What Kemi and Rishi are doing is attempting to shut down the discussion by using thought-terminating cliches. They’re appealing to identity, not engaging with the discussion because they have no actual arguments. They only have feelings.
Trans-people should be treated with common courtesy, just like everyone else. But they do not have the right to expect that other people - society at large - should share their transgender beliefs, especially when those beliefs are based on little more than an internal psychological state.
So what you’re saying is they don’t deserve common courtesy if you and your people don’t agree? I mean I see people do questionable things all the time and don’t feel the need to course correct them, so why are you singling out the transgender community?

A question for the first caller: why does no trans woman who has competeted in the history of sport hold a world record faster, higher, longer than that of a woman who isn't trans? Literally never happened. Frankly I think her characterisation of women as weaklings who could never hold a candle to someone with a whif of maleness is pretty insulting and misogynistic. Maybe instead of scapegoating a few trans athletes we should actually be campaigning to get women's sport the same funding and parity as men's so women can actually achieve their potental.
Caitlyn Jenner set the World Record for points in the Men's Decathlon in 1975 and 1976. Though surpassed, it still remains higher than the current Women's World Record set in 2005. You're welcome. Also, an unfair sporting advantage does not mean that any trans identifying male will always beat all women, it means he will rank higher against women than if he competed against other males. Compare Lia Thomas' NCAA rankings for when he competed in men's events vs women's.
Where did she imply women were weaklings? Many men are far weaker than top athletes or sportsmen, but that doesn’t make them weaklings. You’ll in serious denial if you need to go to extremes of world records to try and deny the obvious difference between men and women. If sport were not segregated by sexes what do you honestly expect it to look like for female representation.
Also, I'm pretty sure that at various times women _have_ actually held the overall world record in certain sports over their male counterparts. Discus, ultra-marathon distance and free diving for example.
@@yington Because women being allowed to compete in sport is a late addition of which up until recently always took second place to men's competition. Further to female athletes are still not getting the cash rewards from competition that men get and that is the bigger scandal than the advent of an extreme minority of trans women in sport, but hey, distract, distract
She made completely baseless claims which totally misrepresents the data. He sighed because she's lying and she doesnt know what she's talking about and neither do you.
Trans rights dont automatically remove womens rights. If there are men that play they system to claim to be a Trans woman to get advantages or access to womens spaces for negative reasons that that is the fault of those individuals, not the whole Trans community.
So which law then, or which right is being removed? I will note that her biggoted comments were only for male to female trans. What about female to male?
I don’t know but I’m guessing that’s the point she’s making ie you never hear of trans men causing issues in sport because they are unlikely to be able to compete at the same level, ‘women’ are seriously disadvantaged in most sports compared to men that’s why we have separate categories - if testosterone were simply the issue then why doesn’t a women pumped full of testosterone win in male categories? I’m guessing it’s because the other typical male characteristics like height, bone density, muscle mass have an effect? And I’m guessing it’s the same for safe spaces, most men don’t feel threatened by most women but alas it’s not the same for women. If a woman entered a men’s changing room i doubt many men would feel threatened but if a man entered a women’s changing room the reaction wouldn’t be the same. Men and Women are fundamentally different. Trans people deserve love and respect like everyone else but it does seem its women that are likely to loose out far more then men over trans rights so us men should be more empathetic to those who are more likely to be affected and listen to their concerns…IMHO
When you intentionally miss gender trans women you know it makes your argument more confusing right? It sounds like you're describing them going in for a circumcision 🤣🤣
David's attitude is part of effect, not cause. As with Atheism, which would be pointless were it not for the existence of Theism. Atheism being an effect of Theism. If a society doesn't want uber-woke backlash then just let people exist in the name of decency and no malice and hatred? The only reason for this woke noise is the anti-woke counter-noise. It is actually that simple to just take it all down to a reasoned simmer and without all the rabble-rousing and assertions and shaming. It might actually help. To paraphrase: The sleep of reason is the wellspring of monstrosity. To get rid of monstrosity, remove unreason. It is not reasonable to bully and target minority and divergent populations with hatred and furthermore not expect a countermovement. That's what the rainbow flags are for! To some, David's comments may be monstrosity, but it is effect of monstrosity. The cause needs to look at itself before criticizing. And moving right to the cause, the importance of consent between biological genders and the non-invasion of private spaces needs to be drummed in at school age!! That should be mandatory!
At the end of the day everyone faces risks from other people. It isn't a comptetion. Let's just grow up and accept that life isn't perfect. Deal with monsters as they come rather than insulting the innocent and treating them with suspicion.

Takes me back to gamergate when the woman on the pro side got 11 minutes and the women against was only on for 8 minutes with 4 of those minutes being just a review of what the first woman said. Okay, provide hard data, from Police reporting and crime statistics, on the number of assaults occurring in those places.

Deserving common courtesy has nothing to do with agreeing or not agreeing with transgender ideology. It applies to everyone. I'm commenting on the trans-issue because it's the focus of this video, in case you hadn't noticed.

@@medalion1390
So why do we divide sport between men and women in the first place?
@@yington Because women being allowed to compete in sport is a late addition of which up until recently always took second place to men's competition. @@PLl-jr8xi "people going on"? You mean people arguing for and actively fighting for equality, right?

Two points. We see this type of argument from liberals all the time so not sure why it is a huge deal when this woman does it. Secondly we always hear about women's rights to speak but often its only certain women. Takes me back to gamergate when the woman on the pro side got 11 minutes and the women against was only on for 8 minutes with 4 of those minutes being just a review of what the first woman said. What we are saying is women can talk but only if they say what we want them to say which sounds great in theory but isn't equal.
Kemi Badenoch is A CABINET MINISTER. She not only has the ultimate national platform on which to speak (which headlines in all the papers about this story perfectly attest to), but what she says and does can be made law. She's not some gobshite on a phone-in show. She's one of the most powerful women in the UK right now. Stop speaking as if she's just some random black woman who had an opinion.
