The Ferrari 312 PB, an iconic masterpiece, Scuderia Ferrari.
Ladies and Gentleman, behold the Greatest 3-Liters prototype ever made! ❤🔥 The car which turned into a Phoenix, 50 years later, set ablaze inside the 499P to avenge it's Le Mans' cruel fate in 1973 and be on the finally on The Top of Motorsport World as she deserved in the Centenary of the Greatest Race in the World! ✌🏻✌🏻
1972 was the year this car won the Sports Car Championship.
Amazing when you consider that this model of Ferrari held the fastest ever recorded road course lap on the old Spa in 1973 that I think was only beaten by Raikkonen recently. Over 163mph in 1973 as an average lap speed.
The 312PB in 1972 was the absolute beauty. A bit less in 1973 (this one, I think it is for the awesome rear wheels closure of the PB-72...). But the Long Tail used for Monza, Spa and Le Mans was outstanding. Even if the 1972 "medium-long" tail is my favourite by far! After all, as Enzo said: "If a car looks fast, it usually is." And in this case he was right... the 1972 was way better for the 1973 for the disastrous chassis modifications (elongated in the interaxis) made by Engeneer Caliri to the absolute perfect design of the allmighty Genius of Mauro Forghieri. If he was in charge that year too, we (I am italian) would have won the whole W.S.C. AND Le Mans instead of being stomped by the Matra MS670-B.
R.I.P Mauro ❤😢
very beautiful machines....and toys......with a hefty pricetag......enjoy....🙂
Una delle più belle ❤️
ah yes, that surely was an awesome event. They didn't drive the 166 in the last pit, did they?
This car is drugs.
