The mp7 and mp9 are actually pretty viable weapons. They do a decent amout of damage, are low cost, and have a fast fire rate. Not to mention the good armor penetration. Also, (even being smg's) you dont always have to go for headshots. Even at full health, you can often kill a T with a bodyshot. (Ok, now thats off my chest)

With the Tec-9, P250 and Five-Seven nerfed into the ground the MP9 and Mac-10 are pretty damn useful now on eco rounds, plus if you're T side the Mac-10 is pretty damn useful for rushing B on dust 2 and rushing blue door on Cache. When you're on CT side the mp9 is pretty useful for anti-eco rounds and flanking through mid.
UMP is good when you're a rifle player, MP9 when you're someone who can change their playstyle drastically so the enemies can't predict what you're going to play.
DerPixelPanda ump is so good if you are using it as a rifle, and it is a lot cheaper than rifles, for me it is best choice against force buys and against eco. And you can play with it on the gunround too
To be fair.. the MP9 is one of the best SMG's to use for holding off a tight entrance into a bombsite, such as B-tunnels on Dust II Also, it is surprisingly accurate at medium distance, in comparison to the Mac-10 (which is the terrorist equivalent) It sports the highest standing and crouching accuracies of any SMG, so if you are going to use it properly, get yourself set up in a position where you can act as a stationary turret spraying bullets down range. On the contrary, the MP9 is not too bad while moving either. While spraying, the MP9 has a rather unique pattern, starting straight up, then ending up in a half-S shape.. So a general advise when using this weapon is to go for fast tap or burst firing while dragging a tiny bit down to compensate for the vertical recoil And the MP9 has the fastest firing-rate of all the SMG's, tied with the P90
