I'm just discovering Falque now, but what I absolutely love about him is his intensely personal involvement in his theological-phenomenological work. For him, none of this is mere theory; it's believed, lived, breathed, felt, touched. Most academics of his calibre with his accomplishments live two lives, one of which is outward - expressing his ideas, advancing his research, putting forward his persona - and the other which is inward - living a private life, withholding personal anxieties and struggles from others. With Falque I see that what he says to the camera (to us) is what he says to his family. His life/work/faith is well-integrated. He's the real deal.
