You should create a little questionnaire of these questions and post it for your RUclips followers to answer. That will increase your sample size significantly.
    You can include questions like:
    - When was the last time you played genshin?
    - What AR are you currently?
    - Are you f2p or a spender?
First 2 so you can have information on if they are current players and how much they play, and last question mainly because I feel it would be interesting to know.
Is there a trend between the amount of money people spend and their enjoyment of the game? I think that'd be interesting to see 🤔
Then do a follow up video with the summary of the results from the survey. I'd personally definitely watch that!

awesome idea, and finding out what they play on can impact results too. As a mobile player (with controller) I'm blown away at how such a massive elaborate game can be played on mobile compared to anything else that had been available before, but I can see how for pc players, compared to other games they have access to, it might not seem quite as impressive?
brilliant idea about asking last time they played. I think finding out when they started playing is good too. I started 3.4 and I was loving the game so much, but I had the benefit of a TON of exploration/quests rather than slow drip over time and that made the story more impactful too - now I'm caught up on everything and it doesn't feel as magical BUT I purposefully have half the exploration loot left to collect so I can go back to locations for nostalgia and enjoy the music lol. there is SO MUCH content for new players that it significantly impacts how the game is viewed. I might feel as jaded as veterans with nothing left to do, but I still have a bunch left so I'm enjoying it still

@trashbuilds8351 Ohh a very interesting perspective indeed! I started playing in 2022 and still love this game.
Content can get a little dry right at the end of a region but that's to be expected. Typically during those times I just chose a character I haven't built yet and do that until the next region is released.
My favourite part of the game is definitely the exploration as I have 100% on the entire map (including the additional areas like Enknomiya, Chasm underground, ect.) There may be patches I find a little boring at times, but overall I really love this game!

i think it's true that there is some relation with keeping in touch with online discourse and the enjoyment of the game! i might be a very good example of this-- i quit genshin for an entire 2 years because ive seen so much wrong with the game which was brought to my attention /because/ of online discourse.
after my 2 year break from genshin and the community, my gripes with the game have mellowed down and ive become less aggressive when it comes to things i didnt like. instead, i focused on what i liked, and enjoy it in that way (like exploring, building characters, etc) and the game just feels so much better that way.

    • @onlineresident2174

I deleted all social media except youtube because of this. People from both sides are way too aggressive and defending their point like Hoyo pays them. I still get into heated arguments once in a while but it's decreasing slowly. They were right. It is the damn phone.

    • @zhrzhn
      @zhrzhn 16 дней назад +20

i think the community is primed to be so aggressive and parasocial because of a few things that kind of correlate with each other.
i love the game to bits, but man is the game pretty shallow for the most part. there are so many better options out there for pretty much anything besides the lore (which i’ll get to later), the art and the character designs. narratives, character writing, general storytelling, etc. gacha by itself is already a superficial concept, and the game’s presentation, or rather, lack thereof, of its other aspects make that factor worse in effect, in my opinion. this, i feel is the reason why most people quit the game.
this superficiality reflects in most of the social media content made of this game as well. almost nothing creative or artistic or transformative is ever really made in the community besides the cosplays, lore breakdowns and hoyofair blowing away my expectations every year. take that away, and it’s mostly just slop or obligatory like character guides. there is so much potential to be found within and outside the game, but that’s a topic for another day.
it’s common occurrence that currently active and social media active genshin players often lose out on irl friends they introduced genshin to or the friends that introduced them to genshin, or both, due to reasons i’ve already listed out above. what makes more people lose interest or become jaded of this game even further is when online discourse gets so extreme it becomes overwhelming for most people. this, in my opinion is largely due to how gambling culture, in the pursuit of always wanting more and more and overall loneliness mix together. ironically, in the pursuit of closeness and intimacy the exact opposite happens as they push each other away with more extreme discourse on mostly irrelevant topics in the grand scheme of things. all while simultaneously attaching their happiness to something they loathe. this pushes newcomers away even further, further fueling what i’ll coin as gambler’s loneliness, even further. yes, i am making the age-old argument that genshin players are lonely. it’s cliché, but really, it’s hard to argue its impact (no pun intended).
and as for those who don’t suffer from said gambler’s loneliness, well, they aren’t apart of those heated and extreme discourses in the first place. i mean, why put yourself through hell for company when you’ve already got company right here? but in the first place, it’s hard for a lot of people to form a good connection with people through genshin for how superficial it is (my opinion, of course). and the things that aren’t superficial, they’re hard to get into. which leads me to genshin’s lore, as well as cosplay culture.
the lore community is always best regardless of what piece of media it is about. it creates productive discourse, solving puzzles and problems as a community that is hard to find anywhere else. but unfortunately, most of the very important lore in this game is dug through books you’re never incentivized to read in-game, and etymological references and analysis no casual would dare to even try to dissect. hell, the most important bit of lore in the game is in a book all the way down in enkanomiya. why would a casual player end up reading the book if they’re never told to? the game puts so much lore emphasis in books and etymology as if declining literary rates aren’t a problem. this creates this huge divide between the casual and the intermediate fanbases, as the barrier to entry to understand the lore is frankly very uncertain, scary, and sometimes, downright confusing if you go on with the wrong mindset and with the wrong tools. just look at tiktok and pretty much any other short-form content spreading headcannons and misinformation regarding lore and characters as truth and people just eating all that up.
to put it simply, understanding lore takes effort. cosplay culture also goes in that category too. but i have a feeling that gacha culture has sort of rid many people away from effort that doesn’t tie in with gacha pulls (i’ve personally felt a sliver of this myself) when in reality, effort exerted as a community garners the best engagement and elevates said community to a new level, as stated before with communities of FNAF and gravity falls being more notable examples.
with all this in mind, it’s no wonder the community can easily feel so recycled, tired, toxic, or repetitive.
before i conclude, i’d like to say that it’s completely okay if you enjoy the story even if i say it feels very superficial, that is just my personal opinion and hypothesis as a root for why i think the community feels horrible to be in, as i have observed this sort of phenomenon in other pieces of media before. i’m frankly a lore enjoyer, and that’s why i keep playing the game. you may have your own reasons, and that’s completely fine.
if i were to give any advice on how to enjoy things (i think as we grow older, we kind of forget how to), a real, physical community in reality is key. whether that be for genshin or for something else to make you playing genshin causally on your own fun again, is up to you. it’s your own player experience after all.
if you’ve read this far, i commend you for it. i’m happy somebody took time out of their day to read my batch of words in particular. thank you for reading, here’s to a good day, evening or night ❤❤.

seeing a lot of people wording it like "people who don't engage in discussions about the game enjoy it more" while i think it's more accurate to say that people who look at the media they consume with a critical view might have a different experience with it.
someone who plays for endgame content is gonna be happy as long as strong characters get released and a variety of endgame content is available, while someone who likes exploring the lore and its real world connections has a lot more bases to be disappointed on. one of those is more likely to engage with the community (and thus, discourse) than the other

It can definitely be anything. Different people have different perspectives, it's impossible to pinpoint a general statement about what is right and what is wrong. • @ishzarkklyon9590
      @ishzarkklyon9590 2 дня назад

@noelledefendsquad I'm AR 56 and I engage a lot with the community. The lore and exploration are part of why I play, and I loved Natlan's lore, map and exploration (except the cliffs of Ochkanatlan, those can burn). Meanwhile most of the people I see complaining are either extremely media-active players who joined in like 3.x when Sumeru was released or AR 60s experiencing massive burnout and blaming Natlan for singlehandedly causing it.
I'm not going to sit here and say that my point of view is the only valid one, there are valid criticisms to be made of Genshin such as the skin color issue which was entirely a design decision or the fact that Natlan characters don't work outside Natlan which is based on phlogiston only existing on Natlan, which is also a design choice.
But I have also seen people complain about the grind aspect when they didn't complain until 5.x, or claiming that Natlan story is bad because it's not as grand as Fontaine or Sumeru or because of the power of friendship which is literally everywhere in Genshin, I've seen others say that Mavuika's bike (or Mavuika in general) is a game-breaking issue and should be removed and that Natlan's stakes (where ~2000 die in the war) weren't as high as in Fontaine (where ~35 die), I've seen people claim that around 70% of Natlan's designs and tropes don't fit Natlan (or rather, their opinions of what Natlan should be), I've seen demands to change Mavuika's outfit only for mods that do it to be shunned and criticized because they didn't look that good in 3D...
All in all, I think I can classify those complaints in 4 categories:
      1. Legitimate complaints (i.e. Natlanese are whitewashed, phlogiston mechanics should apply everywhere after 5.3 AQ, powercreep is getting concerning...)
      2. Matters of taste (Natlan AQ wasn't that grand, I didn't feel the fear of the characters, Mavuika/bike design is bad...)
      3. Memetic complaints/copypastas (there are no brown characters in Genshin, Mavuika and her bike ruined my immersion, Natlan stakes weren't high enough because war is war and people die in war but no main characters died...)
      4. Jaded veterans venting out on Natlan (the voice actor issue has gotten too bad [note: it's not MiHoYo's fault], grinding is too time-consuming and not rewarding at all [despite it always having been like that], devs don't listen to the players [idem]...)

    • @ishzarkklyon9590
      @ishzarkklyon9590 2 дня назад +1

I'm also going to add that people aren't acting like that around Genshin alone, but it's becoming a trend to criticize literally everything that doesn't cater to one's taste (which should be category 5: unreasonable whining) and try to "convert" people into your hatred. Much like back in the mainstream metalhead era when people were throwing hate on each other's preferred metal music flavor, but without so much as a flavor you like. People who don't play ToF, don't play WuWa, don't play HSR, play Genshin but deeply hate Genshin and will try their hardest to make you hate it.
The other day, I argued with someone about Mavuika's bike, which he maintained didn't fit in Natlan because it's not suppossed to have modern tech. To which I replied that the devs added modern tech as a stylistic choice, and thus by default it is suppossed to have it. He responded that Natlan is a representation of pre-colonial Africa and pre-columbine America, which I countered by arguing that it's a representation of Africa, America, the Pacific Islands and Oceania after they were colonized, i.e. a mix of modernity and tradition. After which he told me that he wished to see me wither until I don't even have the strength or willpower to hang myself, and that I should slit my throat.
That's the kind of haters you meet on Genshin communities online. After spending time on those communities, I don't hate Genshin, I hate the haters.

@ishzarkklyon9590 1) metalheads hating on other bands bc their music is too soft is not the same as hating something based on actual criticisms

As some who has an even more limited knowledge of Spanish, your Spanish portion of this video was the highlight of these interviews for sure. And because you didn't ask me, I shall also answer your questions... bc I want to! :3
    1) Fave character: Kazuha (who, btw, is not my profile pic)
    2) Fave Archon Quest: Prob Fontaine... but I do have a soft spot for Sumeru bc Nahida is my favorite Archon.
    3) Opinion on Natlan: Superb OST, the map expansion area has been my favorite so far, Mavuika is pretty awesome as a character even tho I'm not crazy about her design. Also, tangentially related to Natlan, I actually really liked Paimon in the main story quest this time around... I felt like her tangible sadness and desperation added more to the atmosphere of the story than just being a floating exposition fairy.
    4) Game on a scale of 1-10: 8.5... is that being too generous? Maybe... but in spite of all of its flaws, I freaking love this game. I haven't stopped playing once since I started in 2022 and I don't intend to until "Genshin II". xD
    5) One feature I'd like: More. Husbandos. PLZ!! Why does ZZZ and Star Rail get all the hot tall male models and Genshin only gets female characters (not that those female characters aren't cool -- I love our Genshin ladies!! -- but the ratio is just so glaringly apparent)!
    6) Interact with Genshin stuff online: Sometimes. I use Twitter, I'm a part of a couple of Discord communities, and have IRL friends who I like to share funny Genshin memes and fanart with.
    7) Fave thing about Raiden: I still think she is meta (for my account at least) and I have to thank her for caring my teams early game as she was my very first 5 star unit. She is one of the few characters that I can reliably depend on to always help me clear content.
I will pose for my close up now, Charolette. 😉 Just kidding.

    Favorite Character: Itto
    Favorite AQ: Sumeru
Thoughts on Natlan: fun to explore, part 4 was breathtaking
    Score: 7
Wanted Feature: like the 1st guy, a way to re-view past events. They could make it in-lore by having Mondstadt be a ballad from Venti/others, Liyue from the Tea Storyteller, Inazuma: Sakura/Ley Line stuff, Sumeru: Nahida accessing Irminusul (that one's a bit of a stretch), Fontaine: A play, Natlan: not sure, but then again we haven't really had a Natlan event yet
Online community: small discord and Reddit (and watching you guys, obviously)
Raiden: her story quests were interesting with her learning more about humanity

    Scaling : Maybe 9 ? I'm enjoying myself
Added feature wish : i guess ill agree with the first player, and the resin overflow stuff too
Discourse interaction : i mean if youtube counts yes, otherwise, no

My favorite character is Kokomi, but I don't have her yet because I just started in April and she hasn't appeared yet.
My currently favorite owned character is Navia, but Noelle was my OG main whom I still use on the other side of the abyss.
My favorite archon quest was Liyue [Yes I'm caught up to Natlan. I enjoyed Sumeru and Fontaine, but I think most people are honeymoon phasing on those regions and don't remember the beginning of the game as fondly as a result.] Liyue had interesting plot twists and I think getting to spend time with Zhongli was amazing. I think he's the archon you got to spend the most time with as friends and I enjoyed it a lot. The irony of helping him set up his own funeral was hilarious. Also, adepti are so cool of a concept and many Liyue characters are super memorable, like Shenhe and her epic cutscenes, and the Jade Chamber too! Ningguang got done dirty.
My opinion on Natlan is a bit mixed. I loved the exploration and colors of the region. Kachina won my heart. Ororon personality is sweet, but I don't like how Citlali yells at him and hits him randomly. The archon quest is alright, but the more we find out about Mavuika the more it ruins it for me. She's too perfect a character and was made just to be simped on. Out of all the archons, she has the least character development, and I don't just mean bc we haven't seen much yet. We've seen glimpses of her past and she just strikes me as Genshin Jesus. She's a "human" who happens to be perfect and wants to sacrifice herself to save the world. All the actual "god" archons are a hot mess, and she's just not relatable as a "human." I also feel like Genshin is afraid to lean into the hot-headed stereotype and Mavuika has the personality of an ice queen. She never loses her cool, even in tense situations and I find it off putting. I also don't like how the futuristic elements of other hoyo games are starting to bleed into Genshin and breaks the fantasy immersion.
As a whole I'd rate Genshin an 8.5/10. It's a game I started playing after getting hospitalized and it has been fun playing while recuperating. I've never played a game this consistently before and even though I'm running out of content [I have 1140 achievements and am mostly finishing up exploration with treasure compasses now], I still get excited to see what new things are coming up. Super psyched for Lantern Rite as this will be my first one.
A feature I'd like to see added; more hydro four stars! Fujin and Amina would be good contenders imo.
I try to avoid online discourse because when politics start bleeding into my entertainment, it sours my experience and ability to enjoy the game. I usually look at guides or content creators who make their own content and don't just jump on whatever trend train everyone else is on.
About Raiden Shogun: she was probably my least favorite archon personality wise. Lowkey wish we had gotten Makoto instead. She's pretty and my favorite color is purple but I don't like that you basically have to play as the puppet that suppressed an entire nation. If her voicelines were nicer then maybe. Also I was broke after Yelan banner and was saving for Kazuha so I skipped her. She has a cool spear, but I won't be spending on weapon banners until I have all the characters I want.

I've been playing since 2.1 I think? Raidens first banner. And I'm still enjoying myself.
I love doing the archon quests and major worldquests have been pretty awesome since Sumeru too. Ochkanatlan was awesome.
I dont think I've ever had burnout, but I'm also not on any social media and I don't play daily. I only logon when I actually feel like playing which is mostly on weekends and on average two to three days during the work week.
I have 100% map exploration since that is what I enjoy most besides quests. I also don't bother with endgame modes anymore. 36 stared once to get the achivement and then just stopped. I do chambers 9 to 11 if I feel like it and dont do chamber 12 or Imaginarium theater.
I don't really get the complaints that there is nothing to do. In my opinion there is a lot to do every patch and when that runs out you can play or do something else. I don't expect a game to keep me entertained 24/7 for the rest of my life and I frankly wouldn't want it to. When the content I enjoy in a patch runs out I take that as a sign to go read a book or something. There is enough to do in this game that when Wuthering Waves came out I noped out pretty soon after discovering that two open world gachas are just too much.

    1. Favourite character for gameplay: Mualani
    Favourite character for vibes: Beidou
    Favourite character for story: Arlecchino
    2. Favourite archon quest: Dainsleif in the Chasm, but I’m only halfway through Sumeru and haven’t done Fontaine yet so that might change (just started playing this past August).
    3. Scale of 1-10, I would rate Genshin a 5 and an 8 simultaneously - I’ll get really involved and intrigued by a story beat, then get stuck immediately afterwards in an endless tedious cutscene or sidequest. Very uneven.
    4. Wanted feature: a much better /easier way of finding uncompleted content / quests / challenges / objectives. The recent changes to treasure compasses are nowhere near enough.
    5. Online discourse: I check youtube to keep up to date with the current discourse, but don’t participate. It’s hard,, though, because all the people complaining about motorcycles right now is insane to me since I’m in the middle of an archon quest where university profs steal everyone’s dreams through the internet. Somehow that’s a top 2 archon quest but a motorcycle breaks immersion?!?
    6. Thoughts on Natlan: I like that it’s so compact and dense (especially compared to Sumeru, which is WAY too spread out). I’m perplexed at how many deep deep deep pits Natlan has just laying around
    7. Thoughts on Raiden: I really like Ei as a character, but I find it weird that the character you pull for on banners is NOT Ei, but is the Raiden Shogun. Who is the robot. I was really disappoimted when I learned that I spent 82 wishes on a freaking tobot.

As an active Genshin player since launch day... no. No, I don't. At least not for the most part.
It's fun when I have a new character to fiddle around with, but after 3-4 days, that high subsides, and it's back to the daily grind, the misery of feeling obligated to waste 10 minutes of mandatory runs through artifact domains, the boredom of dealing with undercooked mingames for 5 more minutes on occasion, and the knowledge that it's not going to get better, because band-aid solutions sell better than permanent improvements.
It would be more fun if there was any amount of skill involved, but Genshin doesn't reward skill, it rewards monotonous optimization, which just relies on luck and persistence, not any modicum of ability. Sorry for being a jaded bastard, but I recognize that the sunken cost fallacy is the main reason I still bother with this game. I'm actively hoping for miHoYo to screw up big time, so I can finally bring myself to delete my account...

Mandatory Runs is sort of the problem It's weird when people create this illusion that you HAVE to engage with certain systems
You don't theres not real Vertical Progression and the complexity comes from you being unorthodox and you knowledge of the system
The optimization stuff is also extremely subjective for every opinion there's a counter point so what Genshin needs is not clear cut
But the game isn't going to morph into an experience you might like especially if it's one that rewards engaging with certain system like Artifacts
Its like if someone said they hate Genshin because it doesn't have PVP they might think it true but it's not a flaw of the game but an issue with how that player engages with Genshin

@@demonking-zm3rs For a f2p like me, daily grind is VERY mandatory. If I take longer breaks, I singificantly lower the odds of getting the characters I want, miss out on time-gated materials, and fall behind on keeping my characters on a level high enough to pass the DPS checks for other rewards. It's an insidious cycle, and I'm stuck in it.

I think Natlan's quest hasn't been bad (there's been some absolutely great moments), but it's been so disconnected from the rest of Teyvat. I understand that it's an isolated nation but usually those kind of nations are behind in technological advances, not massively ahead. And considering that people from other Nations can apparently just visit whenever, why hasn't their technology been brought to other nations? it's so weird to me that Fontaine has been considered the furthest in technological advances according to the lore so far and then we get into Natlan and it's like "Just kidding". I like Natlan, I like the characters, I like the design of the region, I LOVE the movement mechanics implemented into the characters (needed this since 1.1, honestly) but it just doesn't feel like i'm in Teyvat right now. Maybe that's intentional, I don't know. (I also have to admit, having sporadic voice acting is pulling me out of it as well)
Also if this massive world shattering war is going on, where the fall of Natlan could lead to the fall of Teyvat, then why exactly has no one been talking about it? I swear people of the world were more concerned about the flooding of Fontaine, which was region specific, rather then an unbeatable war against the abyss.

In the flower feather clan quest, they show that. Not only does switching EVERYDAY life to tech (flying with tech instead of saurians, etc) actively erase their culture and identity of the tribes as well as their relationship with the saurians, mass training everyone to properly control this tech is a big issue. Since there's no prior generations to learn from, there are many issues unknown to them which can go wrong, and, in war, there isn't really space for mistakes. Fontaine IS the most technologically advanced, Natlan is just also advanced in different ways. Chasca's flying gun isn't even a flying gun. It's just an oversized gun she makes fly using anemo and controls with her reins. Only Mavuika's bike and Kinich's pixels can be argued against, and the bike is shown to have had its blueprints found by Mavuika and Xilonen made many adjustments. A bike being for a dragon doesn't seem so far fetched now as, of course we've known they have advanced tech, but "dragon" is a very wide title and applies to many. Och Kan, for example, was about human sized.
Also, in Citlali's story quest, that issue is also tackled. A man from Fontaine is upset because the Masters Of The Night Wind invented something before him so he couldn't take credit, and his thoughts were basically, "How is this nation even capable of innovation? This backwards place shouldn't have been able to create something like this in the first place!" which is a common misconception about tribal areas in real life as well in addition to poorer countries.
As for why many others aren't worried, no idea. Maybe a whole nation being flooded will have impact on other nations. Natlan is kinda separated by a sea anyways so even if it went to the dumps, the abyss stuff stays there. Don't think foreigners want to get involved in a constant abyss fight anyways. Capitano helping shows that they can CHOOSE to, they just don't want to.

Genshin isn't bad, but it's definitely flawed. While some stories are interesting, they are also repeating. You go in looking for your sibling, you help the nation, and then you don't have any clues from the Archon. I think the most interesting part is the Fatui part. And before someone says something, I've been playing before Inazuma came out. I believe it around the time Barbara and Jean had their skin. So far, Sumeru and Fontaine have been the most interesting to me, and I think a lot of people agree it is. Although I do wish we could go back to the Inazuma Traveler where they were most expressive more annoyed.
But mostly, it's not bad but deeply flawed, but I feel like the people constantly call Genshin the best game refuse to acknowledge its flaws

Hoyoverse definitely needs to do better, especially when it comes to using other cultures, especially when China would be just as upset if America or any other country misused theirs

if only there were other quests besides Archon Quests, something like idk... world quests?? Or maybe if Genshin added more flagship events besides the ones that come out every version?

@rabitahmazumder2143 I know there's other quests and I play those too but I'm mainly talking on the ones that's usually promoted aka the Archon Quest. Granted I also wished they put in a function to where it helps unlock certain world quests that's locked by Daily Commissions

If I recall right, the quest where you actually meet with your sibling is after the Inazuma quest, where your goal changes from finding your sibling to traveling the world and finding the hidden truth alluded to by your sibling. That's why the traveller chilled out after that and isn't as focused on the sibling anymore, but on uncovering the truth of the world so that he can understand why the sibling sided with the abyss order.

Dont mind me but im gonna answer the questions as well just to see something.
    1. Fav chara(s): Kaveh, Zhongli, Barbara, Scara, Wrio, Xingqiu, Columbina
    2. Fav AQ: Fontaine bc i rejoined around summer event in sumeru and started playing more regularly when they released Fontaine.
    3. Opinion on Natlan: the AQ was good(not bad not great, just good enough), the exploration not so much bc i hate to switch to those saurians whenever i have to climb/swim/fly but if i dont i better get the charas which i don't like much design wise outside maybe Mualani and Kinich(still wishing they got darker skin tho)
    4. Rate genshin 1-10: solid 6(bc i like number 6 and its still past half the point so i like some and dont like some)
    5. Hoping for added feature: i really want them to add easier system to get artifacts that I want... I hate farming them over and over and over so I just gave up in order to preserve my mental health
    6. Engaging in online discourse: once in a while(bc I love reading other people's opinions to form mine in the first place)
    7. Raiden Shogun: she's cool- tho I love her son more

I'm going to answer these questions myself, it'll just be my opinion.
    1. Favorite character... Right now, probably Furina. I mean, self explanataory honestly. Although Neuvillette, Alhaitham, and Klee also rank fairly high up.
    2. Favorite AQ? I know a lot of people said it, but Fontaine. I think Sumeru was also really well done, but if I had to chose, definitely Fontaine. I just hope Natlan drops more lore bombs because we are quite literally almost at the final nation and the game still kind of refuses to give us some more details + tons of other map releases, will we even be finished by then?
    3. My opinion on Natlan. for the most part, positive. I enjoy it a lot, I think it's definitely up there with the other nations, and other characters I initially didn't care much for, grew on me, such as Chasca.
4.. I'd say... 8.5 I've had fun, I have had more fun in fontaine as that was the only region I got to 100% exploration (every other one was like 60-80%, Havent touched chenyu or natlan, mostly because I don't have as much time anymore and I'd like to play other games. Not because I don't want to or dont find them fun.)
    5. Resin bank, increased resin and recharge rate, and new forms of endgame content that isn't just "Lets buff max hp to enemies". Because at that point, you're just making it a unbeliavable dps check that might be dependant on character constellations, even as someone with good builds overall. Tough to balance and make interesting at the same time, and accessable for most players with decently invested accounts. I don't play much open world like genshin, so I don't know how they would do that.
    6. I UNFORTUNATELY do interact with the discourse. Especially on twitter. Ew. I hate the discorse there. A lot of people are hypocritical when coming to representation and end up making designs that are uninformed because they believe they know the best decisions, other people just care way too much. Me personally, I don't care much for fictional characters on a screen. Do I agree that some characters should have different designs like Chasca or Ororon? Yes. Do I agree that they should have made more dark skinned characters? Yes. Do I agree that they should expand the variety for character models besides npcs? Yes! There is a lot of valid criticism across the game that I agree with, but I'm not going to harass artists or other people simply for enjoying the game and get likes on twitter because "I fixed your character" with a black edit or anything along the lines of that. I just dont agree with "raceswapping" as a whole... If it's wrong for one side, it's wrong for the other. And to me the whole, made out of love and made out of hate argument makes no sense. Also, those "boycotters" really tryna be talking when they still give money to other hoyo games and still play the game LMAO 😭 That's not how a effective boycott works... Going "f2p only" has not hurt hoyo at all. It's all the same company making different games profiting off of us... In general, I don't like the hoyo community, star rail players feel enttitled and shill the game too much not recognizing problems, genshin players are stupid, etc etc.
    7. I like the shogun, she has good lore and is a genuinely interesting character who will play an important role into the story later. As an Archon, even if she was my least favorite, I Still liked her... Will I ever pull for her? No... I won't. But, sometimes is good to just admire a character for what they bring to the table. I know she is a controversial character with how people view her, but I personally believe that she acted in the best faith for her nation. I mean, she did see what happened if a nation strides too far... She just wanted to prevent that with what she thought was right and wouldnt trigger the heavenly principles.
Again! My opinion, if you disagree, that's completely fine. I'm not stopping you. The community still has amazing talent and I wish people could just enjoy the game for the positive things, all while providing real valid criticism that can improve the game. Criticism is necessary for something to improve.

Depends on who you ask, if you ask those who are still playing, they'll say they like it. If you don't like it, you'd probably have a negative comment on it. And it ranges from less male characters, natlan story feels kinda slow, or mavuika's mechanic was just not worth it. Me personally, i think genshin is still great, i wish we get to sneznyiah, but the devs are literally stalling us at this point. Hoyo better at least promise a sub region is going to be worth it to even have it's own chapter otherwise it's a major turn off, especially the upcoming characters are just not worth it.
Not my concern really since there are alternatives now with wuwa, ananta and more to take genshin's place.
