I'm starting to think this leak was intentional and part of Bandai's marketing strategy. The trailer shown at Gamescom had Bardock, but he hasn't been confirmed yet. In the trailer for the Buu saga, Supreme Kai wasn't confirmed, but that same week, he appeared on the main menu screen. In the GT trailer, we didn't have Super 17 or Nuova Shenron. In this latest leak, although they showed a lot of characters, they also missed some of the full BT3 roster. The pattern is that in all of these things, there's always been something missing. Maybe the big surprise we'll get will be a trailer showing that everyone from BT3 is back. If they included Freeza Soldier, I think they pretty much confirmed that everyone is back. He might be the hint that suggests that hahaha If they had announced from day one that we would get all the characters from BT3, all this hype wouldn't be happening regarding which characters would make the cut and which wouldn't. Doesn't that make sense?

THEY ARE NOT READY FOR THIS PREDICTION: The "press" video that was leaked is from the most updated Tokyo Game Show demo. That's why you only see characters and battles (no story mode, no custom battle, tournament, etc.). Clearly they were going to reveal these characters in these weeks before or during the event (As happened with Super Buu, Kid Buu, etc. These characters were first seen in the most updated demo before the trailer). The final game will have more than 182 characters. That's my theory. Have a good few weeks!

GT Trunks was never shown in any trailer, although he could be a skin for Battle Armor Trunks since they did that with Adult Gohan Z giving him his Super outfit (Tournament of Power)

The locked character must be the secret dlc character and it looks to be Goku Jr from GT or Early access to Daima Goku
I don't think they'll give us early access to Daima since that DLC hasn't been given a release date or a reveal trailer to show us which characters from Daima will be in the game
So I’m confused about something. If I were to pick base goku would I be able to go ssj? And if that’s the case, why wouldn’t I just pick ssj from the character select? I’m just confused on how it works
Yep you can trasnform up to ssj 1 2 3 etc, and destransform to!
The way Sparking Zero works is you have a 5 member party team but the more powerful the character is, the less characters you can use in battle. Example:
If you wanted to start off with SSB Goku,SSB Vegeta & Golden Frieza then you can't use that team. (The transformations give higher stat boost and damage)
But if you picked Base Goku, SSJ Vegeta & (4th Form) Frieza then you can use them on a full team. The game is not meant to be balanced. The stronger the character/form, the fewer options you have.
If Player 1 has Merged Corrupted Zamasu, and Baby 2
Player 2 could have (SSJ2) Teen Gohan, Android 16 & Pan
another example:
Player 1: SSJ3 Gotenks, Nail, Kid Goku, Frieza Solider & a Saibaman
Player 2: SSG Vegeta,SSR Goku Black

I think you're limited to 4 transformations per character so you'll be most likely able to assign both UI transformations on Goku, same with Toppo
