  • It was one of my lifetime goals to become a firefighter, I overcame many trials and tribulations in order to become one. I joined to help serve the community after losing my 2 month old nephew. During the first initial processing, I found out I had a rare medical condition called an Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) in my brain. Years after radiation, my AVM closed and I was back to processing, however these obstacles I overcame ultimately made me realize the job was affecting my mental health and so I made one of the hardest decisions of my life and walked away.

This was a hard video to make and to admit to but I feel it is right as we only have one life and everything is a learning lesson.
