As inspiring as it is uplifting for a person of color to see this film. For so long black bodies have been left out of the dialogue of western art. Artists like Claudette Johnson are not only broadening the dialogue they are changing the face of art history one painting at a time! I’ve had to wait until the age of 75 to experience something this powerful. It is a deeply emotional experience!
