What color do we paint this thing?! Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, thank you all for watching, the past 6 months of RUclips life have been a dream come true! And I messed up the voiceover around 23:20 sorry everyone 🤦
I swear I feel like I'm watching a mix between Tavarish and Alex from LSC! Quickly becoming one of my must watch as soon as it goes live uploaders! Love the content brother!
dude the dedication it takes to rebuild a car, especially one this bad is really something. i rebuilt my 1985 lx and it was the most rewarding thing ive ever done. so congrats, cant wait to see the final results.
A little advice...if you want. Next time yoi weld the engine mounts.....just tack them in and then remove the poly bushings so that they don't catch fire like they did 👍👍👍👍
Appreciate the kind words, thanks for watching! My friend Conci did the editing on the whole welding section, dude is good and constantly showing me some rad things on the editing side
Thanks, my friend Conci has been helping me for a while but he did the heavy lifting on this one. This past month has been rough so without him this video would still be in the works!
@@ElseasWorld cheers! Keep up the good work and this is great build and story to be told of this car's brutal past life is hilarious. Thks Consi. Happy New Years
I went to school with Mike for a bit... he's always been super passionate about cars... its awesome to see him take that passion and continue to entertain the future generations... awesome work bro... keep it up
The cinematic shots of welding the engine mounts was very cool it seems every video keeps getting better and better you are awesome sir have a great new year!!!!
Loving the 350z(ed) content, keep up the great work. I like how you keep in the little bits about forgetting spanner's whilst under the car and having to repeatedly crawl out and crawl back in, it's very relatable 😅
keep that hard and honest work bro!! totally felt that when you forgot the thread Lock and the 17mm, been there! hahaha nice to see this part of the process
Good stuff - your skills are impressive - learn new tricks such as 'silicone' is the latest hose type etc. - if you haven't already, are you replacing coil on plugs and plugs? - a few months ago put all new NGK coil over plugs and NGK Ruthenium HX in my 10 Altima coupe V6 3.5SR 6MT (the MAC daddy) with 203K now (AMSOIL Signature 5W30) - runs as good or better than new. It never ceases to amaze me how much better a vehicle runs after replacing just those.
I think one of the nicest things you can ever do for an old JDM monster is to replace all the rotten old exterior weather strips. I just did that for my Tommy kaira M20b wagon. Makes a car feel, and look great again - especially with elbow out the window!
I know the struggle of crawling under a car on your back and working under the steering wheel. It's not very fun or easy.(E.Z.) 😂 good job stickin to it.🎉
Im in the DSM world but i stumbled across your channel. I love cars from the era. And you saving this is truly wholesome. I took 4 years to get my eclipse on the road. What a rewarding feeling!
I just subscribed to your channel, found from when u dropped off the supra to tavarish. I think you are a great, well-rounded mechanic, love the build, and i agree that your shop would very much benefit from a quality lift. Best of luck! Not that youre gonna need it. Thanks for documenting this build to bring us along on the journey and educating the viewers, it is such a big help and very entertaining way to pass the time!
Come on internet!!! Let's get this man to 100k subs in no time!! Loving the progress, quality of vids is improving! Keep up the hard work man! Blessings from Cape Town South Africa!
i literally LOL'd five times, which doesn't happen unless you're funny. despite the act, you are a perfectionist with mild OCD. i can relate. i also appreciate the pointers on silicon hoses and flexible clutch/brake lines. keep up the great work and perseverance on the Z. all the best in 2025...& get that lift installed sonnn!!!
The struggle is real I have totally been there using my knees or shoulder or block of wood or best friend's dog to prop things up as you're trying to reattach them with only 6 inches of clearance underneath your car
Wow! That Z has come a long way since you pulled it out of the woods! Great work, man! I can’t wait to see what it looks like once you get the cosmetic stuff done. I think it’d look cool painted Bayside Blue or Midnight Purple… And kudos to you on your improved production/editing etc. Keep up the great work!
Some of the music and sound effects seem quite strange, it feels like you're experimenting with it. Anyway, love the content and your approach to fixing cars! Keep up the good work
Proud your restoration a 350z,but please if you finish it, some ideas are a veilside kit like the fast and the furious tokio drift,a nismo kit,or a clean build, between thise three are best choices, altho too secret wouod be cool but between thise three choices
Dude I really can't wait for the next one !! please install the lifter so you can at least make it easy for you guys xD IT IS A LIVE !!! MOST important thing ! xD ( super hipped XD )
Maybe it's my imagination, but the manual propshaft looks a bit thinner, so may have less moving mass. Love the videos & following along with the build here :)
Ewwww aftermarket security. I remember having to rip one out of an old 205 GTI, thing was embedded so deep, had to take the dash out and everything. Old car so kinda less wires but not a nice job to do when the plastics are all 30+ year old and kinda hard to replace due to age and fading making a used part not blend in. Canbus cars from VAG group can be a pain with wires sometimes if you solider them the expected reading changes and it just doesn't work. Some resistance issue or something i have heard of people having problems with ABS sensors and stuff soldering instead of crimping.
I dont understand, why not mount new standard engine mounts? They'll outlast the car and are the last "upgrade" you should consider. It doesn't improve handling, performance or any important metric.
I had these from an old project so it saved over $200. We constantly have a lot of factory and parts store engine mounts fail on the z/g rental cars I help maintain so we haven’t had good luck with them 😭
very glad for you to have a lift now, i know the feeling of having my face against the frame, keep it up...and how comes you did not get the million miles car showned to tavarish, and what do you intend of doing with it
I forgot to add at the end during the test drive but I didn't even notice them vibrating any more than the factory mounts. Maybe once I drive it more I will notice it because they are for sure more stiff than factory.
What color do we paint this thing?! Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, thank you all for watching, the past 6 months of RUclips life have been a dream come true! And I messed up the voiceover around 23:20 sorry everyone 🤦
Pearl white or the original color would be cool
Blue paint to match the seats
damn man. your are making things FAST.
make sure you leave him perfect in the end. #proud
METAL FLAKE DARK GREEN! ❤😅
Copper pearl

Well you make me feel special haha. Thanks I really appreciate the kind words, I’m just happy to be doing the thang!
On point, it does feel like a mix of both
Proud of you bro, oh and could you please find me a Supra bumper 😂 some shady used car Supra salesman ripped me off with a once clean title Supra.
That Title was washed in turpentine 😜
Thanks man, I’ll see you soon! Also I know a really greasy supra parts dealer that may have a SLICK deal on a bumper 😂
@@scotturichjust a little bit hahaha
He needs a left rear panel, too.😊

It really is solid, I’ve been wanting one of these for a few years now and makes life way easier! Also the desk is great as well 😂
