I haven't caught all your reviews, but this by far is my favorite. Getting better and more creative with the videos - keep it up! Mega-kudos for the bone gag. As for the doggos, I definitely prefer Jawliet over Claude if only for the head sculpt. I am not deducting points for articulation as both have the same features and limiting the articulation for either is a choice. I also prefer this mold to that of Roarmeo and Boney. Both of those look fantastic as dogs, but I find the transformation more fiddly and the hip joint frustrating - I can't tell you how often those legs pop off while trying to transform the dogs. I also don't really get the blade extensions. I think they look cool on the combined mode, but just a bit weird in dog mode. Speaking of combined mode I kinda love the dino. Definitely could use more articulation in the legs, but the whole thing is a mechanical nightmare. That head with its predator-jaw... it's as much alien beast as theropod.

Yeah, the bone thing was something I had a note to do, and initially forgot to film it; that was literally the last thing I shot & edited into this video... which was a good thing since (at least in relation to 2001 Space Odyssey) that's the central theme of "evolution". Massive Attacka is better than I thought it might be; I agree, it would've been nice to have more/easier articulation. 52Toys has a pretty good track record for doing unique stuff, and they definitely have a one of a kind monster/dino/whatever with its Predator butt-mouth. 😁
Great video as always. I like the monkey combiner more. It feels more sturdy than this one and you can get it into cool poses, the dog combiner is just a fiddly mess in the shape of a t-rex.
Thanks! Yeah, I understand that point of view. It's like the difference between, say, IceQube and Rusty Piece. If someone wants something more like a desk toy that doesn't require a lot of "involvement", a fairly basic fig is probably preferable. Or if you want more of a challenge, get a Rusty Piece (but clear your calendar if you're going to transform it).
Another great review, I can only imagine the hijinks these guys get into. Now to order them all at once and ship them in to add them to the collection.

The combiner monkeys have some pretty interesting & unique features; wasn’t a set that interested me at full price, but if I can find a deal I might just go for it. Hope you get your doggos to complete the set soon! 😎
@@Jim-James-Jimbo Didn't know that, but it doesn't surprise me: 52Toys is pretty darn consistent about designing their stuff with interchangeable parts. I saw online somewhere that some dude had bought a bunch of combiner monkeys and somehow mangled their limbs together to make a giant centipede. Pretty cool how creative you can get with figs like that one, AMTS, etc!
Did you have any issues with the left leg not transforming correctly. Mine seems to not want to fold up properly like the right one does. It looks like it supposed to but doesn't. I tried messing with the screws and nothing. Something is off because it will not fit properly into the box display.
Ugh… sorry to hear that. I can’t say that I’ve had any issues with either my Clawde or Jawliet; I have seen a couple people complain about the torso ratchet, but not the specific issue you have. My best suggestion is, check and make sure you have all the connecting pegs completely secured & both sides look identical when they’re folded up. I’ve found this is one that takes some serious scrunching when it’s transformed. If this doesn’t help, hope you’re able to find a resolution.
@@XMattingly Thanks for the reply. It is looking like it could be a defect. Looking images and even the instructions show the left folding up just like the right leg. Even the little red flap is shaped to sit flush against the leg and it doesn't. Went ahead and requested a replacement. Solid figure over all, did have a very tight torso ratchet too. Was impressed with the plastic quality.
@@trippihollow9437 Huh. I’m sorry to hear that; yeah, that leg flap would be a telltale cue: if it can’t close flush with the back of the leg, it ain’t assembled right. I hope you get a replacement with minimal hassle. Unfortunate defect aside, it really is a good figure. I agree about the plastic; I have no evidence of this, but for the dogs it _feels_ a little higher quality than most other Beastboxes.
@@XMattingly I just got my replacement in the mail today. It was 100 percent a defect. Left leg on the new copy folds the way it is supposed to. Only issue is the waist was super tight, but loosening the screw fixed that. I love the fact that they use actual screws for the joints.

That's definitely a nice thing about these things being made with a lot of standardized parts like screws -- easy to make adjustments or take apart if needed. 👍 May I ask where you bought yours from? Curious, because I have one that came out of the box with a broken part; I bought it from one of 52Toys' stores and they gave me a refund almost _immediately._ 😳
the dogs are probably myt least favorite beast box out all the ones i got, my favorite right now either has to be iron heart and loyal heart or floyd, or maybe the bunny rabbit dio, i recently saw they are releasing a new fish, and it looks really interesting, so if i can get my hands on the new fish, they might become my new favorite
Haha, most people would probably say the jungle cats mold. 😁 I get where you're coming from; there are a number of figures that I don't care for that other people absolutely love. If by "new fish" you mean the 4cm goldfish prototypes they recently showed off or the angler fish repaint, yeah definitely - both of those are looking really good. 😎👍
