This is the first-video on our two week self-drive safari across Uganda! In this video, we left the capital of Kampala and visited the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary - the only rhinos in Uganda - on our way to spending two days in Murchison Falls National Park. In the park, we saw the rest of the big five, including lions, leopards, elephants, and more!
Thanks for visiting my country home Uganda and enjoying the potholed roads and chaos, we do appreciate
Uganda is such a beautiful country! Thank you to all of the welcoming people!
Superb… and really helpful. Respect 👍
Appreciate the kind words!
Thank you for visiting my home Uganda, please visit again.
We absolutely loved the country and the people. Hope to be back some day!!!
My country the Pearl of Africa. Thanks for visiting
Beautiful country!
Thanks for your videos guys - we have just returned from 3 weeks in Uganda. What an amazing country! We stayed in Mama Washindi's too!
We imagine you had an amazing time!! So great you all stayed at Mama Washindi's as well. Thanks for the support!
@@StNickTravels It was utterly brilliant - life changing in fact.
Very nice guys, we did a similar trip there in 2013. We had a ranger and a driver, but were in a much less cool vehicle. We did a Nile river boat tour, but we did the small boat, that was maybe 20' long. Our boat guide put us almost up under some elephants. Thanks for capturing the beauty of the experience.
That sounds amazing! It must have been even more rugged in 2013. It is definitely an incredible park!
GREAT TO WATCH YOU GUYS IN OUR COUNTRY.
Thank you! The people we met in Uganda were some of the kindest we met anywhere! We'll have more videos of Uganda to post in the coming week, you can subscribe and follow along!
Great experience next time u may want to have a go at Kidepo national park NE Uganda. Thanks
I feel happy wherever I see good comments here especially when it comes to my profession....I guess you guys enjoyed the trip thanks for touring the Pearl of Africa
Great video. Just curious, did you book your accomodation in advance? Any tips or recommendations would be awesome. We are thinking of driving Uganda for approx 14 days. Thanks
Oh yes! We actually have a whole video on Uganda tips here: ruclips.net/video/x1HaOCC52Gw/видео.html. You can also watch our full Uganda series here: ruclips.net/p/PLetLNU3WfMw7fXztnhEJ6E1gVXDHyGVzU
Here is our map of Uganda with all of our accommodations and attractions: www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=16PlWjW6-S_OiUK-sMe2JDAvJxfjRgcE&usp=sharing
We did book all of our accommodations in advance and I think that is recommended!
Awesome video. Thanks for telling us where you got the vehicle.
Can you talk about prices when you do this? How much was the rental? Park passes? Lodging etc. It would so helpful when planning a trip. Or maybe include that in your description so people can see?
Thanks,
G
Great point! I'll see if this is something we can fit into the description! For your purposes I can list a few things here:
Vehicle - $700
Safari Park Fees - $45-70
Gorilla Permits - $700
Chimpanzee Permits - $200
Lodging - around $50 per person, per night, boarding inclusive
Definitely an expensive place but well worth it!
Great safari
Did you need an IDP or was your driver’s license fine?
Regular drivers license was just fine!
What month were you there?
This was in late-July and early-August!
cool trip! thx for the Rhino tip! At what company did you get your car? i would like to rent the same :p
Glad you enjoyed it! We rented through 4x4 Uganda! www.4x4uganda.com/ They were very affordable and helpful whenever we reached out. Vehicle was older but exactly what we needed!
