Thanks for the comments. I was trying to mix it up a bit with this. My band has covered this song in the past and we played it note for note the way hoobastank does but for the acoustic version I thought it needed to be a bit lighter. I actually based this a bit off of an actual hoobastank cover I had seen. Kind of Dan oversimplified here.

I do video production for a living. I shot the video in front of a green screen and then placed that animation in post production. Its pretty time consuming but adds a lot. With my new videos (the 3 doors down videos) they are also done on a green screen but i used a solid background not an animated one.

Hey, just logged in to say that I really like what you're doing. Of course you're no Doug and no Dan, but even though I have in mind the original acoutic version of the guys, I have to admit that you're doing a good job in your own way. I was just curious how you would cover it, especially the guitar-part which is very hard if you'd play it right. First I was a bit disappointed that you only play the chords but I found myself enjoying what you do here. ..
