One thing they could do to increase his pick rate is to provide 2.5 seconds of invisibility to mirage and his teammate after a revive that disappears if shot, healing, throwing nades, or shooting.
2.5 seconds is way too long I feel like 1 second is fine
@@amida_saber7237 you do realize how short a second is right? By the time you finish the revive and start moving half a second has passed. By the time the other half is up you've maybe moved 3 meters.

Invisibility after revive would make him very op. 2.5 seconds is enough time to kill any evo character with any gun from an enemy you can't see. That feature would get removed right away if they added it
As a mirage main, i just force the decoys to act like me in an open setting, scanning for emenies, crouching/uncrouching, maneuvering side to side to give the illusion that im actually there.
What I like to do with the ult is run in a straight line, pop the ult, and turn right around
Mirage main. Serious tip, use your decoys. That’s obvious so I’ll elaborate, use your decoys in a creative way. That is to say you can use an enemy’s knowledge against them. If you are locked down in a spot where you got shot but don’t know where from. Send a decoy, take control of it/mimic you moves, and peek it out of cover (shoot if you feel like adding extra bait) and wait for the info on where and when the enemy shoots.
Don’t be scared to act like a decoy, it gives your enemy a 50/50 on giving up their position or yours so take it and run. Spam your ult, play rez heavy, play chaotic neutral, it all benefits you and your team by giving the enemy more targets to shoot at.
A good buff for his ultimate is to give his holograms the ability to copy the bullets he shoots to better confuse his opponents
These are beginner tips and great for anyone needing a reference for mirage. Add some more tips for some more content, they’re some legends that have complicated play styles to make them tougher to use properly.
Edit: forgot to mention the lack of use on a certain character, does give you an advantage in some cases, but do remember that’s a given rule in most cases. People can adapt quite quickly in apex, I’ve seen some nasty comebacks.

if done right! like push and break their armor but fall back, use decoy to run to make it look like you running away... use that sec to either heal or use a cell battery or simply to catch them off guard as they have their back turn against you >:)

I got one thing to chuck on to this for us mirage mains out there, use the ult for the invisiblity as well when pushing from cover or whatever. Helps get those unexpected jumps

When using it, instead of immediately shooting just wait a few seconds so you can get a better position and confuse the enemies easier

When entering a big fight pop your ultimate mid slide to confuse the opponent and try getting behind an opponent when you slide ult.
Shooting decoy b4 healing helps alot
A little thing I do is because I know his tactical is one people have found themselves easily countering, I use it to find enemies who are throwing down air strikes or grenades, or if you locked down a building with Wattson, I’ll send a decoy through your fences to find just what part of that building you’re hiding in, and from there, I can begin to come up with a plan of attack
The ult is the clutch tool, I use it to save my ass in a bad situation
The passive however is one I make use of more than my teammates, I’ve even used it to avoid detection from enemies just so I could sneak behind them, I’ll fake a revive, then let the revive go when my opponent walks past to shoot them in the back
Bamboozling goes far beyond just having your decoy shot, bamboozling is being able to trick your opponents, it’s about disappearing, whether it be a literal vanishing act, or hiding in a crowd, or hell, just tracking down your opponents by using their own tactics against them
Mirage is a trickster, USE HIM AS SUCH
I've been playing Mirage a lot in ranked this season, and somehow I've been winning more games with him (which is super weird lol). But I like using him in an aggressive manner, like sliding from behind cover on someone and going into his ult, this normally helps me get one knock at least.
I do find his tact to be underwhelming though. But I do still think that if you're facing a player that is experienced with facing mirage, his tricks won't work too well against them and you'll have to rely on your own gun skills

most important tips for using mirage is always take your time, you using ult? try to get a better angle, using his tactical? wait and see if the enemies dumb enought to shoot the decoys.

A good change that could be done to mirage is making the decoys automaticly shoot bulets at enemys (these would do no damage )
Yeah, as a self-proclaimed pretty decent player Mirage is absolutely terrifying to come up against from my perspective. My lobbies rarely host him as most people are just losers who run Horizon, Wraith, Octane, and Path. I’m just not used to going against Mirage, so in tight spaces his ult can seriously fuck me up. In open spaces though, it’s a whole different story.

Some more tips use his ult invisibility if someone is pushing against your cover and hes ult invisibility let's you walk through caustic traps wich was very useful to me in the fragment east building

What does the Golden Knockdown Shield do?
It does what the gold backpack use to do. Which was restore revived teammates to 50% shields and 60% health.
‘Guardian angel’
Just barrage the enemy with input(sound or visual) so that they struggle with finding to focusing on you, it works surprisingly well on all level of players
One time when I was going for a rez I threw a thermite next to me so it would be harder to hear me rez and Because the door was completely broken
Also they need to make mirage fully invisible when he is reviving not showing the bright things on his arms
You can throw out a decoy while healing
I'm a mirage main and lost count of how many times I've played solo in trios and won..as for the revive..always keep a decoy when you do revive..fire the decoy infront..then take control of it so people think the decoy is the real mirage
yeah as a mirage main i have spectated some matches of others who use him or when a team mate uses him but its all wrong...like they use his abilities etc at wrong times or they dont even bother to use them yet end up killed...

"run in a straight line" pretty sure anyone could the spot the real one easier that way. If you want to escape make the real one look like a clone. You can full clip someone if you have a clear view of them from your ult

Don't always throw our your decoys! Sometimes it's better to not send them out and get the sneak attack off on someone instead. Sending decoys out just to get noticed by enemies who had no idea you where around allows them to prepare defend themselves far better than if you got a lil closer and started blasting
Used to be a mirage main and now I can’t get bamboozled
If you throw your decoy into a thermite grenade it will give you the location of the enemy that threw it
Revive can have a bug and the enemy will see you and decoy can die for absolutely non reason.

Yesterday I played against a Mirage and when he used his ult I quickly figured out who the real one is because he had a Sentinel on his back but his clones didn’t. So it was a pretty easy kill, poor Mirage
I think Mirage should have self revive and he should be able to use three controllable decoys.
Another tip, you can run or walk to traverse the map 😱😱😱😱
also to add few tips if u by chance fighting a damaging kinda legend lets say watsonn fences fuse tact or ultimate n etc just throw ur decoy into em n they will show their location for brief moment giving u bit of info...... 7k kill mirage main still virgin mirage main xD

On paper bad.. that is if you dont have a creative mind, because his abilities are all about creativity.. trust me you know what I mean if you have actually played him. Its an art of boozeling, or be the boozle, boozling everyone in the face, winning about 75% 1vs3. Not one boozle will be the same nor performed with the same usecase.. Yeah his abilities are bad on paper.. no.. not at all.. truly, there is not even another legend around there where in about any situation you can use your abilities usefull. Also, reviving in safespots? Hell no with mirage, let them come for the, mirage entrage.
