Hey there, thanks again for your video and visiting Lafayette Park, hope you enjoyed it and quite frankly you kind of nailed it, there was an article in the 1960s when Lafayette Park first started being constructed and it called our area an “Urban oasis in the middle of the city” . That’s really what it is. It’s a very pleasant area to live in and yet we’re right next to everything ,very few large cities have anything like this, I’m not sure but didn’t see the glass town houses , you might’ve gone by. They’re pretty interesting and on the national historic register, fun to check out. Oh, you were asking about Ducharme place ,that’s all apartments, and the riverfront development you walked past, Orleans Landing, is pronounced the same as in New Orleans . we live in the 1300 building you went by , the big high-rise , on an upper floor north west corner overlooking downtown ( big glass windows) and a bit of the river looking all the way west and north, it’s an incredible view. We think 1300 has the best views in the city, nighttime is awesome with downtown all lit up .. all those Pullman Park town houses you toured are really nice. I agree, and actually dollar for a dollar very good value. Thanks again and good luck.

Nice video but you are correct, he didn't actually go through Lafayette Park. I was looking to see if he was going to pass my home.😊

Yes, I was disappointed that he didn’t walk through both the park itself and the adjacent Mies van der Rohe townhouses, the first development within Lafayette Park and has a historic district designation.

Watching from Ft.Lauderdale, wondering if you can do a video of the Royal Oak Township/Ferndale/Livernois & 8 mile area, any future development in that area? Thanks for the videos.

Nice tour of the apartment’s interior I prefer when there’s a 1/2 bath on the 1st level with the garage and a must have for me is a BATHTUB … not a fan of that siding material they used looks cheap …. And I wish THERE WAS some OVER THE TOP newer condo/apartments being built in Detroit… I can’t point to anything recently built that would qualify that includes EVERYTHING in Brush Park and Residents at Waters-square they are pricey but not architecturally pleasing as far as there exterior choices.

The renaming of neighborhoods is so disrespectful I went to a restaurant last year @LSA and the bartender argued with me about the names of East English Village Cass Corridor and The North End

I was GLAD they spent the 6 MILLION DOLLARS to fix that Dodge Fountain at Hart Plaza…. But in ALL the videos I watch of Downtown Detroit I don’t EVER see it ON and working 😒 Only time was when it was 1st repaired and the NEWS was reporting about its return to service. I know they said it would only be on during certain hours which is also disappointing… I see they do keep the one at campus Martius in at least partially working order
