@@stillmeadowfarm, Luke Combs is a fraud. He used country rap independent star Ryan Upchurch to get where he is. Luke doesn't talk about it, but his first platinum record was because Upchurch was on the song. Sony called both Luke and Upchurch at the same time. Upchurch turned them down. Then, Sony threatened to sue Upchurch to have him remove Luke's name from the song. Now, all Luke's songs are done by ghostwriters. Without Upchurch, Luke would still be living on ramen.

Concrete Blonde is great. A band I was in a long long time ago now used to cover their song Mexican Moon. We were a thrash/death metal band similar to early Sepultura. We didn't cover that song in that style. Whole reason we picked that song is that it was the only song the entire band could agree that we all wish we had been the ones to write and perform it originally.

I was playing a gig as a duet at a local bar a few years ago. While we were on a break and my buddy was outside having a smoke, a lady from the crowd came up and asked if I knew this song. The chords are pretty simple, so I started playing them on my guitar. And she stepped up to my buddy's mic and started singing. She had an amazing voice, and I held my own singing the harmonies. From where I was sitting, it sounded fantastic. When we'd finished, the lady gave me a hug and left the bar.

I was in this little bar in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (USA) listening to a random bar band. There I was with the girl I was dating at the time sipping a beer or something trying to chat over the music. The band wasn't bad. But they abruptly finished a song, there was some murmuring, and then they announced that a girl in the audience wanted to play a song if we didn't mind.
And then that whatever day in 1992 or 1993, Linda Perry stepped onto the stage, grabbed an acoustic guitar from the band and belted out this song.
    Just phenomenal. Just wow.
She finished, then stepped off the stage into a crowd that had gone completely insane and just hung out the rest of the night and drank and danced to the little bar band.

Fun fact: the lead singer, Linda Perry, later went on to ‘discover’, manage and produce Pink.

No, Pink actually kinda stalked Linda (she has said so in interviews) in the beginning. Linda did end up help write and produce some of Pink's songs though. But their relationship is weird.

What's UP by 4 for Non Blond came out at the exact moment when I was in despair and on the way to a new life, or so I hoped. I was committed by my parents because I was a serious drug addict and there were no other solutions from May 93 to September 95. The journey was long and this song accompanied me all that time. I still listen to it today. Music is also an excellent remedy for the ills of the soul😊

If you are looking for female singers; Joan Jett. Her most popular songs, I Love Rock And Roll and Bad Reputation. Janis Joplin. Songs, Summertime, Me And Bobby Mcgee, Mercedes Benz, Piece Of My Heart and Cry Baby.
Battle Beast; Songs, Show Me How To Die and Enter The Metal World. The singer on those songs was Nitte Valo. They changed their singer to Noora Louhimo. L have not kept up with them so I can't recommend songs with the new lineup because I don't know.
