That is a pretty nice deck! I wanted to build this deck for a while now but could not decide which zombies I wanted to play. You helped me out a lot. Keep up the great work my dude!
@@vex_mtg It did! So much fun. A little tip from me as I noticed it in the last couple games: Strionic resonator and rings of brighthearth are also good cards in the deck because you just copy his to abilitys for just 2 generic each time.
I'M building a scarab God deck, since I got wilhelt precon, that commander is cool has some combos but I like this God I would like to see an updating scarab God deck with the newest cards.
One issue, shepherd of rot. While I think its a great card, you explained it as per opponent life loss. The card specifies “each player”. So players have it be known that this card will deal damage directly to you. I have a scarab god deck that I am upgrading but this deck is top of the line imo. Nice work
@Jordan Crass, good catch, yeah it does damage to everyone. I still like the card because it can sit there and threaten to take people out at any time (even yourself).
Hi @Michael Falzon, neat. Yeah, this is what I call the Double Masters rabbit hole, there's so many powerful legends to build decks around, I can't stop building them!
@@vex_mtg haha I see - I'm actually only just starting commander and even paper Magic! I've only really played digitally. I forgot to share but this is my current wip build if you're interested to see: archidekt.com/decks/759218#Dreadhordes_of_the_Scarab_God. Thanks again for the deck tech
@Michael Falzon, glad to have you on board with paper Magic. Your deck looks great! That's why I love Commander so much because you can customize to your liking. Tell me how your games goes.
Hi @United Bacons, thanks for checking out my video. Hopefully you can acquire the cards you need over time, you can usually skip the expensive mana base and the tutors.
Hi @Oddvert, I use the Dragon Shield Classic Blacks - www.amazon.com/Dragon-Shield-Protective-Sleeves-Count/dp/B000UPL914 and KMC Perfect Fit - www.amazon.com/Perfect-Barrier-Sleeves-Piece-Clear/dp/B01JKNVADS/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=kmc+perfect+fit&qid=1608993841&sr=8-8
Hi @Shango Games, I think The Scarab God is really powerful and can be pushed to an 8-ish power level while still being casual -- This is the power level that was used on Game Knights. The deck I'm showing is probably more of a 7 power level as it doesn't have all of the most powerful cards in it, but is still competitive. You can probably push to a 9 with cEDH type cards. I hope that answers your question.
Hi @Gabriel Salles Beltrão, thanks for checking out my video. I considered that card, but I decided to cut it because it would take on average 2 zombies to make up the cost of that card and at the point where I can cast that card, I would rather invest mana in The Scarab God and his activations or other cards that would impact the board better.
Hi @ChrisJMR, he was in the original list before cuts. I wanted to concentrate on the Zombie tribal nature of the deck. Also, I wanted to lean more on The Scarab God's ability to resurrect creatures. Thanks for stopping by!
@Yav Ivanov, the zombie cards have spiked recently because of the new Wilhelt deck. You can always click on the decklist to see how much it costs, currently $800.
nice deck but i would call it a cEDH more then causal deck....things got 50$ cards and up bro..lol ... rift...among others..im making this deck but a little cheaper one .. i got about 75-80 % of the cards u showed... gave me some ideas but some are just wwwWWAAAYY to much for me to spend on a deck i might play once every couple of months..
@Mosk8ers420, I wouldn't go that far to call this a cEDH deck, but is does have powerful cards in it. Zombies is a popular tribe and there are always budget options to go with.
Dude.... This is just a bad deck. you're milling yourself constantly, dealing damage to yourself constantly, and you're misplaying all of the time. Milling works great for the creatures but you're also milling your win conditions away with your artifacts and enchantments too.

Thanks @KartenWelt, hope your deck turns exactly the way you want it!

Unfortunately, I've moved on from The Scarab Gob, but the deck is still solid, I think you could take my Wilhelt deck as a shell and upgrade that.

Well, if you use Exquisite Blood with that, it's a good combo, but the card I mentioned is quite expensive, so no haha
Nice one Vex! Once again another deck I'm building haha, looking forward to having this one completed on my end

Nice video, I’m building a scarab god deck and this helped, unfortunately I can’t afford a lot of the cards.
Hi @United Bacons, thanks for checking out my video. Hopefully you can acquire the cards you need over time, you can usually skip the expensive mana base and the tutors.
Good video! Have you considered Gempalm Polluter? Cycling effect seems fantastic here.
Hi @Daniel, I didn't consider Gempalm Polluter. It does seem to have a really cool effect and can fit in the deck really well.
I think you said urborg isn’t a swamp, but it is, per the ability.
Hi, love the deck, which card sleeves & inner sleeve brands do you use?

@@vex_mtg yes, i'll building a Scarab deck and probally i'll want to define the max power level 8, i aggre with you say. thankss
How many lands did you use/ or recommend?
I believe 38+ land is good for the deck since the commander is also a mana sink.
why not Rooftop Storm? Nice deck btw.

Any reason you don’t have mikaeus?

Question, why do you get the expedition map straight to your hand off the scry?
Hmmm, I don't know.
So basically all the best and most expensive zombie cards in a deck. Does it cost 2000$ or less?
@Yav Ivanov, the zombie cards have spiked recently because of the new Wilhelt deck. You can always click on the decklist to see how much it costs, currently $800.
@@vex_mtg yeah, they have. I guess I will have to wait an year or so, to upgrade my Wilhelt deck

Not a cedh deck 50$ cards don't make a deck cedh it's not running any cedh combos no turn 3-4win cons good fun deck
Play scarab god it's a casual commander.
This almost looks like JLKs scarab god from game knights, makes me wonder how much of this deck was just net decked and ripped from that list.
Way too casual but a fun idea.
Dude.... This is just a bad deck. you're milling yourself constantly, dealing damage to yourself constantly, and you're misplaying all of the time. Milling works great for the creatures but you're also milling your win conditions away with your artifacts and enchantments too.
Let's maybe not take 2 minutes to read a card that takes 7 seconds to read?
Fuck.
