I live in Eastern Kentucky, about 5 miles away from Rose Hill Christian Schools. This is where O.J. Played Varsity as a 7th and 8th grader. He played with Patrick Patterson and they obviously destroyed most of the competition. There is one crazy O.J. legend I think is awesome. Legend has it, as an 8th grader, O.J. jumped from the FOUL LINE and threw it down on my hometown high school Boyd County. It's crazy how his story went, I just wish it was better.

I used to watch OJ play when he was in high shcool... he's best friend and teammate Bill Walker was Vince Carter in the making... for real hops..... he was an absolute beast and him and Mayo together made them unstoppable. Walker went to Kansas State but blew out his knee, eventually got drafted but blew his knee out again. They were so much fun to watch!

I played basketball with O.J. He went to Huntington high. I went to a high school not far from there in West Virginia. Anyways we played AAU together, and also at a rec. league when we were round 12. OJ had all the talent in the world. Wasn’t as athletic as Kobe and Michael, but I watched all his high school games. He could have been special. He still did what was the impossible in our area though. No one make it from here really. Except Randy Moss, and Jason Williams (white chocolate). J Will was phenomenal though. Best guard I’ve ever seen by far. You wouldn’t even believe how good he was at Marshall University. Anyways thanks for making this documentary video.

OJ went to HS 30mins away from my house. I went to quite a few of his games, he was a beast
I saw OJ Mayo play in high school against top American and International talent and he was great at that level. He could shoot, pass, handle the ball, and already had an NBA body. He had a teammate in high school named Henry Walker that could jump out the gym and I saw throw down some jaw dropping dunks. Ironically, it was Walker that had the longer pro career even after 6 knee surgeries and a significant drop in athleticism. Too bad about Mayo, he had the talent to be a great pro.
