I laughed at the idea of having amnesia and slowly discovering your curse. That was the basis of my 2-year Ravenloft campaign. :) In the end, half the party embraced their curses and the other half defeated them.
The mustard curse slaps! As the witches gnarled hands wring the pumpernickel, her gnashing visage contorts into a wrathful gaze. The table begins to shake. Pots and pans spin widly on the hanging hooks. "With yellow poison and seeds of malice, all that glitters is mustard!"

I’m early in a campaign as a 1st time DM, and I wondered exactly how to tie in an early story arc. I think this might be what I need.
