Family just looks out for the money income. But not your happiness. I’m planning on getting a bachelors degree on fine arts and make a name for myself ( I don’t plan on cutting ties with my family ) I just plan on doing my own thing. I’m sure it’ll all go well. I’ve been drawing since I was 6 or 7 I don’t remember so I’ve got at least a good 10 years of practice under my belt.
Christian William in the past 6 months a lot has changed and I’ll still be making art but I’ll also be skipping art school and go straight to college for graphic design. Hopefully I land a job the doesn’t hurt my artistic lifestyle. I’m nothing fancy but I do find drawing really fun. Thanks for reminding me of where I was 6 months ago.
Good natured? He's not so pure. He is selling horseshit for high price, because some critics gave him a green light. Ideas are as systemic and institutionalized as in the Impressionist's day. Critics and galleries are the gate keepers to discussions of idea. They tell rich people what to buy and build collections to increase their value. This clown is playing the game and using race politics as a subject. The person who made the video is marketing an idea too. We are living in a post Warhol dystopian nightmare of materialism, that is a total falsehood. This is beyond art. It is disgusting. So no, the man is no lamb. He is liar and a player.
Critics of art are normally failed artist who are very bitter. I've seen worst art to that of Madsaki that got sold for millions. Madsaki art is no worst than Georges Braque. ..Basquiat..Leger.. Twombly..Picasso..Francis Bacon..Jasper Johns. @ #DavidHenson
@@chopin65 lmao these millionaires build up these horrible artists ,create artificial demand and value for their work. you either get disgusted by the system and walk out like what Lucien smith did or you just ride the wave, make big bucks and dont give a fuck.
It's crazy the love people starting to get for just doing themselves now. The internet lets you know there's other people in the world as out there as you are
If you dropped out of art school because they didn’t let you express yourself then you totally didn’t get art school not the other way around. Art schools teach you the basics and the rules. You don’t go to Driving School or Cooking School to start stunt driving or cooking using a blow torch for a beginner. You learn the rules and then when you get them down, that’s when you start breaking them because you know what works.
Richard Hannay what he’s doing does work. Those analogies don’t work for a subject like art that is completely subjective. He’s amazing all by himself.
that an interesting way to see it. But yet, many artists like this guy then to just go straight to exploring their own style without learning the basics, and with art, it works because of how subjective it is.
Art schools teach the rules, then they are very bad at teaching, cuz I didn't learn shit from them I learnt more from online artists like sycra, sinix to name a few.
Agreed.....Art with Our own fingerprint or skill is The Beauty....If we can draw close to Perfection or Imperfection is Beautiful, I’ve never been able to Produce anything close to Perfection and I’ve tried....it always have my style....Excellent video My Brother and Thanks for this Upload
Very cool art style. I hate being suggested a bunch of hyperrealistic portraits or celebrities or shit on Instagram instead of interesting things like this. Perfect is definitely boring.
Historically speaking, art is indeed needed technical aesthetic. In modern times art is more about expressing ourselves. If an art teacher only based art through what they think is technically correct and should be, then they are not artist..... they are just paid teacher.
respect to this man for doing what is in his heart. this is probably the product of a mindset that says' i don't give a f--k if it sells or not!'. probably.
I like the way you say New Jersey classic also I've been debating with the definition of art is and people that are critics I'm not sure they know artist know but maybe the critics don't. I never thought I art was about painting what everybody else always wanted you to do, I always thought it was your interpretation of something you create.
@@thomasrainbow plus this guy is experienced, he could paint like that since he has the skill, but he developed his own style. Which is what are also looking for now.
try to apply that logic to engineering, language or music... there are patterns, heuristics and conventions built up over time because they are useful and efficient. this applies to art too.
@@gjlgjl art is subjective, not everyone sees it how it was intended to be seen, sure there are techniques built up but you don't have to use them then painting, that's why abstract art is a thing
This guy is my hero !! ART should be unique!!! Perfect art oftentimes boring, unless there is uniqeness in it, for example the ethereal Mona lisa. I mean look at Vincent Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Dali etc. The enigmatic brushstrokes and especially subjects are key points that made it unique and doesn't copy what exactly the naked eyes perceived through and through
So Velasquez is boring ? Caravaggio is boring ? Bougereau is boring ? Just another artist knocking the ability to replicate what nature has already perfected. Keep splodgin' y'all but one day you'll look back and think, "Will what I'ved done as art stand the test of time ?"
I love your take on historic art pieces! There are many pieces that are like famous and historical are boring straight up I feel the same way man, I'm a terrible painter but I love the way it looks, and I absolutely love your work, it is very inspirational!
Watching this video I instantly started liking this guy just by listening to him for few minutes ! It’s because most Japanese people are genuine, and that makes them so damn cool.
if a painting is perfect then the only thing we know about the artist is that they are a perfectionist....really perfect realistic art has no soul most of the time.......same with guitar soloing/playing....we study our scales and arpeggios but then we break some rules and we reveal our soul....i love to paint something realistic....but bending perspective or letting your brush/whatever become a part of you and show some brush strokes and the painting has life....like a van gosh....his paintings move while you stand in front of them....his paintings reveal him...i cut my ear off...this will make a great self portrait? ANYWAY....LOVE YOUR WORK....
Look at van gogh he had no appreciation in he's time period , art is freedom of expression and inventiveness . Realism is boring but to create something original and unique is awesome it explains picasso who painted realism to exploring styles , why follow an 800 year tradition trying to paint a Mona Lisa realism paintings .... yes there very well done but there's an element of boring in it , many artists have dropped out of art school because there locked into one way of thinking it's like a fish in a fish bowl ,,, be a fish in the ocean (endless freedoms) how far can your creativity take you ,, what defines you

Murakami and Joe Kaws are easily my favorite artists
I agree. Duplicating something exactly is boring.
I used to try to do photo realism cause I thought that meant that I was a good artist, but I just found it boring eventually.
I would find that fun
Not to me skills mean you're serious in any field
I love this man
