I had an idea, inspired by the scene in Transformers the Movie where Megatron makes a pact with Unicron, where a fiendlock gets turned into a tiefling as part of their becoming a warlock. Might also include a scene preceding transformation where his chest is torn open and the terms of the pact are inscribed upon his heart.
That’s kind of what happened in the original movie where Megatron becomes galvatron I think it’s pretty dope. Your spot on with how it works. There is the indication that making a fiend pact could cause you to become Tiefling.
@@TheSinisterheroes Yeah. Like you said, shame there aren't subraces for the other major fiends. However until then a pact with Orcus might turn you into a dhampir. Not the same but at least it's a stopgap until, hopefully, the problem is solved.
Such a flavorful race in my opinion the possibilities are endless with this and since I already mentioned Zariel in the divine soul sorcerer I guess we could give attention to Asmodeus and make a character based on Rin Okumara or Yukio Okumara from blue exorcist and another way to see the whole. Trying to avoid one's fate as being used as food is by killing Asmodeus instead of resorting to lichdom and since Asmodeus can be a pro-genitor of a teifling so That's just another way to connect this character concept to blue exorcist and I love it
I love the Tiefling, I think there fun to play. I enjoy the untrustworthiness that come with them and how people feel around them makes them so cool in my mind.

Ok what kind of charlatan are you, like what is your con? Also what is your purpose for con ing? Do you just believe your smarter? Do you want to get close to someone specific with your con for revenge or something? Are you running away from something and this is a good way to make some quick golf to you get to where you need to be ? Wow I got really invested really quick
@@TheSinisterheroes the con is selling fake remedies, potions, or items, along with a bit of false divination. Sorta using the whole "fiendish heritage" thing as a tagline to "I have plumbed the darkest corners of the {appropriately scary place's name} and brought back knowledge lost to our time. Are you brave enough to try my wares?" The con is trickery, the success of which is how I validate my existence and grant myself worth. I am a trickster, like my mother and (believed) father before me. And though the world may shun and recoil from me, I am a legend who could talk the fiends themselves into believing my stories. That it's also a good way to fund my appetite for good food, fine wine, and comfortable rooms is also a major bonus. It's also an easy adventuring hook if I just need a reason to join the party.

I like to reflavor Tieflings as some sort of half-fiend, like a cambion or alu-fiend. Preferring the mother to be an erinyes. Since unlike most devils that were capable only of siring children, erinyes were capable of carrying them.
Yes like the abyssal Tiefling. I thought it had a good idea when I first read it but I’d have to go back to it. Though more Tieflings is always a good thing.
Yeah, I personally agree with the idea of Tieflings should have different resistances depending upon which arch devil they are related to. Such as descendants of Beelzebub have resistance to Poison damage, Descendants of Levistas having cold resistance And descendants of Zarial having resistance to radiant damage. The fact that all tieflings have fire resistance, regardless of which archdevil they're related to. always seemed kind of dumb to me mainly because most of the Arch Devils. have almost absolutely nothing to do with fire. The only one that does, as far as I know, is Methostophile's
I have to recommend Player's Handbook Races: Tieflings. It might be from 4e, but the flavor is _there._

Tieflings are one of my favorite races they kinda remind me of imps from Helluva Boss with in their appearance and lore.
I wonder if tieflings could have their equivalent of imp from helluva boss.

The only things I wish is that abyssal Tieflings would come back.
Tieflings are usually descendants of demons and devils. I can see tieflings that are descendants of Levistus having cold resistance instead of fire.
Tieflings in 5e can be decedent from people with fiendish blood Tieflings and anyone who made a deal with a fiend can parent a Tiefling
