Dear, phones now a days have capacitive display. Water is conducting and as it makes a full contact with the screen of the phone, it will not respond to touches by your finger.
And as soon as you take it out of the water, it will record the response from your fingers which too are conducting in behaviour.

Most smart phones are pretty dust and water resistant even without a rating. The trick is to turn it off and dry it if it gets submerged or in the speakers/ mic. What he shows fits in the ''omg my phone in da water!!'' test.

Mine fell in the pool, 2ft deep and worked for one month the went in. Good thing I changed the entire LCD screen display, so now if working fine. Don't think they are water resistant.
true, its not waterproof at all. Mine got all sort of problem after I fell into a river

Okay but I dropped my phone in the toilet (don't ask) and it still works perfectly. There might be some unseen damage, but it'll definitely not disintegrate as soon as it comes into contact with a drop of water (as some comments suggest).

man, almost all phones are "waterproof" beacause even if the phone stops working, you will just have to wait till the water evaporate. But with sea water i think it will not survive.
Its not water proof. I tried it now phone is not working. I can see the water stain inside my lcd.
I dropped my honor 7x in the sink and took it out immediately and now all it does is reboot over and over again stuck on the blue screen so I would say no, it is not waterproof at all. Mine worked fine for about an hour or so after it fell in and then totally shit the bed. This video does not give enough time to show the full effects. Chances are if you drop this in water, you are going to have to buy a new phone.

There is an American version. In America it's the Hauwei Mate SE. You can buy it online at Amazon.com it comes factory unlocked. It will work on carriers like AT&T or T Mobile. But it won't work with carriers like Verizon.
