    "One day it has to rain". That isn't true anymore. Not in a human scale of time.

    These poor families have my deepest sympathy for all their problems and I'm going to donate to some farmers charities right not. However, this is what you get for obstinately carrying on farming in drought prone areas and expecting different results or these problems wont keep coming back. Time to walk away and leave farming to other countries and time for governments (governments because they are all the same) to help them do that safely and not have them ruined in the process.

    The farmers need to pray for rain. PRAYER does work.
    We have had rain in our wheatbelt here in Western Australia as I am one of the people that pray for rain here in WA. According to news reports there might be enough grain to help NSW.

      There's an ancient proverb "trust in God but tie up your camel," in other words have faith but be proactive. Let's use the cattle manure as fertiliser to plant fast growing, drought resistant Leucaena plants (high protein fodder) in contour rows. The Leucaena will provide you with more fodder than your cattle can eat and its canopy cover will reduce evaporation and increase precipitation i.e. create rain. You will break the drought with this one plant. Next, use your bulldozers to dig contour water harvesting ditches to catch every drop of rain and hold water in your landscape to prevent flooding and loss of top soil.

    I don’t want to sound HARSH, but Australia is not cut out for HOOVED ANIMALS, it’s that simple... that’s why kangaroos have feet the way they do and not hooved like a deer....

    Global warming is just getting started. Unfortunately, Australia is the dryest continent in the world. Don't know what to tell these good people except perhaps consider another profession. I know that's not what they want to hear. The truth is we're all up the creek. God bless.

    Why would you shoot a sheep when you could sell it for approximately $170 at the current price (which would pay for transport costs)? use your brain, destock and stop spreading false information. Yes we are in a time in desperate need of rain where i'm from but please stop putting farmers in a bad light.

    • @Schaapkraal
      @Schaapkraal 6 лет назад +2

      Thye wont get $170 the animals are skinny and he is going to get so little for the animal that he will make a huge loss as is then add on the transport cost and he is better off just shooting the animal the loss is less.
      Get yourself imformed before you judge.
