Everyone saying it’s so easy , they play so slow , brotha it’s a game of almost half a century ago , everything has evolved in badminton drastically , the requests, strings , shuttles and the main reason for slow game is feather shuttle and the shuttle during that time easily damaged so they used to blow to rearrange the feathers in shuttle

Point no.18 in the Second Game.
Hansen low smash to Prakash's forehand. Prakash uncanny anticipation, picks it up and finishes the point with a breathtaking Cross
    Court drop shot.
Amazing array of strokes by both.
    Thank you, Mynah Bird.

This is great👍, but like a rehearsal. Maybe because the badminton game grew and progressed. If badmintoon now, the game is faster, more energetic and the smashe is powerful😁.

It was then too but a little slow and u are feeling this because of very low camera quality and vedio due to which u cannot see that energy

How much the game has changed and not just the points system. Though people were a lot less stressed then.

Its just so weird that the game has not changed that much
Yeah sure the game has become more fast paced and services are backhanded most of the time in singles there are really small amount of difference Today

This is very high level attack play from 2 all-time greats. The average match from this era was sluggish. That said, the move to the backhand serve was more a feature of the change to 21-points and rewarding attacking play againsrt the serve + matches being shorter by half an hour. It wasn't really better equipment that forced that change. Because I think 2006 AE, the semis was the 4 kings and all of them still using underarm serves, the next year the 21 point system, and everyone had switched. I was playing uni badminton at that time, and I stuck with the underarm serve anyway, because most people are frankly much better at smashing in their imagination than in real life, and i appreciate free point donations! But with pros, yeh, you don't want to let them tee off on you.

The last high-tier badminton championship to use 15-point, serve to win a point was the 2005 IBF World Championship held in the USA. It's not much different
