    Hi Erik, thanks for the video. It is amazing with the level of details you have captured. Helped me a lot. I have one question though. Is it necessary to have holes(on body) in square shape? Can't we have them round leave enough room for hands to move?

    • @samuelhoffmann5578
      @samuelhoffmann5578 6 лет назад

      Hari well, of course it's better for the feeling, when you train, but it won't be a problem at all if you'd make circle wholes :)

    • @ErikHovedskou77
      @ErikHovedskou77  3 года назад +1

      I probably do not want to make them round, as it is very much the sound you listen to when you train on your dummy to hear if your techniques hit at the same time

    this is the wrong way to construct wing chun dummy!! Have you ever wondered how they made it two centuries ago, without electricity and power tools!!?? Because of you ponder on that you'll realize why I said the method is wrong!! But I admire your improvisation of method!!

    • @utubepunk
      @utubepunk 2 года назад +1

      I think your perspective is limiting. People made wooden dummies centuries ago using the tools they had available to them at the time. Those craftsmen would LOVE to have the tools we have now!

    • @uptish1
      @uptish1 2 года назад

      It's not about the tools, it's about the designing method I was hinting upon. If you had done your research you'd have realised what I was pointing to.
      Superior technology and tools don't prove any superiority in creativity. There's no doubt the dummy maker in this video is highly intelligent and qualified in engeneering, but whole methods used here is too complicated even the marking system is too complicated. There's high chances person without proper qualifications Will end up with high percentage of errors in design.
      I'm not an engineer but I can make dummies with higher precision...99.99% accuracy.
      That's because of the ancient knowledge of Shaolin temple. Monks there were not engineers, yet designed accurate dummy, without any errors.
      Having too much technology spoils the purpose of economy and purpose.
      Please criticise after some research.
      Moreover I didn't criticise this person in video, I appreciated his improvisation as per his knowledge....which is too high for the purpose!!
      'All that you so firmly believe, is the least known!!'
