    Witness the awe-inspiring beauty of African elephants in their natural habitat, as the film explores their unique characteristics, communication skills, and strong familial bonds. Get up close and personal with these majestic creatures at a waterhole, feel your heart race as a massive bull elephant charges, and marvel at the sight of a whole family of elephants surrounding you.
    But “Murchison Falls” is more than just an intimate encounter with elephants; it showcases the incredible biodiversity of the park itself, including warthogs bathing, giraffes gracefully wandering the savanna, curious hyenas sniffing at the camera, and young lions playfully practicing their hunting skills. It's a virtual “Planet Earth” like experience, placing you right in the center of the action with no other humans present.
    However, “Murchison Falls” also confronts the challenges of climate change and human development in the park. The film highlights the changing landscapes and adaptations of animals like hippos and warthogs due to unprecedented rainfall, while addressing the tragic consequences of poaching and habitat loss. It sheds light on the construction of a new road and bridge, dividing the park and impacting the lives of the animals who call this haven home.
    Narrated by Sam Marks in an engaging voice-over, “Murchison Falls” takes you on a journey like never before, reminding us of our connection to these incredible creatures and our responsibility to preserve their habitats. Join this immersive VR adventure and let “Murchison Falls” inspire you to make a change.

    I’m new to VR and this is the first 360 video I’ve seen in its entirety. It is both stunning and mindblowing! I was so close to a lion cub, hyena and elephant that I felt I could almost touch them. I was devastated at seeing the baboon lying on the road. I was saddened by all the destruction of nature. This is the most immersive experience I’ve had thus far in VR. Loved every minute of it. Thank you so much for producing such amazing content!

    I love the parts where the animals get really close to the drones (I assume it was drones)
    Especially the Hyena

      Glad you enjoyed it. Actually only the moving shots (e.g. flying over the falls, over the giraffes) were shot with a drone. The static shots are all filmed with a VR camera on a tripod.

      Not yet.. we may release it in an application via App Lab, and it should be in Pico Video any day now. How are you, still in Venezuela? Merry Christmas :)

      @@Vrgorilla1That is smart. It would be nice to figure out a way to have Meta TV pay us like RUclips for our views. Videos looks so much better on Oculus TV then RUclips, but I am getting really tired of giving them my content for free and not have them provide any feedback. Good luck on getting 8k to work in an app. I struggle in the Oculus Launch program to get that to work. So surprised that Pico was willing to pay for a 25 minute video. That is super long for them.

    8k sure? I see it only 4k

    • @Vrgorilla1
      @Vrgorilla1  4 месяца назад +3

      Unfortunately it has not fully been processed yet. Probably because it's quite long for a VR video. Hopefully this will happen soon!

    • @VRGetaway
      @VRGetaway 4 месяца назад +2

      It feels like either RUclips is being harder on their compression of 8k videos lately, or that Meta is causing distortion of RUclips videos to force us to upload to Meta/OculusTV. It is so frustrating for I know this video was absolutely stunning footage, but it is coming through not looking great on RUclips. Sorry friends. I will happily share any ideas I come up with if you could be so kind as to also share any ideas you are coming up with to solve delivering nice quality videos and still earning some money to help us stay afloat trying to work in this VR 360 medium.

    Only about 15 sec viewing the Falls.

    • @Vrgorilla1
      @Vrgorilla1  4 месяца назад

      Well, it's actually much longer than that :). But the whole park is called Murchison Falls (not just the waterfall), hence te title. But I can see how that is confusing.
