    One other tip. Before you put in the potting soil, familiarize yourself with how the water level indicator should work. Fill the reservoir and observe how high that little indicator is going and if it goes back down. It's much easier to troubleshoot before there is soil in the pot.

    Flower pot looks to big for snake plant. Rule of thumb is 1-2 inches bigger than root ball. Snake plants like being rootbound

    My styrofoam detached itself after I’d planted it and only noticed when I was watering it afterwards, do you think this planter will still be okay ?

      It doesn’t need the styrofoam to work but you won’t know how high the water level is without it
