Giving a stray animal a home is very rewarding. Both of my cats were strays when they found me as kittens. They are the best cats I have ever had. Both are over 12 years old now.
Much love to you and "Baby Cheetah" 🐆 from Ohio. Awful nice of you to take care of all those cats my friend. I understand there are rules to the game Justin, but in my mind although you didn't take that picture correctly last year you are still the Angler of the year in my opinion. I appreciate all the information and details you provide in the majority of your videos. I have seriously learned so much. I considered myself a decent angler before I started watching you but I'm an even deadlier weapon now that I've indulged myself into your world. Thanks again brother. Safe travels and bent rods. 🎣
The last time I fished there i was on the upper side of the dam using slip float's at 12 to 14 feet down under the float and boy we had a good time catching catfish some big one's...
Watched the first half and got enough pointers that I have a game plan tomorrow. I’ll watch the rest of it on the water tomorrow. I was in that same area Friday last week and went to the flats on both sides and yes there was lot of grass so i moved on, should have tried that channel!
Loving some travel tournament fishing. I was pleased to see that you posted today. Remember to have an extra glove on tournament day. Do you have a kayak tournament check list before you start? Be safe and catchem all.
That's my stumping grounds. It takes a special set up to run up and over stumps. The grass at West Dike where you launched is the worst it's ever been. I was hoping when they dropped the lake for the upstate water from Helena it would kill some off but nope... Still thick as a Snickers
Talking about a picture in my head… was when you taking about weeds off the trolling motor …. Crawling out on the bow of the yak ….. should filmed that .
I’ve seen way too many dump off pets! It always saddens me when this happens. But we gained some pretty awesome pets. When you were working out in the north west, did you have the time to do any fishing?
What keeps people from catching fish the day before the tournament and then putting them on a stringer somewhere and coming back for them on tourney day to take a pic of?
The boots are NRS boundary water boots. As for the heavier leader, I prefer it for abrasion resistance. Catfish have sand paper like mouths that can fray lighter lines. It also gives me something stronger to grab since I don’t use a net to land fish.
This might sound crazy but do you think catfish will eat hot peppers. I have a lot of peppers. And I hear of people caught catfish on bait that I never thought it would work.
@KayakCatfish thanks for replying. All points well taken. I guess asking more so from the tournament side. But I see it's both a personal and tournament decision. Which makes perfect sense from both sides. I totally agrees about posting the weight online. Some people are just arseholes.
There's a place next to the dam on the upper side he's got boat ramp and i stayed in a trailer that he rented out to us easy parking put your boat in nice place
I just wanted to be in the top 5 comments. I'll be saving this to fall asleep and wake up too. My favorite ❤️
"Where the heck did them bees come from?!!! Y'old Thing"...hahaha. Never a dull moment. Big cats too - thanks man.
Good Luck, on both the Tourney and the "Angler of the Year" . I have ENJOYED your videos a lot.... Tight Lines my Friend.

Let’s get a video on map reading picking out spots wear catfish should be
Great video! Loved those big cats! I'm behind again on videos, so I'll watch the next one tomorrow. Have a blessed night, Justin.
Thanks Teri!

Awesome job Justin! Catching two big old golly Whoppers on that golly Whopper rod. Fantastic!😊

I usually go over a mental checklist of stuff before I leave to travel for a tournament
You should put that second Golly Wopper on the instant replay 😂
It slap you twice our your Ear 😂😂🎣🎣🎣🦈🦈🦈
You can enter that video of that golly whopper slapping you in the head in the funniest video show. That was really funny. 😆

Thank y'all for the prayers I am home now
Glad you are back at home buddy!
Monster ❤

You got a couple real nice blues there justin do they have flat head in there and looking forward to seeing your new set up soon I hope lol
A friend of mine caught a 50lb flathead there last week. I only caught blues and channels there though.
I’ve seen way too many dump off pets! It always saddens me when this happens. But we gained some pretty awesome pets.
When you were working out in the north west, did you have the time to do any fishing?
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to do any fishing while I was there.
Santee is awesome come back
My favorite white perch bait is red worms
What keeps people from catching fish the day before the tournament and then putting them on a stringer somewhere and coming back for them on tourney day to take a pic of?
That’s always a possibility in any tournament
Nice
Toward the end of your vid you mentioned ‘perch’. Is a perch different than a blue gill or sunfish?
Different species of fish
Have you ever won angler of the Year Justin?
No, I have missed it by one point the last two years.
Isn't the leader usually less poundage than the main line? What's the technique in having the leader rated for more weight?
I'm also curious about those boots you got on. Got a brand ID on those?

Only way to know for sure is to try it. I have caught catfish on tomatoes while carp fishing so anything is possible.
You can catch all the perch in the canal and large catfish
I used cut bait and chicken liver's and got some pretty big catfish
Can I ask why you don't like to weigh fish? Watching your videos I know all your tournaments are by length.
It's too hard to weigh a fish in a kayak you will not get a consistent wait
@chadsmith5146 makes sense

Find harrys fish camp all in front that's a good place to fish I've fished that area a few times and done good
it looked like a striper but I thought all stripers were hybrid so they can't reproduce naturally? Maybe a new year stocky.
I don’t think they can reproduce there. I’m pretty sure all those fish are stocked.
The perch are so plentiful in the canal I have caught them on bare hooks
There's a place next to the dam on the upper side he's got boat ramp and i stayed in a trailer that he rented out to us easy parking put your boat in nice place
How much for your Hobie pro? Preferably clean? Lol
Haha! I just washed it. Looking to get 2200 for the kayak and trailer. The motor and graph will be removed prior to selling.
🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣👍👍👍👍👍
🙂🎣
"can't stand to see an animal starve" That's why you are always feeding those poor catfish!
Lol 🤣
Yuo are going to have to Cats and no Girl Friend. Which will keep you warmer at night with winter on the way???
I have an adjustable thermostat in my house so keeping warm is never an issue.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
