur d’entendre la marseillaise à Old trafford Mes Amitiés à vous de la France
I had a league match ticket book for the H stand (Now part of the SAF North Stand) for 4 years between 1991-1995. The best years. Cantona's header winner at Old Trafford in the 1-0 win over rivals Blackburn, was the last time I saw him play live, cause he kicked the Palace fan in the next game. I like to believe he knew it was my last season watching and kicked the fan in frustration, ha!
I remember me and my elder bro talking about his retirement..I was 16 and had just entered college..my bro was a hardcore MU fan then...it did seem the retirement was premature..may be he could have taken another 8 months off...but who knows these things... King Cantona 👑❤️
Teleko Admasu definitely not , don’t get me wrong he was incredible on the pitch but he was too problematic , plus the fact that he declined the Aimé Jacquet offer’s to play as number 9
His retirement happened at exactly the right. The great player he was he just did not do it in European games for Man United. His departure opened the door for teddy sheringham. Again his availability at Tottenham came exactly at the right time when cantona was retiring. I don't think Man United would have done the treble with cantona and without sheringham. It was the other way round and they did it 🙂. Things really do happen at the right time and for a specific reason.
Un roi un joueur un vrai joueur de foot l'argent pour lui pas intéressant! sont clubs ❤reste Manchester un français qui n'aime pas les club français 😂 bravo à lui car la france la rejette comme une merde sur la ligue 1
Napoleon seeing an entire British stadium singing the anthem for a Frenchman : « So he succeeded and achieved what I couldn’t but by uniting the countries by peace, Hooray ! »

The true King of France and Manchester. The only French man who led hundred of thousands of Brits singing ‘la marseillaise’ with respect.
Never ever will a player be as loved at United as Eric was.
He was my favourite French player and will still forever.

My favourite player ever.
We were fucking spoiled to watch him and the lads in the early 90s.
There were a lot of tears shed that day. Thanks for the memories "KING"!

Goosebumps, truly legendary player
That's how we treat our legends ooh aah cantona......GGMU the best club in the world.
Cantona, the only guy who succeeded to make the English sing the french national anthem ! Congrats bro.
Nothing compares to him.
Greatest player in football HISTORY
Surely, couldn’t be better than Duncan Edwards?
The best one of Premier League! My best from Brazil guys!!
The pitch lap was respectable.
an english stadium singing La Marseillaise...
No, Eric’s home singing Ooh Aah Cantona
Tu l'entends ou la Marseillaise ?
@@fourfouille3896 pas les paroles mais sinon oui
Definitely the best player to wear a United shirt. No other player has come close, in my eyes
Agreed - and best ever in the premier league
Pre--Premier League- Best/ Best/ Charlton.

Fitting England win the World Cup and this guy is born in France, what a year shame when he retired
Legend😢
What a player
Sad to hear my favourite ever player admitting he'd lost his passion for the game.
Did he retire from playing in 1997?
yes
Dhi Mancini The French team in 98 was probably better without him
@@user-ur5xh9po4f no it was the other way round

Crazy how he looks old already here while he was only 32!!!! 2 years ago he was domnating football... wat a shame of an ending.
Bravo les anglais qu elle public 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
When English people sang your national team in front of you, only one …
The biggest alternate question of all…what if Eric play for France one more year in 1998

Passion. Exactement… Precisely what the Red Devil needs today!
Who is he??
LE ROI CANTONA
Is that Ken Dodd?!
And the legendary 7 went to a young celebrity who did a stupid thing to Diego Simeone in World Cup 98.
The guy stopped football cause he lost passion... Dont fuckin care about money.
Pure pitch lover.
Canto , un peu fada pour certains et adoré par d'autres ! Je ne le lui dirais pas en face , lol !

i quit futbol because.... ?
"I lost my passion for the game"
arsenal have henry, manchester have cantona
henry not in the same league as cantona. cantona was the most charismatic and stylish player ever aside from maradona...henry nowhere near.
