My friend is like that I think it maybe the issue with system language.
@samuelh9581 was thinking the same thing just now, it reminds me of games a decade ago throwing errors because the language/font package was not installed, this could very well be the problem considering the anti-cheat package, but this would be quite the newbie mistake from the bear's development team.
I can see this. Whenever I try to play with my friend in the DLC it tells me “inappropriate activity detected” and logs me out. I have to restart the game in order to play again. It happens occasionally which is annoying.
@@Mizt_Sim I guess EAC detects when the CCPs internet watchdogs remotes into your system to look up your activities, which they do with every chinese citizen....

I’m Chinese and I lived in the US for 8 years. This might surprise you but most people I know in China who’s heavily invested in Elden ring and other souls games don’t know how to turn off the blue bear. As a matter of fact, websites like Nexus mod gets blocked by the GFW and there’s no “toggle anti cheat” sort of thing on Chinese net. I guess that’s why they are complaining?
Plus, a lot of us Chinese gamers are cheaters especially in online play, I hate to acknowledge it but it’s the truth. I won’t apologize for them cause I’m not one of them but still every time shit like this happens I feel ashamed.
Dont worry even if it's a stereotype, alongside indians being IT tech scammers and americans being fat. Videogames are for one's own entertainment and the addition of cheats is what i would call in american terms: "player enablement" even if it ends up ruining multiplayer. It's up to the developers to stop that, which naturally creates friction.
Why would you want to disable anti-cheat ?

@@MushhDoom Anti cheat wrecks performance on lower end rigs like mine lol, but other than that it's like he said - chinese players love to cheat
In many non-english-speaking countries it's substantially harder to purchase or build a high-end gaming PC, because essential parts such as GPU's and CPU have no real domestic equivalent, or really bad ones, so have to be imported which often severely increases their price and reduces availability. I live in Brazil and I can tell you that every single US-imported part such as a NVidia GPU costs from 50% more to double even after you take currency conversion into account. Though Brazil does have an egregious tax on imported electronics I doubt it's only a problem here.
Anything that hampers performance such as anti-cheats and DRM will get extra hate in those countries.

From my understanding. The easy anti cheat is set up to connects to a global server which is "firewalled" since China blocked international internet access. It's also very low in Korea and Japan with only a 49% percent positive rate.
But that should be consistent across the main Elden Ring and DLC, what separates the DLC from the game we've been playing for the last two years?
As a Chinese who browse Bilibili quite often, the negative review is simply bcs Elden ring attract far too many ‘casual’ players that can only beat the game thru ‘the wall’ Strat or ‘wheelchair’ Strat(using broken weapons/spells/incantations)
Now these players are struggling in DLC bcs they can’t dodge for shit due to bosses being more aggressive in DLC, plus they can’t drop their ego to admit they just have skill issue, so they review bomb and blame the DLC for being unreasonably hard

In terms of why Chinese players hate EAC, it is possible to be a VPN related issue. Because of the internet situation in China, Chinese players need to have some sort of VPN (VPN, clash, accelerators, they have different names) running to access Steam. It's likely that EAC mistakes some of them as cheats and causes problems.

I just want some frames man, the base game ran beautifully locked at 60fps and now I'm at a solid 45-50 fps in open world which wouldn't be as much of an issue if my inputs actually went through
I do think the DLC is a little overtuned. Too many HP sponges (to be fair, this was also an issue in the late base game), and it feels tuned for level 250+ end game players, not post-Leyndell as was apparently recommended by Miyazaki. It's honestly not too bad, but I do think it would benefit from being tuned down. And I'd rather see them add a few extra enemies while reducing their HP. Even one extra enemy in a room can create a sizable difficulty spike, depending on what the enemy is and where they are. I'm not asking for more Anor Londo archers, but that is actually a good example of how an extra enemy can spice up the difficulty. They were certainly more interesting than just jacking up the HP and damage of the enemies.
I appreciate the editor actually check the Chinese reviews but I think he did it wrong. What the editor check are the review for the base game but not those reviews for the DLC. only bad thing about dlc is the scudtree shards locations, NOTHING else, when you do 1-2% dmg on bosses without scudtree shards it becomes very boring, once you have a few its normal elden ring.
They probably did it to "protect" their upcoming first AAA game, Blackmyth Wukong. Being patriotic.
The bosses feel faster and far more ruthless. Love it. Gives me a reason to summon mimic tear with no shame

Lmao I can't with you people
Mr. Editor in Asmon basement, please keep cooking. You are the reason why people are subbed on Asmon YT channels anyway.
still don't get the whole "just use a broken build like me" take like how does using a broken build make the dlc any better? the fact you are essentially forced to should say a lot more to these people then they realize
I can't believe I'm in a world where Kai beats Elden Ring before Asmon. Crazy.
Not hard to believe tbf, just watch any playthrough of him playing souls games, and you realize very quickly how hes not adapting well with these games, hes always starts off being very terrible in every game. The only time he did good with souls games are with demons souls and base elden ring.
Apparently, the chinese couldn't gitgud.
The editor always be calling Asmon's bullshit out. I love it.
Of all clips channels this one actually produces additional content instead of only snippets of the original. Love it!
Funny how the chat is so overly negative towards Chinese players when they absolutely have 0 context of the real issue.
Am so use to it 😅
Chinese players are the real issue... Look back at every popular multiplayer game... Where were most of the cheaters located? In China.
Tbf, alot of time Chinese users do have quite a serious problem with negative reviews, review bomb and harassment, and not forget about cheating, spamming and so so many more issues. They are like if all of gaming problem become intensified because of the sheer amount of people. In my country there is literally a term for cheaters called Chinese sage/wizzard/sorcerer.
The globalized market caused this. American or Japanese companies have been trying to sell their shit in China for ages now. And the more they succeed the more they cater to people that want something else than we do. Japanese games used to be a niche some people in the west liked playing because they were Japanese. Then the Japanese started catering to the west, and those games don't feel as Japanese any more. Just like Blizzard catering to China this creates a conflict of interest between the original fans and the new fans the corpos are trying to capture.
Chinese are also more likely to spend money on micro transactions and gachas, which is why that style of games have come to the west

It is interesting how no one talk about how bad the writing with the Elden Ring DLC. It did a Starwar + a game of throne season 8 in one move with Radahn.
THIS IS RAKHASA
SHE'S GOT MY BACK
SHE CAN CUT YOU DOWN IN ONE STROKE JUST LIKE MOWING THE LAWN
SHE CUTS DOWN AND DEVOURS
@@ganondorf66 its ok if you dont know what is good writing. Your comment reminded me of how many stupids believe Game of Throne season 8 was peak writing instead of peak comedy as it was.
The level of humanity stupid is showing once again.
Bad? We have Mohg literally have the best redemption arc in the game history and miquella is literally evil galadriel+gay sauron+Griffith and then you called the writing bad? My fellow tarnished can't read because his ass is always getting kicked by funny two men dancing in a lion suit.
No it isn't, and forgive me if I'm being cynical but I feel like you copied your opinion from somewhere rather than formed it organically because I've seen this opinion with identical wording in other places. There was pre-established lore which made the events of the dlc make sense, although how it played out was not expected. The point is that this is not some random asspull done for the sake of "subverting expectations" and that's kind of obvious beyond the most shallow skimming of elden ring lore you could possibly do
It's interesting how you don't seem to understand writing and arrogantly spout drivel without saying why it's supposedly bad.
We were unsure of what Radahn's true motivations were, so people claiming character assassination are plain idiots. Secondly, it is likely that Miquella used his power to enthrall him.
Really, it's not bad, and while you are entitled to your opinion, stating nonsense like this with such ludicrous authority makes you look very smooth-brained.
The Blue bear problem was with the base game. The most recent negative reviews from Chinese players are still due to the DLC's difficulty.
As was said from the naked master of rolly Polly who mastered the art of rolling, git gud scrub.
Makes sense. EAC is an awful program. Remove it and see your frames go higher and frame dips disappear. And the worst part of it its not even working as an anti cheat tool, it only ruins things for the normal customer. People here cry about denuvo but this one is a much worse tool when it comes down to dragging down the game performance.
Know what's crazy, I am traveling China currently. I installed it on my gf's computer here to just check out the dlc..Anti-cheat actually was a total pain in the ass. I had to jump through a bunch of hoops to get the game to load right.
Like playing offline?
i live in canada, and even for me easy anticheat would cause my game to never load and stay stuck on a black screen. so I found a way to bypass it, but now my accounts forever flagged so im an offline player.
@@darkelftenak so you bypassed eac which allows you to play online only to stay offline anyway? why?
@@monoono4051if his case is true, then it means certain amount of players not allow to play the online part of the game just because they located in China.
@@lukkkasz323Ah i probably explained it poorly, I dont play offline by choice. me bypassing eac caused the game to flag me for inapropriate activity, so i have no choice but to play offline. what i did was go into the games folder and swap eac and eldenrings names with each other, this lets you boot up the game without eac, however this will also cause the game to flag you.
So the western gaming community just completely misread the situation then
Not necessarily if you count just the western reviews XD.
No people are still restarded
Don't forget that Elden Ring, just the base game, launched with a mixed review.
for good reasons, which they still haven't fixed
Not surprised. Back in DS3 I ended up with a few corrupted files due to my connection to the server going wonky, and I got softbanned before I even realized what happened. I was able to get the ban reverted after verifying the files, but I'm not sure how viable that solution is given the sheer volume of players that seem to be affected by this.
Basically "game sucks because we can't cheat and grief invade."
skill to win DLC ,thats expected from elden ring

Simplified Chinese = CCP
Traditional Chinese = actual Chinese people
The Chinese guys playing helldivers 2 are my favourite people to Pug with. Always friendly, loads of teamwork and we tend to pass the mission.
A couple of years ago, it was also the case for me in Lost Ark, always did their job, always knew the fight, always friendly when stupid mistakes were made, and we cleared almost every time.

Good try buddy lol
Another comment puts more context to be this where the blue bear's Chinese version apparently is a buggy mess that logs them out of their games or something. It's from the comments though so shrugs either way.
That aside, I remember one game where I rely on Chinese servers in multiplayer (not player vs player though but co-op) cause they have many cheats on and I don't wanna grind so I jump in a room with them and chill, let the cheats carry me lmao.
Social credit score +50
Chinese reviews should be separate, its insane how one country can affect review score so much
Don't really care about the anti cheat thing. But this dlc has been pretty disappointing to me. The open world feels very front loaded with content, at lot of the later areas really don't have much in them and feel like they're just there to look pretty, and it gets tedious exploring when you keep not finding much. There's way too many repeat bosses from the main game (I've counted at least 9 so far), for the price of this dlc that seems pretty unacceptable to me to reuse bosses and enemies. I don't find the main bosses fun at all, I hate that fromseoft seems to be catering to the top 1% of people who want the game to be as hard a humanly possible. This dlc could have been half the size and have almost the same amount of content if it didn't have so much filler. Overall I haven't had anywhere close to as much fun with it as the main game. It just makes me miss the dark souls days when every area had a purpose, every boss tried to be a different type of challenge. Every main boss in this dlc does the same things, they all have long high damage combos where they instantly close the gap to the player, they all have annoying grab attacks you have to perfectly dodge, they all have ranged spells and aoe's, they all constantly spam moves and don't have any down time for recovery, and the camera sucks in pretty much all of them. This might be the least fun I've had playing a fromsoft game, and I've played ds2 like 3 times.
I started my Soulsborne journey with bloodborne. Its why I'll always go for fast dex builds. That game taught me that aggression has to be met with aggression. And thus i will slam myself into the enemy until i win by hitting them before they hit me
chinese complaining about anti cheat, wonder why...

The funniest part is this would get the editor banned in Asmons chat for trying to pull a gatcha.
I dunno. Going through the translated reviews myself. The majority are just salty noobs, not complaining about the anti-cheat, just about how they suck at the game.

Tbh i usually end task of blue bear and play offline cause it really causes performance issues, my fps is alot better after that
They just need to add the Chicken Hat. The one from MGS5, you want it easier, fine here you go, but you have to wear a stupid hat.
So... let me get this straight... Those who hate it, are the same people who use both the anti-cheat and easy mode mod?? Now it makes perfect sense.
At first I thought little blue bear was referring to Xi Jinping
If the Chinese are having a hard time with AC that's a good thing lol.
