Cool thing to know about Ice Age is that they wanted it to be an improved version of the og Alpha set. That's also why a lot of Ice Age cards are copies from Alpha (eg Dark Ritual, Giant Growth etc) or slightly different versions of Alpha cards (eg Abyssal Specter).
I've been slowly building a 540 card premodern cube for over a year, so seeing this type of collection is pretty wild. Even simple stuff like Frantic Search and Unearth can be hard to find in reasonable condition.
Winds of Change is like 9 to $10, Trinisphere is $30+ and Aphetto Alchemist spiked with Nadu...Also, I'm super jealous of this by and have watched every episode with envy
There's actually a wonderful deck from the dawn of modern with Aether Vial called Eternal Command. It used Vial to cheat mana on Eternal Witness to set out a counterspell lock with Cryptic Command, so you counter their spell, bounce your Eternal Witness, vial it back, get the Command back. Yknow, if we're giving away a vial.
I'm more excited to hear back about those Mirage misprints, hope you give an update if they turn out to be money. That stone rain wasn't in great condition, but you never know. Always love to see classic misprints, very cool.
I was so fingercrossing for some real extreme high values there, just to listen to the reaction. Especially with the old artifacts, I crossed my fingers for something like a lion's eye diamond.. :).
In '94 when I started playing, I traded my Bayou for a Dancing Scimitar. An older kid at the gaming store hosed me, lied to me, and I've been salty about it ever since. I have not traded a single card since then.
So cool to look through a collection with so many playable cards :D i bought some much smaller collections but it was mostly bulk with some value put inside. It was such a different experience then this :D cant stop watching And yes i would like to see your foil collection video^^
I am really surprised you didn't run into a big stack of Mystic Remora's in the Ice Age stuff. Wow, I didn't even realize Aether Vial started as an uncommon.
New viewer here: love the content! Thinking of doing something similar with my main business being slow at the moment. Where’s a good place to source collections? I just recently got a decent one from fb marketplace but not sure where else to source them. Keep up the awesome work, love seeing these old cards!!
You blew right past my favorite magic art of all time Goblin Swine-rider in the first stack it brought back a lot of nostalgia Edit: I saw a jeweled amulet around 32-33 minutes I think thats iver $2
I haven't finished watching the whole video yet but so far it looks like the channel members got the short end of the stick on their give away card this time.
Oh snap i won something???! Marked on calendar as the first giveaway I've ever won in my life!!!!!! (I'm 36) 😂 I've got a luck level 1
always spec in to luck!
@@welcome_to_the_own_zone lol, big true
@@welcome_to_the_own_zone unfortunately RNG says no you don't get too choose those specs. *Closes eyes and hits randomize button 5 times*
