It may seem crazy but my GR5 2017 (or Honor 6X) has actually survived twice from accidental drops to the pool and the beach. Works like a charm!

I wonder if it worked after a while. My Honor 5X worked fine at first after accidentally being in water, but after a couple hours it stopped and died never to work again.
Maybe the water was somewhere not as fatal, but later moved somewhere where it's fatal, like the Motherboard. I own both the Honor 6x, and the J2 prime, They fell in water, both survived, and in perfect condition until now. It had some droplets in it for a month, The J2 Prime's speaker didn't work properly, so did the camera, but later fixed itself. Technology is great.

Don't throw it away and DON'T OPEN IT AFTER ITS WET (other wise it will stop working and get burnt) just take it out in the sunlight and let it dry for 24-48 hours and it should work just fine
Mine was dropped in THE toilette and almost instantly started malfunctioning and had to be put in rice for about 2 days
I was swimming in the sea and my 6x fell ... When i took it out i found it turned off ... Until this day. 😂

Prathamesh Mayekar yes what happened after 24 hours that's the point.water doesn't kill phone instantly.phones becomes dead after when water settles on components.

I have this phone and i really like it! I use it for most of my videos but it struggles in dark light. Dropped it recently and cracked the screen. Advise a case for it as it seemed to crack quite easily?
Some on wil think honor is to bad. But this is so powerful and water proof and have more feachers

I also practical that on my honor 6x after 2-3hrs my phone switch off automatically. 24hrs stopped could not open my phone. Believe me. Otherwise good phone. Next day when I connect the charger in my phone then it opened.
Just curious ! Is the phone still working ? Can it be used for taking underwater photos in the pool etc ?

DeeJay my phone is still working after dropping in to a buckey full of water.... U just have to use Hair drier asap.
I had a J2 prime, it fell in water, it survived. I didn't do anything to get the water out, all I did was shake it, then it worked just fine.. after a month. The camera and speakers were filled with water, but fixed itself in a month.

Chalmes Dwayne my friend has a J2 and he dropped his phone into lake 3 times and still working until now, the only issue is just rusted screws.

Can survey, mine one drop in closestool in toilet and then I take it from closestool....after wash it with clean water and dry it....still can function and charging...Only camera a bit blur, but after 1 month should be ok

Mine fell in the toilet bowl.. I took it out from the bowl and then poured some clean water into it to wash and clean it (because it swam in the toilet where I had peed hahah).. And the phone still worked pretty fine after that ordeal.. No issues whatsoever.....
