for anybody who wanted to know: 1200 hours = (1)50 days. if they have around 12 people working on a video with 5 work days where they would work for 8 hours, that could result to 150 working days (3600 hours minus 14 hours if they worked for 8 hours each day, 1,200 hours of work.)

@@mozkitolife5437 Yeah ofc even his voice is soothing, but like for motivation with life or for like a powerful speech of facts as you said, this Narrator's (forgot name sry) voice is befitting too. It's not the YOU CAN DO IT IF YOU WANT TO *intense bg music* type typical cliché motivation speech people's voices, but more gentle, interesting and you're more likely to understand and implement what he says.
This is one of the few channels where I stop basically everything I'm doing, go straight to 1080p60 fullscreen and just enjoy the video. I love the combination of the sound design, animation and narration, they all mix so well together that it really just feels like I'm in the world of Kurzgesagt.
What is breaking when something notable happens and becomes news? Always breaking but what thr f is the thing always in the process of breaking... weird. I doubt that anything can break that often and still be mentioned all the time.
And why would the tv always want to remind us it is breaking stuff.. especially news. Break them to pieces and usually find only unrecognizable bits and pieces that make no sense and yet are discussed and discussed and discussed over and over and over and over. It is indeed discussed intelligently and respectfully and responsibly and to the point as well as generally in a... the breaking news thing is brilliant. Break more news its so helpful and reassuring.

I think we all sometimes take for granted how time consuming and difficult these videos are to make. The group behind Kurzgesagt doesn't have to put this much effort into every video, and yet they do. Somehow, amazingly, they have hand-crafted a channel that excels in both quality AND quantity. Thank you Kurzgesagt, for being awesome!
That is absolutely true. Technicaly they don’t have to put much effort into content the same way that I don’t have to put much effort in my job as a teacher. But if I enjoy what I do and would like to keep my job and be an attractive employee I should make an effort. We as consumers are, most of the time, blissfully unaware of the amout of work that goes into all the products we consume.
Every single animated character, every design is so beautiful. The narrator’s voice is soo beautiful. The fact that they even put the research papers at the bottom right hand side for us to research is so beautiful. Subscribing to this channel has been one of the best things I have done so far, thanks people .

The narrator's voice is so good that RUclips's auto generated captions can tell what he's saying. EDIT: I see a lot of replies about saying that it was written, but there is an auto-generated too
to be fair though, youtube's auto generated captions are actually very good. like, the only things that they really make mistakes are when multiple people are talking at once/someone's talking over a loud noise, or when someone's using words that aren't in the dictionary (eg subnautica is not a word that it'll recognize). it's improved a ridiculous amount from when it first started.

They dont have to train birds. The birds used are just animated graphics on a computer screen. No birds are harmed in the making of any of their videos.

I haven't seen one video of Kurzgesagt I haven't liked. Can we just take a moment to appreciate the time those 2-3 illustrators take to animate the videos? *Thank you*
1) Create a script 0:55 = Search for a topic, and tries to reflect fact base views also verified by professionals this takes few weeks and years to complete 2) illustrations 1:42 = creating visuals using adobe illustrator, 2/3 illustrators speand 8-12weeks illustrating the video 3) Narration 2:28 = this is recorded in a studio 4) Animation 2:50 = scenes need to be animated, use adobe after effects to make things move, takes 8-10 weeks 5) Music Sound design 3:33 = sound cloud and Spotify, also sound effects to make it sound realistic.
2:28 the line "now it's my turn" felt like the most secret hidden boss moment in kurzgesagt history. as heartless as it sounds, i literally never thought about the fact that the narrator is a person (which i guess you could argue just means he's good at his job)
And the part I find the funniest is the script writer is probably the one who wrote “and now it’s my turn” knowing that it would be said by the narrator
I seriously love this channel. Not only is it enterntaning far beyond enything i have every seen, it also makes me interested in things i never thought i would be interested in. The things you talk about could be the most boring things to learn about in school, but here its some of the most interesting. I would abseloutly support you guys if i had the money for it, but all i can do is turn off adblocker before i start one of your videoes.

I have no idea why but I just got CHILLS when he said “Now, it’s my turn.” Like this disembodied voice has been teaching us from up above for years and then suddenly he’s THERE. Like, I don’t know how to explain it. It’s like if you played The Stanley Parable and the narrator just walked out the door in front of you.
we've been so used to referring to him in our minds as a passive tool that feeds us information, when the narrator breaks the fourth wall it gives him more of an identity in our minds

I never bothered to think about how much work is put into these videos, from researching an idea to creating and animating designs to importing sounds to bring a usually 7 - 12 minute video to life.
The narrator doesnt know, but he is very important to me. When i started studying english, Kurzgesagt was the very first thing i could hear and fully understand without subtitles. Thanks for talking so clearly and smoothly. You guys teach us in ways you can never imagine.
I tried to make animations videos and tried to do all the things by myself from the script to the final edit...I tried it for an year, and only managed to make like 3 horrible videos....damn it is so hard to do these kind of stuff...I have so much respect for people who make these animation stuff cuz of that experience

The narrator's voice is so good that RUclips's auto generated captions can tell what he's saying.
EDIT: I see a lot of replies about saying that it was written, but there is an auto-generated too
to be fair though, youtube's auto generated captions are actually very good. like, the only things that they really make mistakes are when multiple people are talking at once/someone's talking over a loud noise, or when someone's using words that aren't in the dictionary (eg subnautica is not a word that it'll recognize). it's improved a ridiculous amount from when it first started.

1) Create a script 0:55 = Search for a topic, and tries to reflect fact base views also verified by professionals this takes few weeks and years to complete
2) illustrations 1:42 = creating visuals using adobe illustrator, 2/3 illustrators speand 8-12weeks illustrating the video
3) Narration 2:28 = this is recorded in a studio
4) Animation 2:50 = scenes need to be animated, use adobe after effects to make things move, takes 8-10 weeks
5) Music Sound design 3:33 = sound cloud and Spotify, also sound effects to make it sound realistic.
2:28 the line "now it's my turn" felt like the most secret hidden boss moment in kurzgesagt history. as heartless as it sounds, i literally never thought about the fact that the narrator is a person (which i guess you could argue just means he's good at his job)
