Use heat when you remove the IHS, you have to deal with the silicon dies than you can recover the solder which contains 10 to 20% indium, bit only the soldered IHS`s non soldered is only thermal paste
Hi Pete, new subscriber. Would electrolysis work to remove gold fingers from ram stick trims.. I've seen plenty times AP being used. While listening to you tho I just had the thought.
Yes it will but its fiddly , i actually have a much better way than using AP . im just waiting until i have enough for a video then ill show yas . so stay tuned because youre going to love it.. and hey thanks for subscribing , i really appreciate it
Did u tried to buy HNO3 in farm supply some of them have it on a cheap but it is only 40-53% strong and minimum amount is 20l on the +side it is 2,5-3dollar/l
i dont know dorry , im australian . i suggest you look in your local hardware store for drain cleaner , some contain sodium hydroxide and some contain sulfuric acid . otherwise you could do a search for chemical suppliers near you
I do sometimes. Ive even made a video showing me recycling it. But in this case I needed to put it down the drain because our bath doesn't drain and ive been putting drain cleaner in all sinks and drains
You need your mask and gloves more than the hospital does. This may indeed be worldwide genocide, through the cure not the disease. Increased government control, you won’t be able to sell gold without a mark in your right hand
Great idea regarding led sinkers if unable to hammer out or mould. 👍
Absolutely

Pete, if you gave them a quick boil in HCL first would that get rid of enough Tin, so it wasn’t an issue with the gold deplating ?
yep

Hello what if you just filter the gold and just melt it insted of refining it ?
theres nothing wrong with doing that at all if you dont mind it being impure
@@prospectorpete what grade would it be around ?
@carloc-xu4lu that depends. It's hard to say. But at a guess id say 50%
@@prospectorpete thank you so much for responding I appreciate the videos keep up the good work !

Hi wher you buy sulfuric acid in uk thanks?
i dont know dorry , im australian . i suggest you look in your local hardware store for drain cleaner , some contain sodium hydroxide and some contain sulfuric acid . otherwise you could do a search for chemical suppliers near you
Can you use sodium hidrocloride for that instead of sulfuric acid?thanks
@@hamdialtunsal47 no , sodium hydroxide is totally different
Great video, joined your channel.
thankyou so much buddy
Ty so much
OMG MATEY AN THEN WHAT??? WHAT DO YOU DO AFTER IT????
once it all settles, filter it and put the sediment into aqua regia
another good video, why don't you filter the sulfuric acid and reuse it multiple times? instead of loosing it in the water
I do sometimes. Ive even made a video showing me recycling it.
But in this case I needed to put it down the drain because our bath doesn't drain and ive been putting drain cleaner in all sinks and drains
Thumbs UP
thanks
Don’t bust a gut ❤ it I’m going to use that

NOT WORTH IT !
Where abouts do you live? Great video 👍
Patrick Coombes thanks mate. I'm in western australia
Do you show how to get the gold out of the solution?
yes , simply filter the solution after youve added it to water . the black sediment at the bottom is gold
@@prospectorpete i thought its a big no-no adding any type of acid to water. rule of thumb always add acid to water.. ???
@@sarahturrey5446 yes it's always acid to water. Never water to acid
what next...i see nothing
