- in this video we dig out a back yard so the customer could have a place to put a playset for there children. we also install a small paver patio and some river stone.
Yes I know.... I should have attached a hose to my saw. but if I got the face of the pavers wet I would not have been able to sweep in my joint sand that day.
Mini Ex's are fun to operate. I have a JD 17G. Love it! Totally worth hiring the guy with the bigger machine to get rid of the soil. Nice work. Looks Great!
maybe next purchase would be dump truck i realize they ain't cheap ! doing good keep building your business and the channel good luck stay safe
I just got my self a good dump tailor!
Nice safety footware
Nice job man as always.. maybe at the end of the job do a walk around explaining what you did and how you did it and how you feel it turned out and what the customer thought of everything, people like to hear that. Great job tho keep up the good work 👍🏻
Thanks for the idea!
Who was the guy you hired
What do you find the best way is to bid a job when you were just starting out ? Just hourly ? And what did you charge per hour for just your skid steer ?
I’m just starting out with my own skid steer and dump trailer . I always seem to undercharge . Lol
$100 an hour. or if you know you can get the job done in 8 hours $1000 a day + material. some times you can't do that, but on average this is what I am charging. I wasted years charging $300 a day and never making money.

Thanks for the reply . Yeah around $100 an hour is what I thought I should be charging . I’m in Canada so with our dollar maybe I should even be charging more. . The last job I did I quoted $75 an hour and it raised eyebrows when the customer first asked my rate. I could tell the customer thought that was steep . I had to explain what a machine can accomplish in a few hours vs a man with a shovel or or even 10 men .
In the end, the customer was happy, but I really didn’t make that much money . Lol
I struggle with just quoting a price and owning it .
I have many years experience running equip .. but the business end of it is all new to me . Learning as I go .
Love your videos .. and thanks again for the reply
I understand that, it took me a while as well. If you have the confidents behind your number and your ability's to get it done, people will trust you to do the job.
good luck with your business, hope 2021 is a good year for you.
I have the exact same hat 😂 have you tried the Kubota SVL 65 before?
nice! I have but, but I prefer asv and bobcat over Kubota. Just my personal preference though.
Trying to decide what bucket to get for my e20. 18” or 24”. Any thoughts?
my thought would be the 18" however I have everything from a 6"-36" and get use out of every one of them.
How satisfied are you with the e20 for landscaping? I'm considering this or the cat 301.7
Cat 302 and under are built by wacker neuson, go with the bobcat at least e26 size. E20 Is to small
@@rontopping2048 thanks, I have looked at the e26 and that is definitely a nice machine I've considered.
Why didnt u use a 900 mud bucket from the start. Would have halved the time taken.
I did not have one at the time.
3 dump trucks equal 60 yards? Must’ve been quad axle truck.
It was
Driver told me he was taking 20 yards out each time
