Thor being the God of Thunder without his hammer is the best thing to happen to Thor. Thats one of the reasons I like Ragnarok so much. He is the god of thunder, not the god of hammers.
Thor beating the soul out of Tony post-civil war was one of the most cathartic comics I've ever read. Actually it probably is the #1 most cathartic comic I've ever read. A close second would be that time Spider-Man slapped Kingpin around like a ragdoll in front of his own men, grabbed him by the skin like it was a shirt, threatened to shoot webbing down his throat, and walked off.
Right up there with Tony Stark giving Matt Murdock his eyesight back and when Matt says “You shouldn’t play God” and Tony says “You’re right, this whole time I’ve been playing human”
This was less of a fight than the last one. This was no fight. This was a kid kicking over his toys and his dad telling him to put them back while he's reaching for his belt.
Mjolnir with the infinity stones seems like a good idea. That way only the ‘worthy’ ones could actually use the stones and that could make for some interesting storylines
The Thor Book is actually kinda ignoring everything else in the Marvel Universe. In the Thor book, He quit the Avengers when he became king and this is his first time Seeing Tony since War of the Realms.
@@Rhekon no, there's really actually nothing there. It's an intersection we're like... Like it was a town at one time? Funny story how it got its name to. They wanted to name it Porter. But there was already a Porter Oklahoma. So they just turned the name around backwards. But like there's no town there anymore really. It's just an intersection of country Highway with a tractor dealership at the intersection. And a couple of farm houses. Like literally I think two LOL
If I remember correctly, that first fight of Iron Man versus Thor was when Thor was pissed off by more than just the Ragnarok clone/cyborg thingy during Civil War. I vividly remember Thor going through a run-down place, looking at the destruction and his inner monologue was something along the lines of "...where are the barriers and all the heroes that would stand between these people and this destruction..." while he looked at what was a doll of a presumably dead kid. At that point in time, Thor was legitimately angry for more than one reason and Tony was out of his league. Shortly after the ass-whooping Tony got, the ending panels were Tony being notified that the newly built Asgard had 2 life force signatures instead of just one (Thor) and Tony reluctantly saying that for the time being he will ignore it while looking at the mess of his suit from Thor's ass-whooping.
That’s not the first time Tony and Thor fought they fought multiple times in the older comics all those fights usually ended in a stalemate Thor’s only beaten Tony twice
That comment “He’s not a bad guy” may need a little clarification, long standing fans may know but newbies may not understand that “bad” guys can wield Thor’s hammer 🔨.
Just to elaborate for anyone who is still confused, I can't think of any examples off the top of my head, but let's say idk juggernaut became worthy before his redemption, even though he is a "bad" guy he is still worthy, doesn't matter who you are if the hammer deems it you are worthy
"Bad" from whose perspective? What exactly defines "pure of heart"? There realistically aren't absolutes like that, so the enchantment can only go off of what conditions specifically were defined. Several of the worthy people - including Thor himself - have shown some bad attributes, while even unworthy, Thor was still a good guy... For all we know "worthy" may simply mean "having no doubts about dedicating their life to a bigger cause". The rest is a placebo.
@Mickey Mouse Not pure. "Worthy" is the operative word. The people who have wielded the hammer before now did so while fighting whole heartedly for their ideals. Think of Hydra Captain America.
"Do not mistake wielding my hammer for wielding my power. Mjolnir or not, I'm still a god." You'd think Tony, and certain writers, would still remember that☕🐸. Anyways, to me, this brings back the idea of the many unresolved issues that the within the Superhero. Captain Hydra brought it to the forgound in a spectacular fashion (only for Civil War 2 to be a mostly one-sided and poorly written mess) and it has since hardly been addressed.
When Superman [reminds] Batman "HE IS SUPERMAN", something that NEVER happens in DC comics and should rather frequently. Imagine Batman saying, "I have a box full of Kryptonite" and Superman unannounced throws a baseball through the Batmobile's engine block from apparently no where with the words "That is not going to help you, if I don't want it to", written on the ball. THOR has done this sort of thing to Iron Man so often Iron Man (Tony) does not push his luck too hard "But you seriously P'ed me off, dude!"
Donnie's Thor series is so awesome, never thought I'd enjoy a story that featured the return of Donald Blake, The last issue's cliffhanger was so awesome
What a pleasure Rob. You perfectly presented an entertaining, well written comic that didn’t involve the multiverse being on the line. Pure comic enjoyment, none of the death toll. Bravo!
That pulse Iron-man did reminds me of The Dark Knight Rises when they were taking pics of Bruce and he uses a device to shutdown all of their cameras lol

Marvel Theory: 1. Galactus gives Thor his power (breaking the enchantment). 2. Thor becomes the Herald of Thunder (after killing Galactus). 3. Black Winter shows Thor’s death 4. Thor sees a vision of Thanos leading an army while holding Mjolnir and wielding a black gauntlet (which explains why EVERYONE Is worthy). 5. Thor eventually realizes his biggest mistake.
i would love to see Thanos meet Hela in the mcu and fall in love and this leads to Thor and the Annhilators with Beta Ray bill having this terrifying but ultimately martian manhunter-esque vibe
If you call Tony's number you'll literally get a voice mail of pissed off Tony stark saying he changed his number because of "a certain blonde haired god of thunder"
Thor being the God of Thunder without his hammer is the best thing to happen to Thor. Thats one of the reasons I like Ragnarok so much. He is the god of thunder, not the god of hammers.
tell that to the fuckin genius known as "jason aaron"...
Well now thanks to Jason Aaron he's the god of hammers and it's stupid.
"You are a tin man in a lightning storm" is one of the best Thor lines in years.

Tony declared a prank war though. So there's that.

😂😂Good Analogy
Its nice when Thor is shown as the wielder of Mjolnir rather than Mjolnir wielding Thor
At least the hammer did not bring him off
The moment you realize that Bill can say words with “P” or “M”...
And can drink from a mug
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The power of stormbreaker
Take it easy on Bill. He has no lips, and his head looks just a couple weeks away from being a cow skull in the desert.
Parrots have a syrinx that allows them to speak without lips. Can't explain the mug thing tho.
That rundown between Thor and iron man was my favorite.
Have you seen the rundown with Luke Cage and Dr.Doom? That's the best one.
Such a cute panel, seeing that guy super elated flying through the sky. So wholesome
Almost the best of bros right there
It's interesting that Mjolinir never lands in the ocean.
Far too many fish would be able to lift it.
Idk why I’m laughing so hard at this 😂😂😂
The Sub Mariner would try to get it if it did.
Thor did toss it through a submarine in God of Thunder
