Not sure if I had seen this video before. Great video to watch!! Your videos have improved GREATLY since this one was posted!! Thanks Liam Hoffman for what you do and DOUBLE thanks for allowing us to watch over your shoulder!! ☮️ Brother!!
I have been carving for close to 25 years, and have been doing some bush crafting and bush carving. As soon as the piggy bank is filled i'm interested in purchasing that wood carver axe. That thing is Rawesome Sick! Maybe the little boy in me, but what an axe! I saw the woodsman finest and i was highly impressed!
I love seeing how efficient your manufacturing process is. I forged a bearded hatchet and it took me half a day, here you bang out half a dozen in 13 minutes.
I feel like if you want one of these axes you have to be patient guys, it’s these small handmade batches that make the product what it is. When I buy an axe from Liam, I want Liam to have worked on it, not a bunch of helpers. Give them a break, they aren’t subservient to your schedule, they are craftsman. If you want an axe, go buy one; if you want an heirloom you have to respect the process.
Wow, just phenomenal. I’m looking for a carving axe and it was either the Gransfors bruks axe or the robin wood carver. I like this much better, hopefully will have the chance to pick one up!
Liam, what good is putting out all these great vids, if we can't get our hands on an axe to buy!!!!! Please up your production, hire help, whatever you got to do. We need more axes.
I miss your inspirational growth, craftsmanship, and I miss witnessing your progression as an entrepreneur. My family and I wish you well and hope for the best. Please feel free to reach out to me...
I wish you would get out that book and make some 1 off stuff. Those were good videos. It would be nice to see a hewing axe....something to compete with the Newman (Northmen Guild) axes...maybe like a goosewing or a Canadian style hewing axe.
You have got this axe making down pat mate, well done to you and your team. So good to see young people involved in such a great craft as blacksmithing and making a living from it.
I WILL get one Liam Hoffman!!! I've been edged on blade hq 3 times I've missed the opportunity. Again on the Pre order about a year ago now. 😒 I will have 1!!! Lol . . . and a Wasatch the 3 pounder for myself, 1.5 for the Wife. . . and a Hawksbill that I should have pre ordered!!! When I ordered my camp axe (That I'm still waiting for) it was right before you opened the books on the Craft Carver, before I got back to put down my deposit it was too late. Lol Anyway it is what it is. Glad your business is doing well. I emailed Jacob about a month ago now, with regards to my camp axe, I haven't heard back from him. I'm not certain if he's still managing that aspect of your business. I am wondering though.
I have a crazy potentially interesting Damascus pattern idea. Have you ever cleaned up the slugs from forging the eyes and tried to make a canister Damascus billet with them?
Hey Liam, Long time follower here, also a knife maker.... I would love to order a trappers axe, but the link on your site is broken. Please let me know how to proceed. Thanks for the great content!
every evening i leave my flower shop and head home to give the Mrs. a smack on the toosh and a kiss, and i go straight to my shop to fire up the forge. about 3 hours into pouring sweat and swing hammmma i always think, "man i should invest in a power hammer".... then i watch a video like this and think "where is the skill?, where is the craft?, if you're gonna use a power hammer, may as well have bought a cnc...".... then i feel like a dick. but freal blacksmithing is much more impressive with hammmmma

This is so cool to watch!!! Props to the camera person to get all the shots and angles.

Always enjoy watching you work, would like to see more of your hand forging whenever you get a chance.

A well oiled machine. Look at that production coming from the shop. Keep er up fellas
my brain knows how difficult it is to use those power machines, but because you use them so well, my eyes keep telling me its probably easy LOL
You should make an axe from all the plugs youve removed over the years. Or send them off to green beetle or something
Plugs from drifts are scale and not steel.
Holy shit that lip reading was fucking hilarious I lost my shit so hard my wife thought I was going crazy.
Great video .ease with u move from one machine to another is fantastic. U got steel arms👍🏻

Ty Liam, always amazed watching you work steel!!!
Beautiful work, nicely filmed. Thanks!
Well you definitely have it figured out. Great work

Wow... what's up with no videos? I hope everyone is doing ok.
They had to take a break to catch up with orders. Back soon.

Very little actually being hand hammered. These are handmade, but without huge machines they would in even shorter supply.
Hope all’s good with you.
Buen video, como siempre! Un saludo desde España

From one youtuber to another, love your channel bud! One of these days I’ll justify buying an axe of that quality. Cheers!
We haven't had a video in a month I'll get back to that series about making axis out of the book I'd like to see a log hewing axe
try forging a finnish collared axe (exp. billnas, kellokoski)
@@HoffmanBlacksmith96 ok nevermind
I WILL get one Liam Hoffman!!!

Very Cool process Sir
Hi Hoffman Blacksmithing, I'd like to ask for your opinion. What do you think of putting a large axe head on a small handle, say 12"?
Hell yah brother always enjoy seeing you making bad ass axes like this👍👍great work and great video
I have a crazy potentially interesting Damascus pattern idea. Have you ever cleaned up the slugs from forging the eyes and tried to make a canister Damascus billet with them?
So when are these craft carvers gonna be ready to order?
Hey Liam, Long time follower here, also a knife maker.... I would love to order a trappers axe, but the link on your site is broken. Please let me know how to proceed. Thanks for the great content!
Where'd y'all go....? 😟
Hi, amazing work, please advise if you sell you axes
Liam, what is the dimensions of the billet you use?
Thank You
Forget the Shirts YOUNGBLOOD. Get me an axe. Called, spoke with really cool guy. Said back ordered.
GET ME AN AXE. CARVING AXE.
So... about that slow mo. pizza eating cinematic sequence.
When.
Sorry, totally novice stupid question. Is using the machines still makes the axes considered hand forged?
I want one! When can I get one of these?
I think that would really Test your skills being flat on one side
Nice video
Didn't recognize the branding......have you changed your mark? Or these being made for other vendor??

I forge with two rocks, a campfire and make my own steel, that steel hammer and anvil is just cheating in my mind.
Where did this guy go?
For anyone wondering, Liam is actively working and posting on his Instagram. Don't know why he forgot us RUclips fans ...
Maybe because he's actively working.
I've seen Max bragging about you and these carvers. I'm sure that you live up to all that he said.
I need a Hawksbill Liam
Damn !!! I’ve got the money!!!!! But every time I try to order a caver axe the sight says books closed !!!! Two years now 🤬
Missing your vids, hope all is well.
Hey Liam, where are you?
Went to buy a book but $35 postage to Australia have to think about that one sorry
Liam, you look like you evolved to sustain yourself with the untouched leaves at the top of the tree.
