what you did for the breakdown @1:35 is fucking amazing
i'm guessing you're referring to the "pinch harmonics" used for the breakdown. you can probably find some vids on here explaining it but basically you attack the string with your pick angled so you hit it with the pick and your thumb at the same time and it creates a pinch harmonic. look it up and i think you'll be able to figure it out :) thanks for watching!!!
oh I know what they are haha! I'm just saying you nailed them and it sounded like natural harmonics as well! it just surprised me because I didn't hear them in the original mix haha. anyways, good stuff!

thanks! i think i actually played bass for this one to record a DI, and then re-amped it using toontrack ezmix2. i will sometimes program bass midi but pretty sure this one is played.

Is it the amp or pedals that give the BMTH sound?
It’s the guitar and the amp sim. I’m plugged directly into my interface recording dry (DI) signal and then throwing an amp sim on the guitar using Toontrack ezmix2.

Schecter c1 plus in this video. I also have: schecter solo 6, schecter km-7, ltd ec256fm, peavey void iii, and a couple bass and acoustic guitars. Don’t really count my fake strat because it needs some work and it’s just a cheap guitar I fixed up a little. Thanks for watching!!

Just out of curiosity, what kind of references did you have on this mix? It's allllll over the place.
just used the original as reference but mostly mixed it to what I thought sounded good using toontrack ezmix on each bus channel and the master channel. and the drums are probably just what I got with a toontrack ezdrummer/superior drummer preset.

thanks! i recorded DI guitar and reamped using toontrack's ezmix2. i'm not sure which guitar tones exactly.

thanks! and thank you for the sub, I returned the favor! I'm sorry but for this track and most of my newer posts have all used toontrack's ezmix2 for the guitar and bass tones. I only used pod farm for tracking DI....and now I have bias fx and a better setup with no latency so I track using that now. if you want the .l6t i used for tracking let me know or send me a private message and i'll try to get that to you. \m/
