Because of the Invisi-Res, I like to deem Mirage a mix of roles, rather than just Assault. You could argue he is also a support because of his passive and can even become a distraction for sneaky plays using the rest of his kit (I often act as a distraction for my friends so they can get around teams for an ambush).

It was on olympus on the little hill house nearly energy depot and across from hammond, my teammates constantly went down and I had a guardian angel, so just constantly revived my team back into the fight with damn near full health + shield. Battle was dragged on for like 10 minutes of how much time I spent reviving

I still feel like his season 1 ult was the best and it aligns with mirage being an offensive player. You could easily do some awesome flanks with his ult ( if only he hadn’t the slow weapon draw animation after his ult finishes and) but the footsteps were loud. If they made it silent footsteps,( like Ninja pro park in call of duty) his pick rate would’ve been the a lot higher because you can flank and get away at the same time using the ult.
It really wasn't. His decoys didn't copy your movement and you were actually translucent rather than invisible i think in s1 (or maybe that was b4 that). When they made it invisible was fun but then footsteps gave it away (both sound and visually) and your decoys still didn't copy your movement. In fact, the only way they moved was if you were perched on something higher than the ground. No matter what anyone says, I still believe season 5 is undoubtedly Mirage's season. I literally played the game because I saw his character so I've watched the evolution of his abilities and saw how much versatility he gained when they dropped S5.
@@mrm9570 Mirage's ult sucked up until season 2 which they then buffed his cloak and made it fully invisible and also gave a decloak option. IMO Mirage's ult was at its best from season 2 to 4 I love the tactical and passive changes tho. His passive was so useless before and his tactical was entirely luck or timing-based, his ult rn is great but I don't believe removing the cloak was necessary to balance him had they made the current ult changes and kept the season 2 cloak mirage would actually be a trickster simply because of the early decloak option and moving decoys for confusion.
Its only his best ability cause the rest is even more useless. Invisibility is plain useless when theres an audio indicator that can be heard across the map

His old passive was that when he gets knocked he’d turn invisible for 5-7 seconds
