Hiii!! I feel like these braids are everywhere right now! I love it :) I have seen a bunch of requests ever since I posted a pic a few weeks ago. It's so funny because I used to be one of those people who didn't understand how someone could braid their own hair. After trying a bunch of times.. it finally came to me!! discussing what I do to keep my hair healthy. I I french braid my hair after every shower. If I am lazy - a regular braid will do. I love doing this because it allows it to air dry in soft waves. It also creates less frizz then if I were to air dry. Thanks to my keratin of course. As much as I love the Keratin treatments i've gotten the past few years, I feel like it may be one of the reasons for my eczema. I have been on a crazy mission to figure out how and when it all started. I'm not saying definitely but it could be one of the factors. My skin is so sensitive so I am looking into it further. I feel so bad for ppl in the comments, so I'm gonna try and help.
The first thing you do is start a normal braid. Then, you take a strand of hair from the right and combine it with your rightmost part. Then you braid it once, then take a strand of hair from the left and combine with your leftmost part. Keep doing this until you can't get any more hair from your hairline. After that you just finish off with a normal braid.
Keynote: Remember to braid going underneath, not over like a normal braid.

Christine Snow You can add any amount theres not like a specific amount but I usually add a few strands. I feel the less hair you add the harder it is, so you can start by adding more and then go a little less.

I've made it!!!!! I finally learned this, and I can do this with my extensions, and it looks just like hers! It takes only about 5 mins when you braid it, so good. Now I have always pretty hair in work, couple of co-workers compliment "your hair is gorgeous". Just keep practising, you learn it someday too. Im just so excited cause this was my dreamhair for so long a.d now I have it to myself too ❤

I have never been able to French braid my hair and was determined this time to not give up until i could find a way to do it. Your tutorial was so incredibly helpful. Bianca van Niekerk Ikr it's not fair my mom can do it on five minutes and when I try it I do finish in like 15 minutes with one braid and the bad part is when I finish the braid it looks bad cuz it's so loose I just can't do it tight like how do you do it tight
It take like 10-15 minutes for me to do myself. I have really thick, coarse hair so I have to moisturize it and condition and detangle and brush my hair down before I do it. Afterwards, I lay my edges

OMG!!!! I have literally trying to do this for like 6 months!!! I have always been able to Dutch and French braid other people's hair well, and I can also D/F braid my own hair on the side, but not the top like you show. I was struggling so bad with where to put my hands and what strand goes where for SO long. Thank you so much! I finally got it tonight!!

I've never even been able to do a normal braid myself, but after following your tutorial I braided the two dutch braids and it turned out great!
I find comfort in the fact that I'm not the only person that finds this literally impossible and that I think my arms may fall off.

I often go to sleep with damp hair, I never have any issue. I try not to in winter because it is cold, also if it's tied up it sometimes won't dry near your scalp.
Viruses cause illness, not wet hair, it's an old wives tale
+Amber Roberts not all illness is causes by viruses. Lots of people carry pathogens, if your immune system is compromised then they will affect you. If your body is using all energy to stay warm you could compromise your immune system. I've experienced it before, not from wet hair but it is possible if it was cold enough

Omg it’s been years but this was THE tutorial that taught me how to braid my hair like this and I j wanted to say THANK YOU!! For those who are still struggling, I’d recommend to simplify it. Basically it’s like a regular braid which is why you start w 3 strands. Then since the braid will be on your head, you’ll need to secure it down which is why you add a strand to the hair piece that will cross over. Try to braid at a steady angle so it doesn’t look all wonky and if you need to, tilt your head down to avoid loose braids. You got this!! 🫶
This tutorial was the first one that made the most sense to me. It was so easy to understand and I just did my braids along with you and they're the best I've ever done. Tysm!!
