@@cpucat nice ram, not certain on the cpu prices but probably under $50-60 used (Am3/+ goes for around that) you could buy stock or go as low as a 939 (can fit Am3 as well as up to modern AM4/5, not as good as stock probably though) I didn't notice the psu model Should look it up with Speccy How many sata 3 ports? AM3+ can have up to 24 (good luck finding that board but it make a nice NAS for cheap lopl)
@@patg108 the board has 7 SATA ports, and an integrated RAID controller I didn't bother to set up It uses Socket FM The motherboard says it's an "ASUS F2A85-V A85"
@@cpucat according to a google search you can go up to 32 to 64 GB. You'd want to have 1866 (common ddr3 is 1333 mhz) It'd excell at XP, would do well for windows 7. And on low settings if given a good gpu (like a 1080 for instance_ you could play some modern titles. The CPU even if you upped it to a Athlon X4 would be the bottleneck though
