    TY for posting this information. I'm absolutely in tears rn. Everything described here is/was something I've experienced. For DECADES! Diagnosed with GERD, obesity, depression, etc. Lab tests, diagnostic imaging, etc. I made sure to share this with my GI nurse practitioner bc this video puts in words all the things I could not. ❤

    I feel l found a miracle in this lady! Reddit has a group where people vent and trade suggestions . YES, I have read that endoscopy has caused harm in various ways...going for ANY medical procedure has its chances . How could we even prove it? Sadly, l'm living on very low income...TG I have Medicaid. My greatest wish is to see a functional medicine doc, but that is not reality for me. I love my RUclips Army. They've taught me so, so much. Another thing is: what is the function of your PCP? They do NOTHING, only the barest of a physical, only hand out referrals. "What is this world coming to!?", said everyone's Grandmother, Mother, and now..ME!😊 Be well, friend!

    I thought I was both crazy and dying but when I threw up this morning I started looking for answers on my own and found your channel. I was never ever told about any of these rogue symptoms of my hiatal hernia. While I'm frustrated that doctors withhold so much info I don't feel helpless, crazy or like I'm dying anymore. Thank you so much!!

    I have never felt so heard. I got an endoscopy done due to some intestinal issues and learned I had a hiatal hernia. What’s been the hardest thing for me to understand is why did I start feeling all these symptoms after the procedure? I’m not sure how long I had this hernia for. At most I would get some acid reflux or heartburn. It was never anything serious. I told my Gastro doctor about my additional problems and she told me that I should talk to my general doctor because my symptoms weren’t associated with my hernia. I get the jumping heartbeat when bending over, the heavy pressure in my chest, the air hunger, and anxiety. All of it. It’s so scary. I’ve only been dealing with these new symptoms since September and it has completely changed my way of life. The biggest thing I want to know is can an endoscopy upset a hernia and cause all these symptoms that weren’t present before?

      @@WolfieWoofWoofMeowWhat l go through w down 10 men...l kid you NOT!!! Just got results back that found its NOT my hiatal hernia ( literally non stop burping, plus) but HEART DOC found a REAL BUNCH OF SCARY STUFF by accident. I'm so worn out, sick n DISGUSTED by these effin' "doctors", l am at a loss at how to start , as l w now need A LOT more than gastroenterologist!!!! Not looking forward. Guess what, sorry if l sound bitter but...if you only knew.
      I wish ALL OF US health n brains enough to appreciate it!

    Looking forward to the next video. I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia and prescribed omeprazol for the rest of my life. I was instructed to also change my diet, which makes sense but even then I still get acid reflux. I now have heart palpitations and was diagnosed with pvc. So now I am prescribed a med for that as well. Hoping I can find answers to a better treatment plan, perhaps. Anyway thank you

    Good morning and god bless. In my teens, i was diagnosed with gastritis. Couldnt eat, felt full after one bite, would wake me up with extreme pain. As years went by conditions greatly improved. I am now 41 years oldz and for the past 22-23 years ive had no major issues aside from occasional abdominal pain/gas primarily at night after eating. Passing gas or make a bowel movement would help. This past march, i experience a life changing event. Was taking a hot shower and experienced a dull yet burning sensation in the middle of my chest. Immediately became extremely exhausted and couldn't finish my shower. Then came the numbness and tingling and shortness of breath with lightheadedness. Could barely move. Got to the ER and everything checked out normal. Lost 10 pounds in 2 months. Never had vomit or anything. Been to Specialties to Specialties and no one can pin point the issue. I would love to talk with you.

    Hello Mrs. Petersen,
    Thank you for your great videos. I live in Germany. Unfortunately I have had problems with my stomach for years. A small hiatal hernia was found. The gastroenterologist said that the hernia does not cause any discomfort. Elevated levels of the lower esophageal sphincter were found on manometry. I should take PPis. I'm really bad and my quality of life is very limited.
    Can you recommend me something?
    Greetings Jessica

    Really curious lately. After symptoms of a hiatus hernia for 7 years but doctors ignoring my symptoms because 'i'm slim' 🙄 found out on endoscopy i have a sliding hernia of 2 cm. The interesting thing is i had been diagnosed with hyperadregnic POTS over this time. All started together. Now, I'm questioning the connection. It's so bizarre.

    How can one manually correct a fixed hernia, with the stomach going through the diaphragm into the esophagus, not protruding sideway. I was told mine is about 2cm and I do get a few symptoms, mainly tension where i feel tense in the mid section, full for a lot longer and not hungry, I did have palpitations regularly but its a lot less now. When i do have symptoms it comes with a cough.

    • @DrVikkiPetersen
      @DrVikkiPetersen  Год назад

      Manual reduction of the spasm is only successful when the root cause of the gut inflammation is dealt with. The tension you're feeling, plus lack of appetite and feeling full is not normal and is indicative of a malfunctioning GI tract. We do telemedicine across the country so would be delighted to help. Please consider contacting us at 727-335-0400 for a consultation.

  • @billbimson2408

    I am suffering from worsening angina and occasional ectopics. Each night I setup a trailcam to record hedgehogs and I have to put the time and date in the camera each time while it is on a stand which is very low on the ground. This stooping brings on my angina within 20 seconds each time. Yesterday I had the same thing happen while connecting a foot pump to my tyres for inflation. I really think this could be the answer rather than microvascular angina as I have been told by a cardiologist. Having said that, 120mg of Isosorbide mononitrate reduces the symptoms as does GTN spray, so I am not clear on this. I will look into this further.

    This is amazing. I've been speculating this for a while based on my symptoms. I've found that ibuprofen can help temporarily relieve my symptoms. Which makes sense, if the problem is inflammation. I've been diagnosed with sporadic pvcs, pacs, and ventricular tachycardia. I've been to the ER for this 4 times over the last ten years.

      Hi - so it turned out that I didn’t have a hiatal hernia. After having an endoscopy they discovered I had very bad stomach inflammation from stress and diet. It took a few months, but after carefully watching my diet and using PPI’s (which I was against, but I was desperate) I finally healed. I think getting a clear diagnosis from a dr is very important. I hope that you heal

    • @marieletourneau1111
      @marieletourneau1111 3 месяца назад

      of course! So I got a recommendation for this book “The Gastric Healing Book” by LG cappellan - I admit to not following it exactly all the time, but making consistent choices and changes in diet helped me heal. This won’t sound appetizing, but I started juicing cabbage every morning and drinking it on an empty stomach. Also celery juice. Google cabbage juice and stomach issues. There’s a lot of science behind it. Once I felt better, I pretty much went back to eating things that I temporarily gave up. Coffee is a no-no until you’re better. Eat mild foods, stay away from acidic and greasy or fried stuff.

    I can't run anymore. I can't do anything physical without feeling a spasm in my stomach and then the heart palpitations start, sometimes I slap my belly, repeatedly, to pass gas, and they will stop. I've been an ass life. I had a full cardiac work up last year, and they said everything was fine, including an echo stress test

    I have experienced heart palpitations bloating fast heart rate slow heart rate afib anxiety acid reflux and many other symptoms , I have been seeing a cardiologist with no diagnosis , I have high blood pressure so I'm on 50 mg of metoprolol 2 times daily , I have been to the gastronologist for colonoscopy that was normal endoscopy that was normal and was prescribed famotidine/ Pepsid which made everything worse , When I took the Pepsid it seemed to trigger more heart palpitations so I stopped taking it I've been drinking apple cider vinegar twice daily to keep the acid down and that seems to help me out a little when you said people feel like they lost their lives that's exactly how I feel eating is torment because I never know whats going to trigger a palpitation or bloating this came on so suddenly 5 years ago and I think my vegas nerve plays a big part in all this . I’ve been having left abdominal tension under my ribs and anxiety for 4 years . Chiropractor felt a lot of tension around a hiatus hernia area and a strong aortic pulse .4 years ago was cleared medically but the pseudo tightness, no pain and. No heart burn as been so strange . I also feel like my stress hormones go sky high when I start chewing.. the tension goes down to my pelvic area and mid back .
    It’s all Around the lower diaphragm area .. left side and my right side is soo free and relaxed . I can even feel it in upper glute . My ekg was ruled out as fine and ultrasound for epi gastric showed nothing .. so no my chiropractor said to do a few more visits before a barium x ray .
    All these symptoms started when I started working at a desk job …
    Chronic upper ab tension for 4 years … 🫣🫣🫣
