    Holy crap those Range Guards sound amazing!

    Saying that we all have or had a pair of Howard Leights is 100% accurate. I replaced the ear cups on mine for about $15 and it made a huge difference as far as comfort, especially on longer days at the range.

      I don't have a pair but I've come so close to buying some on many occasions! Anytime I thought about getting them I told myself to wait for a sale then when a sale came around I wouldn't have money for them lol.

    As a hunter and as a low-speed highdrag tip of the spear larper at the flat range "local fudd gun club." I have a few different brands and have learned things about them and different sets someone might deem as useful info to know if they're looking to purchase a set. Most likely not, but anyway here's what ive found, that for hunting i perfer the Howard leight impacts or the walker game ear razor gen 2, both with the gel cup uprgrade and aftermarket headband with more padding. When im in full kit though saving that hostage steel swinging plate or dispatching multiple cardboard communist silhouettes, i bring my peltor comtac 3s or sordins on my hard head veterans ballistic helmet that i severely abuse lol, like its been shot multiple times ran over used as a hammer, shovel, and other various things you know propper product integrity evaluation but i digress. My conclusions are in the woods hunting the walkers and impact sports amplify distance sounds way better even if i can't tell which direction its coming from precisely 100% of the time i can hear deer coming over dead leaves and brush 3 to 4 minutes before they even arrive at my stand. I can't get half that amplification range on the 3m's or the msa's. However, when i take a shot, the walkers and impacts literally cut out all sound just briefly but still all sound, which is fine for hunting. But when im killing cardboard communists at the range the peltor comtac 3's and sordins shine because they suppress the dangerously high decibel sources but dont cut out all noise altogether so i can still get comms up with my buddy via my beofang and airsoft ptt and he can hear me fine through his beofang and peltor comtacs through his 30 foot flat antenna ziptied to the molle on the back of his 10 dollar plate carrier 2 benches down. You can even carry on a normal conversation at the range without radios with these just talking to other people because the sound doesn't get cut all the way off, even with gunfire all around. However, the walker razors and howard leights impact sports i use for hunting they cut off so frequently at the range that you're better off just turning them off and using them as basic ear pro. If someone knows of a brand of electronic ear pro that excels at both tasks ( amplification and suppression) please lmk, i need the amplification of the hunting type but with the compression system of the tactical variants especially if they are able to be headband or helmet born with a single down lead for ptt and radio setup, that would be perfect. I apologize for writing a novel, but you know when i get a few drinks in me, i feel poetic an obligation to express my thoughts and opinions to complete strangers on the internet probably lowering their iq in the process.

      I havn't. I'm curious though as the AMP NFMI ones are just insane but they basically double up hearing with the AMP and in-ear piece

    List does not have Savior Apollos; cheaper than all of them and better than all of them. What is going on with these reviews; that’s one of the most popular on the market with better out of the box specs than the rest

      @ThinLineDefenseCo  13 часов назад +2

      Hadn't ever heard about em! Seems like they came out just a bit ago. 50 bucks...24 NRR. Noise rating is impressive and looks like they have gel cups! Could be a great option.

      If they are the most popular I feel like I'd have heard people talking about them but I didn't know they existed before you brought them up. They look comparable in price to the others and the NRR looks to be a little higher (which could mean a lot since decibels are a logarithmic scale).

      @@OdesiusKrosa sorry guys maybe I’m just region locked; these are everywhere where I’m at. 38 bucks off of Amazon; 24 on sale.
      I’ve replaced my Sordins with these; indoors I always double up and honestly the gel plus the physical switch is key.
      Outdoor, these are significantly more comfortable than the clamp force of Sordins; I also can buy 2-3 of them and still come at half price
